As our sensei promised us, we spent the next day completing D-rank missions and following them with joint training. And if we didn't have any special problems with the first one, the D-rank missions were essentially ordinary assignments of more or less well-off residents of the land of fire. That they were not at all against dumping their problems on the strong hands of novice Shinobi. So, at the beginning of the day we had to work as movers, loading the goods of a whole trade caravan for several hours…
Not an easy task, especially for ordinary people, but for me personally, a few hours of work did not become a problem. Using the chakra to strengthen myself and relieve fatigue from the muscles that were tired at the end of the mission, I could have loaded a whole caravan alone, even if it took a little more time than our three… The teacher did not do such work, but, remarkably, he did not ask for his share for the work we did. Which personally suited me completely…
Extra money will definitely not hurt me now, even if we have earned almost a quarter of my monthly income of the past few years from this mission alone… Shinobi earn well, even if it is difficult for me to perceive myself as a full-fledged Shinobi yet. Genins may be the most common class among this fraternity, but until I personally complete at least a couple of C-rank missions… I won't be able to consider myself anything more than a simple handyman with super abilities.
But this is already the case – my minor hiccups. The main thing is that now I will have enough money to live on. Almost daily fulfillment of missions, which Sensei has already managed to "scare" us, will allow me to earn some good money. And where there is money, there is new equipment, consumables and equipment… Which, although it will have to save up a lot, still Shinobi not only earn well, but they also have to spend a lot, but these are trifles.
Moreover, the main pole of my Shinobi existence was the training organized by our teacher… Which he really began to approach very, very seriously. He drove us, as they say, both in the tail and in the mane. And if my teammates were not very educated, almost three hours of training, during which the teacher forced us to work out teamwork and our individual skills, arranging all sorts of tests for us and forcing us to face him in battle from time to time.
From the outside, it all seemed like some kind of Shinobi game, in which three genins played all sorts of roles, then playing hide-and-seek with their own mentor, then running away from that after detection, then trying to "kill" the long-suffering trio of makivars, which was furiously guarded by our mentor… To some extent, it was even fun, but in practice it was all one big training and "rehearsal" of the most common situations in the work of Shinobi.
Well, we also regularly got nuts, both physically and mentally. And if the teacher tried not to harm us physically, only in my attitude being a little more rude and serious… Then, morally, after an hour of intensive training, we all had a swollen head from the monotonous lectures of sensei, who repeatedly found more and more mistakes in our tactics and attempts to fool him…
Well, but the team relationship between our three grew stronger even somehow too quickly. The same Inuzuka, after the first hour of such an unusual workout, was ready to put up with my company… At the end of this stage of training, she finally came to terms with what was happening, starting to treat me as her partner, which was very helpful. In our trinity, it was me and the dog lady who most often acted as a kind of avant-garde, in direct combat facing the teacher…
In general, yes, Natsubashi-sensei proved the effectiveness and efficiency of his teaching methods on the first day of our classes with him. And in general, it left me with a clear feeling that it is not the first time to teach someone that. There was a considerable experience of teaching others behind his actions and words… Well, or the man just turned out to be a teacher, as they say, from God. I won't say for sure, but I certainly liked what was happening.
Besides, the team training was by no means the only pleasant surprise that day. After completing this part of the training program, the teacher let us go to all four sides ... thereby giving us a few hours for lunch and personal affairs. So, I even managed to drop by the academy, visiting Aikawa-sensei and showing him some success in the field of mastering fuin. Nothing particularly serious, but the director was able to evaluate my progress anyway… After that, I had to return to the training ground entrusted to our team.
The evening training from Natsubashi-sensei did not take long to wait, well, Sensei himself approached it even more thoroughly than our afternoon classes ... So, on the very first day, he began to teach us the "mandatory minimum of techniques and skills" that every genin should master. And even though officially nothing like this has ever existed, but as Sensei himself explained to us, without mastering some skills, genins cannot even be considered full-fledged Shinobi by many. So, lubricant for kunai…
Very offensive words for some of our trio, but the training that began immediately after this small lecture somewhat smoothed out Sensei's very rude words… And yes, the first thing he started teaching us was to walk on vertical surfaces. Starting immediately with practice, but not forgetting at the same time, to read to us the already familiar, rather monotonous notations and instructions, thereby explaining what and how exactly to do in order to learn to walk on the same trees…
And here's a joke, but the monotonous and "faceless" voice of the teacher was firmly ingrained in my memory, completely ignoring the fact that I was kind of a little busy, and in general I listen to the teacher as if through a veil of my own concentration… Although, this situation did not last long. My control over the chakra, as practice has shown, was slightly higher than that of my teammates. Even Yamanaka, with his short chakra reserves and good control, did not immediately figure out exactly what to do in order not to break off from the vertical surface in the first seconds after gluing…
Yeah, it didn't take me an hour to learn how to walk steadily and quite confidently in trees. Sending the chakra to the feet, of course, was quite difficult, they were anatomically located furthest from the center of the chakra. And it was also problematic to distribute the chakra throughout the body so as to neutralize the force of gravity, but nothing supernatural. Against the background of my attempts to power fuin, such manipulations with the chakra looked like just childish babble…
What our teacher was very happy about, not forgetting to praise me for my success, at the same time stimulating my partners to work harder… Well, he definitely already has experience in teaching. His actions were too literate and concise. Which, by the way, doesn't tell me anything in particular… Except that I'm a little glad that Hiruzen didn't send the same Kakashi to teach me. It feels like our Hokage is concerned about training his trusty weapon…
- If you don't have any questions, you can be free. - The teacher calmly addressed me, after I ran a little more through the trees, getting used to new opportunities… And thereby encourage other team members to try harder. Although, it didn't help Akita too much. Against the background of Yamanako and me, she had outright troubles with chakra control… Which frankly infuriated and provoked the girls. Moreover, Izumi was showing more and more distinct results.
- Um, sensei ... - I turned to the man a little uncertainly, attracting his attention. Which made me even more uncomfortable, but I still had to voice my request. Even if today is the first day of our joint training, Natsubashi-sensei has already shown his interest in our training. So, he could also share the shadow cloning technique with me. That's why I didn't delay with my request to teach her to me... - Could you teach me the technique of shadow cloning? I think it could greatly diversify my arsenal. - Still overpowering myself, I asked, not forgetting to bow my head at the same time… Which came out even somehow by itself ... I've been used to local traditions for a long time.
But Sensei's silence began to strain me too quickly… So I also felt Sensei's attentive gaze, in some inexplicable way, too clearly on my figure… Which was unnerving and stressful. And my teammates, for sure, were also looking in my direction right now…
