The Renevant

When he thought that everything was over, when he believed that it was finally the end of everything, it presented himself... Ender Rialto was known as one of the weakest Humanycs, a new race of humans, to ever exist, with the only manipulation of his own eyes, in contrast to all societies that could manipulate elements such as fire and water. He lived his entire life thinking of ways to get stronger, but one day he decided to end it all. It was that day, that an opportunity appeared. A chance to teach the world what his true values were, and how he was here to change the old rotten ones. He would show them all, what he was capable of. -------------------- Taking back this story, school stressed me out but I'm back for more, expect daily releases if I'm able to keep up with it.

One month later

An entire month went by, just like that.

Ender acted as if nothing happened last month while continuously grinding the System's tasks. And, as he expected, it didn't take over a day for Derreck's situation to go viral.

The news was exploding as Derreck came from an influential family and his current vegetative status came as a shock to everybody. Not to mention the fact that his Element lost its grade.

The investigation took place and didn't conclude until two weeks after when they couldn't find any possible suspect. They labeled it as an Illusion Humanyc terrorist attack even if people didn't feel like it was.

Sadly, Ender didn't go unnoticed. People pointed fingers at him one week later explaining how he got into a fight with him that exact day in school. Derreck's family also said that he won't stop mumbling things about Ender and suddenly left the house.

1 week after Derreck's incident...

The police interrogated Ender about that exact day. Ender kept saying that he was too weak to fight him and he purposely used Powerfuels on their first fight. They believed it after checking Ender's health record and his ability.

They tried to get some proof of Ender's position the moment Derreck got attacked, but he simply said that he was suffering from a severe anxiety attack and couldn't even leave his room.

Even if they knew it was true, they still needed some sort of proof.

Just as he wanted to invent some excuse somebody barged through the door. A tall, raven-haired female. She was wearing a BB uniform which scared the living shit out of Ender. Was he discovered? Did he seriously fucked up already?

The woman sit right next to Ender and winked at him before saying,

"I'm here on behalf of Daniel Xanadier. You may stop interrogating the kid, he will take the matter into his own hands."

"Wasn't Prime Commander Xanadier retired? He holds no power over this situation." The officer said with confidence while tapping his finger on the table.

"He doesn't, but I do." The woman showed an ID that made the officer's face pale and quickly dismissed Ender and the woman.

While Ender was sweating buckets, the woman took him to her car and drove to the outskirts without mentioning a word. She stopped at a house near the forest and ordered Ender to wait in front of the house's door until she parks.

He waited for five minutes before the woman appeared and bashed open the entrance door while shouting, "DAN!! You owe me a good one!"

"Well, I guess we are even now!"

Ender couldn't believe his eyes. At his right, there was a commander uniform from the BB stored inside a glass cage. There were even medals and a weapon mold! He read carefully all of the medals which were war-based.

'I knew he worked there... but a Prime Commander?!' He thought while touching the glass cage.

He looked over the house and found several instances of BB's items as well as two cats lying on an expensive-looking sofa. He watched every single detail in awe before returning with the woman, who climbed the stairs long ago.

There was she standing along with Mr. Dan.

"Oh, hey there Ender. Wait downstairs until we've finished talking could you?" He said with a charming smile. Even for his age, Mr. Dan was still conserving himself well.

He did as ordered, and waited until both of them came down and explained everything.

"Meet Sakura, one of my most loyal friends inside the BB. We worked together for a long time and can trust her as my own sister... even if she doesn't like so."

"Whatever old man," She stared at Ender right in the eye and said, "I saved you from the worst kid, hope you stay more unnoticed this time."

Ender knew what they were meaning and asked, "You know about my Element?"

Sakura quickly replied, "Yes, Illusion is a feared manipulation as it caused the most destruction over time. It can even turn the tide of war in just one moment. Luckily, I'm strong enough to deal with them so I'm not that intimidated by it."

"Illusion is one of the strongest Elements out there," Mr. Dan intervened, "I've seen entire kingdoms brought to their knees by a single Humanyc... I hope you don't turn like that."

["Hah! They think is an Illusion, how naive. If only they knew..."] Ren laughed.

"I know, I won't! But... how did I even gain it..." Ender played the fool, acting oblivious to his manipulation, "I had some shitty eye's thing... M-Mr. Dan, you know I'm not an Illusion manipulator, so why?"

"There are several theories but nothing is confirmed. What I can confirm is that you aren't the only case. Take for example... uhm... Silverhand. He had a Rock Manipulation yet at seventeen he gained a Wind Manipulation.

He used it to create the most dangerous tornado ever known to mankind. No one knows why he got another element even after decades of research." Sakura explained.

She continued to explain other examples and Ender noticed one common factor, multiple Elements were extremely powerful.

"Trust me, the earlier the BB knows about your ability the worse it will be. They won't straight away kill you or anything like that, but they will keep an eye on you." Sakura said.

