A THREAT TO THE GOVERNMENT

At the same time.

In one of the military wings of The G7 headquarters building at Guramanda capital.

The field observatory commander has been called to be notified of a breach in security.

"Confirm!" He bellowed.

"Sir! A breach of security has been detected in an island far away from the capital," a monitoring agent reports to the commander.

"What's on that island?"

"Nothing sir, it was a waste piece with a disused laboratory which we converted into one of the lockdowns for the ten!"

"Are there any Chosens there?"

"Not likely! In any case a chosen cannot go against our protocols sir."

"Then why are we getting this notification?"

He almost thought their machines were malfunctioning.

Suddenly another monitoring attendant shouts from his computer desk.

"Sir, our radar is picking up so much movement on the west side of the Island. This is quite unusual!"

"Are they hostile to us?"

"No! They are all dotted green meaning they are on our side!" The agent swipes his screen and the same is transmitted to a larger display on the wall in the vast room.

They all gatherered in front of the screen where the agent had casted the display of the dots rapidly moving in the forest on an island. They seemed to be chasing after two other green dots.

"If we have no Chosens on that Island except the prisoners, who are these thousands moving so fast within the forest?" the commander asked. "And who are those two being chased?"

Something was definitely not right.

Both the pursuer and the pursued seemed to be loyal citizens of the G7. But the two partied were definitely in a fight.

"Here, sir! I have contacted a nearby base for their immediate deployment of air drones and we actually now have a live feed from the forest!" the agent replied as he again casted the display on the main screen.

"What the…!?" they all remarked and stayed open mouthed as they stared on the screen.

Thousands of giant spiders crawled rapidly inside that forest. They were so many and so monstrous that the soldiers inside the military building felt shivers down their spines. But they could not see the two beings that were being pursued by the spider.

"Where did these beasts come from? And how are they pro-G7 and yet hostile to themselves?" an agent observed and analysed.

"They are part of us! This means they are part of the G7 creation!" another agent put in.

"You mean to say they are hatched within that laboratory? I thought the library was disused with no activity going on!" another agent contributed her doubts.

"You are all absolutely right," the commander began. "The spiders come from the lab. But something must have activated them. There were merely dormant eggs there which were not supposed to hatch unless a breach threatening the G7 occurs!" he explained in his cool domineering voice.

"Then the breach has just occurred, meaning the G7 is threatened!" he added.

There was silence in the room as all agents pondered upon the commander's words.

"Who could possibly challenge the G7?" a soldier asked from the other end.

"That is what we are to find out, immediately!" the commander said and turned to operators in the room.

"Find the nearest military base to the island and order an immediate invasion of the Island! Let them send two thousand strong soldiers prepared to fight off any threats. I am afraid the spiders might only be pro-government for a little while. Tell them there main mission is to find the threat that activated the hatching of these monsters!" he roared.

"Remember, if there are any Chosens on the island who do not pose a threat they must be spared!" he added and left.

The computer operators immediately executed his order and firm instructions were delivered to another island a few kilometers from the spider infested island.

On the other hand, Gad Pa and Chang had barely left the epicenter of the spider's earthquake. They were struggling to dodge the monster spiders as they looked for a way out.

"Aren't there any vehicles that we can use?" Gad Pa asked Chang sensing that with the much he seemed to posses he might just know what they needed to do.

They were at a bit safer distance now as they stopped to catch their breaths.

Chang looked at Gad Pa.

"What is your ability point, son?" Chang asked.

Gad Pa looked at him then at his hand with the digital clock-like display. On the wrist were the numbers clearly showing 2.4.

Gad Pa knew how low that was and was not comfortable telling the man. He silently raised his arm to him and Chang read for himself. Gad Pa felt ashamed.

"Amazing!" Chang said.

"What!" Gad Pa asked, surprised. That was not what he was expecting the man to say.

"With such low ability points do you really have any ability at all?" Chang said.

"Here it comes, I knew it! I knew it!" Gad said under his breath cursing his lack of talent again.

"Yet you have set me free! No way! No ordinary Chosen could set me free! What's your talent son?" Chang said and asked again.

Gad Pa looked at him, confused.

At one point the man had made him feel utterly useless. At another point he had suddenly expressed his amazement at Gad Pa's uniqueness. He felt confused.

But Gad Pa felt that he wasn't ready to reveal about his Divine Mind ability. As far as he knew there was no such ability within the G7 System.

"I have no talent," he said. "Come on! We need to keep moving," he urged the man and started running.

They made just a few steps before a huge drone with clear inscription of the government label - G7 - appeared right in front of them.

They stopped dead on their track.
