Third POV

knock knock

Both Vergil and his father turned towards the door than his father said

"come in" 

The door opened and I was surprised to see the guests it was Eliza, but then again looking at there expression it seemed they are worried and relived at the same time

"Good Evening Lord Winchester" Eliza said 

"Good Evening, I presume you are here to see Vergil" Father said

My father looked at her than looked at me and gave me a smile

"Thankyou for coming to visit my incompetent son" My father said to the ladies

"No No please don't say that, I wanted to thank Vergil" Eliza said clearly embarrassed because of my father 

"Okay Vergil I think its enough for today take a break for today I will see you tommorow" Father said with a inexplicable smile on his face 

'What was that for ' Vergil thought

"Okay father good night" Vergil bid farewell to father as he left 

"Farewell Lord Winchester" Eliza said to my father

Father then left the room leaving Vergil and Eliza in the room. she looked quite flustered for some reason

"Good evening Eliza, please have a seat" Vergil said offering her the seat next to my bed

"Ah.. yes .. good evening to you to Vergil" she said after waking up from her thoughts

She came and sat on the seat on my right and kept her head down 

There was an awkward silence between them which lasted for a few minutes, Vergil finally couldn't take anymore and broke the silence

"Are you alright Eliza" Vergil asked carefully looking at her

"What ... yes ...yes I am fine are you alright" She said clearly still in daze

"I'm fine, just a little sore," Vergil replied, wincing slightly as he shifted.

Again there was silence finally, as if she had gathered enough courage, said

"Thankyou Vergil for saving my life, and .... sorry because of me you got hurt" She said as she bowed a little expressing her apology 

Vergil panicked there for a little second

"No no don't bow I saved you because I don't wanted you getting hurt It was voluntary plus you were following my plan so it only makes sense to help you when needed" Vergil said as he stopped her from bowing

 "hiss" Vergil groaned in pain his body still quite fatigued every movement cause sever pain he began using mana flow, which slightly eased his pain

"are you alright" Eliza asked her voice full of concern

"nothing I told you my body still hurt a little on movement that's all" Vergil said as he grinned despite the pain

Eliza felt even more guilty as tear threatened to pour out of her eye

"Okay okay don't cry, remember what I gave to you at the party" Vergil said hurriedly in an attempt to prevent her form crying

"Yes you gave me a yellow rose" she said as she tried not to cry

"Yes, it means friendship, a beginning of a new bond, I told you , you are my few friends I will obviously be saddened to see you hurt, so I saved you without hesitation. Even in the future when ever you are in trouble I will try my best to help you, and I think you will do the same ,so please don't fell guilty okay" Vergil said seriously as he looked directly into Eliza eyes

Eliza surprised and happy that Vergil still considered her a friend, she felt ashamed of her previous behavior, then she said

"Thankyou Vergil for being my friend I know I am weak compared to you, but I promise I will become strong enough to help you" She said as her eyes full of resolve 

"Now Now you are clearly stronger than me an early Tier 3 mage comparing herself to a Tier 1 such as myself" Vergil said as he tried to joke a little

"Come on, don't lie even if you are Tier 1 your spells are still stronger than me" She said as she pouted a little

We looked at each other and laughed 

'it would seem she is back to herself' Vergil thought but than I grimaced in pain again

"okay don't laugh to hard you are still not well" she said still a little worried

"here I brought you something to eat" she told me as she showed me the basket she brought 

"Thanks I am famished" Vergil said as he has not eaten all day except for breakfast

Eliza laid down some sandwiches and cake in front of me as I began to eat them 

"They are delicious" Vergil said as he happily ate 

"Really then please eat more" she said as she smiled 

As I was enjoying my dinner with Eliza I heard another knock

knock knock

'who is this time' I thought 

"come in" Vergil said

The door opened and it was Eleanor who came to visit, I don't know why i felt a sense of de-ja-vu by seeing her, as she had the same ashamed expression as Eliza a few moments a go

"Ah lady Eleanor please come in" Vergil said as he smiled

"Miss Eleanor good evening " Eliza said as she greeted Eleanor

"Good Evening Vergil Eliza" Eleanor said as she surprised seeing Eliza here

"please have a seat " Eliza said as she brought another chair near Vergil's bed

Eleanor sat down but she was fidgeting as she had something to say but was unable to say it

"Lady Eleanor if you want to thank me, there is no need for it. I was the one who proposed the plan so I had to follow through it" Vergil said as he had a guess where this conversation was going

"Ah.. yes.... no that was not I was here... No I wanted to apologize actually" she said as she was flustered

"I am sorry Vergil, actually I looked down on you from the beginning. I insulted you and also I was basically useless in face of the assassin" She said as she clenched her hand turning her knuckles white

Than she felt a hand on her fists, she looked up and saw Vergil looking at her

"There is no need to apologize, its true that I am weak"

"No you are not you clearly...." She said hurriedly

"please listen to me" Vergil cut her off

"Its true that I am a Tier 1 mage, if not for my better mana quality I would be even worse than you. We were all facing a very difficult opponent you manage to face it in its self a great feat, so please don't look down on yourself its only a matter of tome when you become strong enough to squash that assassin to pieces" Vergil reassured her as he loosened her fist

"Really ... do you really think so" Eleanor asked hesitantly

"I am sure, you have more than enough talent than the assassin, plus even we worked together to beat the assassin, I alone would not be able to deal with her. look at you hand all these callouses are proof of you efforts and hard work" Vergil said as looked at her fair yet showing evidence of countless hours of blood and sweat 

"So hold your head high and be proud you managed to survive a high level assassin despite being a junior swordsman" Vergil said as he puffed his chest

"yes Lady Eleanor please be confident I also belive you will more powerfull than that assassin" Eliza also joined in order to ease her mood

"puff.." Eleanor laughed 

"Thankyou both of you also you can call me Elie no need for any politeness" Eleanor said as she smiled genuinely, her smile truly very beautiful

"Okay Elie lets eat here you go.." said Eliza 

We resumed our eating as we talked and laughed, it would seem there bonds have become stronger and closer
