Lex looked out the tent's only window, scanning for any monsters, but only saw an overgrown grassland that revealed nothing. While looking out at the landscape, the swaying grass and skyscraper-sized trees stood tall in the distance.
Meanwhile, the smell of a freshly cooked meal hit his nose, rumbling his stomach. Lex noticed the grey-haired princess approach, holding a plate full of meat and mash. She stopped in front of him with a big smile.
Emilia handed it over as she spoke, ''This is the last of the expensive food,'' she cautioned. ''It's boiling as I just dished it up, so be careful.''
Lex nodded but then saw her eyes widen, causing him to ask; she replied with a grin, ''Don't eat just yet. You need something else.''
