Chapter 74

Deity of human POV

With a wide smile playing on my lips, I strolled through the garden with Vincent, plucking some pretty flowers on the way. I unhooked my arms from Vincent's as I went to pick a beautiful purple flower which was shining charmingly.

When I turned around to show him the flower in my hand, the sky started to darken and I stared at it with a frown as it got darker. I walked towards Vincent and gripped his arm for some comfort when my hand passed by his figure and I couldn't feel him.

I tried to grab him desperately as my hand passed through his body every single time. Tears were gathering in my ears out of desperation and he smiled at me one last time before he vanished into the thin air.

I gasped as I woke up from the nightmare I haven't had in a while. Upon seeing Vincent after three hundred years, I felt happy knowing that he was living well in the human realm but it also reminded me of the things that happened years ago.

I've had a history with the current emperor and empress a couple billion years ago. The current emperor, Vincent, and I cultivated together since we were kids and as time passed, I fell in love with Vincent and the emperor fell in love with me. Cliche, I know but it's cliche for a reason.

The current empress was a royal princess back then, who had huge crush on the crown prince, the current emperor. She hated me to the core for a billion years just because the one she loved had his eyes set on me.

When the emperor, Blake ascended the throne, he even announced our engagement to the six realms without my permission and I barely broke it off as I set him up with the empress, Ember.

Ever since then, Ember stopped her stupid antics at me but Blake never gave up on me. After all these years, they haven't shared a bed or spent a night together because Blake still has feelings for me.

But after what he'd done to Vincent, I will never let him and Ember off the hook. I didn't want to stir trouble for the sake of Vincent and Blake being best friends when he was alive but now that they are against me, I will let them know what's the consequence for provoking me.

-------------------------

The day finally came and everyone was gathered in the hall. Selene sat by my side and the only ones remaining were the special guests to this feast, the emperor, the empress and Hecate.

"The emperor and empress have arrived!" A eunuch announced and everyone stood from their seat, bowing in respect.

Soon, they took their seats and announced the feast to begin. When everyone was toasting their drinks to congratulate me for returning safely, the eunuch announced the arrival of Hecate.

I wonder where her ego and boldness come from, she dares to come later than the emperor and empress. What a pity, that cocky facade of her will crumble down to my feet.

"I apologize for being late." She bowed to the audience before getting to her seat.

When she was seated, I lifted the spell with a simple wave of my hand. I can't wait for the drama to begin. I smiled as I took a sip of my drink. Soon, a loud gasp was heard and I pulled off an innocent look.

"What's the matter, Hecate?" I asked as politely and innocently as I could and her face was pale with horror as she stared at me, wide eyed.

"You-How come-I mean your majesty, how come you hav-"

"What? Do I have something on my face?" I smirked at her and she stumbled back.

"No, your highness. I apologize for being rude." She cast her eyes down as she collected herself and stayed calm.

Well, the game has barely started and she's already shaking.

"How was your trial, Ophelia?" Blake asked as he took a sip of his wine and I answered with a smile.

"It was very pleasant. Since alot of deities were asking me about my trial, I decided to show it to all of you, how the deity of human completes her trial." With the snap of my finger, the room was darkened as the short summary of Rosalind's life was displayed infront of everyone.

I watched with fascination as Hecate and Ember paled upon seeing it. Some gasped upon the entrance of Selene on the display and the room was soon filled with dark aura when they saw I was attacked by Hecate and Ember. Blake stood up from his seat as he glared at his wife who sat right by his side.

"Ember, what's the meaning of this? Hecate, explain yourself!" The emperor's voice boomed through the heavens and they shook in fear.

"Ophelia-" Ember started but I cut her off harshly.

"It's your majesty to you now that I will strip you off your title." I said menacingly as I stood up from my seat.

"Don't go too far!" She screamed and Blake slapped her across her face and she stood there, shocked.

The whole army started piling up inside the hall and Blake raised his eyebrows in confusion. The army had Ember and Hecate kneeled infront of me and Blake came to stand by my side.

