Lex nodded before sitting down and getting comfortable, followed by the other women. As they relaxed, a blonde maid appeared and bowed. ''Evening Mistress. Is there anything I can do for you?''

She was just about to dismiss the woman, but Lex spoke up. ''Can we get some tea, please? I'm thirsty.''

The blonde woman nodded as the others agreed, causing her to rush out of the room. Tila turned to him and spoke. ''That's Mary. She's been with me for years, so treat her well, okay?''

''Of course. I don't tend to mistreat people, and it's not who I am.'' Lex answered.

As he finished speaking, an unexpected memory surged into his mind, leaving him bewildered. It depicted the ambush the former version of himself endured.
