Gareth's POV

I observed the young master as he stood surrounded by a violet-colored aura. Shock and surprise filled me, for he had managed to unleash his aura in a matter of minutes, a feat that took even me a few days to achieve. According to my knowledge, the Baron took a whole day to accomplish what Vergil did so swiftly. Moreover, I had never seen an aura with such a unique color; it matched the hue of the young master's eyes, resembling a starlit sky with a depth that seemed almost enchanting.

"It would seem we need to step up the young master's training."

Vergil's POV

Immersed in my newfound power, I heard Gareth say, "Young master, try to absorb the aura back into your body to stop the aura release."

"Okay," I replied. I did as Gareth said, trying to absorb the prana back into my body, and all the aura disappeared.

"Good, young master. Now you have to master the release to be done in an instant," Gareth explained.

Acknowledging his advice, I was able to release the aura again in 1 minute. With practice, I gradually reduced the time to 10 seconds.

"Good, young master. Now I believe you are ready for the next step," Gareth said, his voice trembling slightly.

"The next skill I will teach you is Aura Imbuement," Gareth said. He took out his sword from its sheath and released his aura. This time, the aura wrapped around the sword, giving it a golden hue. Waving his sword, it left a trail of golden dust in the air.

"You use aura to resonate with the sword, enhancing its properties such as sharpness and durability, and also..." Gareth paused, thrusting his sword forward to project a beam of golden light that pierced through a nearby mannequin.

"Release prana from your weapon. This is called Aura Projection. You project your aura from your sword over a longer distance. Mastery of both these skills is a basic requirement for advanced combat," Gareth explained, showcasing the techniques.

I was amazed at the diversity of aura. Initially, I thought aura was just a close combat means to attack, but it seemed I was wrong, as it could also be utilized over a greater distance.

"Now, young master, you give it a try," Gareth said.

Unsheathing my sword for the first time, I released my aura. As it began to flow out, I focused my prana into the sword. At first, nothing happened, but gradually, it began to resonate with my sword. I was pleased with my success, but only for a moment, as the sword suddenly fell from my grasp, and the aura retracted back, giving my hand quite a shock.

"What just happened?" I inquired, looking at Gareth.

"Young master, it was your first time, so that is to be expected. You have to slowly find your rhythm with the sword so that it connects with you through your prana. You were almost there, but you suddenly lost concentration for a moment, and the rhythm was broken," Gareth explained as he observed me.

"Okay, I'll give it another try," I said, after carefully listening to Gareth.

Taking a deep breath, I picked up the sword and tried again. This time, I was fully concentrated as I released my aura and began focusing on Umbra. Slowly, the aura began resonating with Umbra, and after a minute or so, my aura completely enveloped Umbra. I could feel the connection with the sword as I moved it. It left a purple star trail in its path. The black sword with the violet aura imbued gave it a graceful yet deadly look. The sword didn't feel as heavy as before, and it felt sharper than usual. There was also something else...

But then again, my rhythm broke, and the aura disconnected from Umbra. This time, however, I held the sword firmly.

"You have to try to keep your focus at all times and practice this skill so that it becomes instinctive for you. So that in times of battle, you would not have to constantly think about it," Gareth said, sharing his experience.

I nodded, then began my training. As I kept imbuing Umbra with my aura, I repeated the process until I began to get the hang of it. During the training, Gareth also taught me basic sword skills. As the hours passed, I kept practicing these skills repeatedly.

'Only a solid base can hold the towering building,' I kept repeating the basics.

Third POV

Gareth kept watching me, amazed by Vergil's tenacity as he kept repeating the basic moves. He marveled at Vergil's tenacity and willpower. Before today, he had heard the knights talk about the young master's training schedule, how he would keep exercising until his body collapsed.

"It would seem the rumors were not baseless," Gareth muttered.

"Young master, you can stop now," Gareth said.

"Huff, huff... No, I can still persevere," Vergil said, determined to engrave these skills in his bones.

"I know, young master, you can do it, but for now, you need to take a rest. Your prana will eventually run out, and it takes time to have it back to full. Plus, I believe it's enough for today," Gareth tried to persuade Vergil, as it was already 9, and he had been training for over 2 hours.

Vergil frowned as he felt his prana being half of its original.

"Okay, I will stop now," Vergil said, albeit reluctantly.

Sheathing his sword, Vergil wiped his sweat with the towel that May brought.

"Young Master, it is also time for breakfast. Madam and Lord must be waiting," May said gently.

"I get it, okay. I will stop for today," Vergil said to prevent May from giving another lecture.

"Young Master, I will take my leave now," Gareth said as he saluted.

"Thanks for today, Sir Gareth. I already have kept you long enough," Vergil said gratefully.

"It was my honor to teach you, young master. We will meet tomorrow at the same time here to resume our training," Gareth said respectfully before he took his leave.

I watched as Gareth went away and slowly started mana flow to ease my fatigue, I would like to experiment the same with prana but not now

"Let's go, May, it's time for a bath... I already stink," Vergil said, feeling his clothes full of sweat.

"Hehe... Young master, who told you to train so hard?" May said, giggling at me.

I rolled my eyes at her as I made my way to take a shower

As we made our way to the My room I reminded May