They continued chatting about the situation when Mr. Dan said,

"Anyways, from now on she will be in charge of your training. Sakura is the most competent officer inside the BB to this day and has gained five years off. The mission he completed was exceptional that's for sure."

"What has she done?" Ender asked with curiosity.

"Seal a black hole." Sakura casually revealed,

"We will train from Monday to Thursday, five to eight after school. I will give you a VIP pass to the training facility and you will go directly to my room, try not to talk to anyone."

Ender recovered from the shock and nodded diligently. Sakura then stood up and exited the house. Mr. Dan sighed and said,

"Don't be scared of her... she just had a bad childhood. Once you get to know each other, I'm pretty sure that you will become friends." He stood up while grabbing a glass of water.

Ender on the other hand stared at her from the kitchen window. The moment he heard the words 'bad childhood' something inside of him clicked, and he didn't hesitate to express his emotions to Mr. Dan.

"She gained another element, right? She started just like me, from nothing to... a chance." He said while leaning over the table while looking at Mr. Dan, who just smiled.

"C'mon, she is waiting for you already."

Present day...

"Fucking hell... your training is too much for me!" Ender complained while clutching his legs. His breath felt raspy as every atom of oxygen felt like a sharp blade to his throat.

"I'm doing this so you don't end up on the bad side." Sakura said while stretching her arms, "You manage to get faster and faster every day... I don't know how you are doing it, but I hope that one day you can explain it."

Ender sighed while getting up. His entire body felt as if it went through a meat grinder multiple times, after all, Sakura was a million times stronger than he was.

Sakura's training plan was based on continuous sparring. Ender would fight her and Sakura would correct him whenever he made a mistake. This also overlapped with Ren's training which was the definition of hell.

While she would give Ender a chance to take control, Ren would go all out not caring about him at all. This made him adopt a very tiny part of their fighting styles.

Sakura was unpredictable, she tried to use her movement as efficiently as she could trying to disorient her opponent via excessive movement or mere decoys. When watched from afar, her movements would seem like a choreography.

She would aim for unguarded spots, trying to first destroy her opponent's stance to land the killing blow in one shot. Ender tasted some of these occasionally.

Ren, on the other hand, was a brute fighter. He would go head-on without thinking of his disadvantages. His fighting style was based on the ability to overpower his opponent via destructive blows and fast movement.

While Sakura disorients people with decoys, Ren does so by stunning.

Training with such different people at the same time made Ender's style mixed. He would try to continuously try to make an opening via powerful blows and at the same time try to confuse his opponent with extra movements.

Sakura noticed this and said, "Listen closely Ender, either go for power or unpredictability, but never both. Trying so leaves you too open inside a fight and it becomes way easier for your opponent."

"I just feel like I can't find my own style." Ender said with a low voice.

"Is that so?"

Sakura stopped the training right away and began educating Ender on the different types of styles.

She went over several of them but one caught his attention,

"On the other hand, we have what I call, the Hit and Flee, also known as the Assassin style. Hard to counter if done perfectly.

The most known Humanyc that made use of this style was known as Ambush, a Lighting Manipulator. His way of working was simple. Go straight for the kill and leave, even if you only got one person. If you can combine it with a speed boost even better.

He managed to destroy an entire platoon of 23 members in a single strike. Nevertheless, he perfected this style after 50 years of arduous training. Not every style comes naturally Ender, you will sweat blood trying to master yours."

Ender nodded in relief, feeling less like shit. He checked the clock and noticed that it was eight o'clock already, so he called it a day and left the room.

The training facility was a vast space with a lot of variety. There was public space where most people trained and private spaces, also known as VIP, where rich kids could test their abilities against stronger people and gain insight.

Hell, Ender even saw some of his classmates' training as well, who gave him a confused look as to why he was there. Just as he was about to exit the facility, he saw a hologram that caught his attention. When he read it he couldn't help but widen his eyes.

[VIP Only Monthly Tournament! Date: 30th October! Rewards for the winner: 10,000 Earthies + Bets!]

Ender only focused on those parts while checking today's date...

[22nd October 2586]

'That's next Thursday.'

... and began running back towards Sakura's room with a copy of the hologram inside his bracelet.

He bashed through the door and tried to find Sakura. He couldn't find her inside the training zone so he quickly went towards the changing rooms.

"Hey, Sa... kura...." His enthusiasm disappeared the moment he found a beautiful pale woman changing clothes. She already changed trousers so she was only wearing a bra. Luckily it was a sports bra which didn't reveal much.

Sakura just stood there looking at Ender, who had his head tilted to the side, while putting a new shirt back in, "How about knocking next time?"

"S-Sorry..." Ender's face turned red while Ren started laughing like a maniac. His face turned even redder after this.

"Anyways, what do want... you were excited five seconds ago."

"Oh right!" His embarrassment quickly went by as he showed the hologram, "There is a tournament at the end of the month... I need to attend. I may be able to get enough money to finally leave my house."