"So, I was wondering what would be her punishment. Will you give the decree yourself or should I say it?" I asked as I looked at Blake and he hesitated for a while but soon gave me permission to do whatever I wished.

"The empress will be stripped from her title as she misused her authority and power to harm others. She will be exiled from the heaven and will reincarnate as human. She will never step a foot into heaven from now on. As for Hecate, her soul will be destroyed in the Hall of Destruction."

All the deities were on their knees as they listened to my order and two bitches were yelling profanities and cursing me but I shut them up with silence spell. They were soon dragged out of the hall and no one dared to utter a single word.

When a couple minutes had passed, something snapped and all the deities got on their knees and hollered.

"Thank you, your highness, for saving all of us. We've been fighting with the special spell from the empress for years. We will serve from now on and swear to never betray you." I smiled and asked them to rise.

In less than a blink of an eye, Blake was bound by golden chains as he fell to the floor and he struggled to untie himself.

"Don't bother, the more you try, the tighter it will get." I said and he looked up at me.

"Ophelia, what are you doing? Why are you doing this to me? I didn't know about Ember's antics, trust me!" He pleaded for help and it only made me angrier.

"You don't get to ask me to have mercy on you after you killed him. You didn't have mercy on him, why should I?"

"He didn't beg for mercy. If he did, I wo-"

"WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE?! Laugh at him till he's on his knees to beg you?" I sneered with anger running through my veins and he lowered his head.

"He was your best friend. He sacrificed his million years of cultivation to help to ascend the throne. How could you!" Blake didn't utter a word and I looked away from him, blinking rapidly as the nightmares I had were resurfacing and bringing me back to that tragic day.

"HE HAD EVERYTHING I COULDN'T HAVE! And I just helped Ember with her plans." Blake was surrounded by his white aura and I slapped him across the face and he stared at me wide eyed.

"I guess that's what I deserve." He muttered and I scoffed.

With a wave of my hand, he was lifted above the ground and made a harsh collision with a wall. Blake fell with a groan and the walls collapsed from the impact. The wall was made of crystals just like the rest of the decoration.

I gathered my power in the form of lotus flower, pure glass fire, one of the most lethal attacks which is forbidden in heaven. Only the royal bloodlines get to practice the method to protect themselves at the moment of danger and I learned it for years so that I can protect myself and avenge Vincent.

Blake lay on the ground, limp and almost unconscious when he beared the two attacks of my pure glass fire. I stretched my arm by my side and my golden whip appeared. Blake on the other hand, lay on his back so he could breathe better.

I started slashing him with my whip and he let out an agonizing scream every time my whip made contact with his already injured body. I should stop, considering the fact that he's the emperor and once my childhood bestie but when the image of Vincent disappearing into the thin air made me whip it even more fiercely.

After around a couple dozen thousand whiplashes, I stopped myself and Blake was already unconscious. It would take about a ten thousand years for him to regain his power and be able to walk again but it won't be enough. I will make sure he won't have a peaceful day because I will make him regret for not stopping Ember.

I will make him regret for ever having any feelings for me and wish he was never born. I will whip him thousands of whiplashes because that's what he deserves.

Be it this life, the previous or the next one, I will never let those who hurt my loved ones go. It's the vow I've made to myself ever since that tragic day when Vincent disappeared from the universe once and all.

Now, I am so glad that he's reincarnated after so many years and is living the life he deserves. Well, maybe not, considering the trauma he will have to go through but everything's over, I will give up everything and go back to his side.

Soldiers took him to the prison situated in my mansion. Talking about it, it looks like the vampires will be wiped out from the whole universe for once and all.

Hecate killed everyone who trained to be her disciple or anyone who wanted to get in the line to the deity of vampires. There's no one working under her or anyone who dared to go against her wish to prepare for the deity of vampires.

After Hecate was exiled, there was no one to take over her throne and it would take at least four hundred thousand years for a new goddess of vampires to take over and create a new world for them.

Well, one less work for me to worry about. I will just do what I am here to do.
