DISSIPATED FOG

They had nothing together, they shared nothing at all. She has not even spoken with him before. The fruit she was munching suffered as she grind it thoroughly with all her strength, she picked a fruit with her fork dipping it in her mouth full of grinded fruit. Her thoughts were on a rampage, and she took it out on the food she was consuming.

"Hm hmm". Ramiel cleared his throat, attracting her attention, like he wanted. " Go easy on the food, it not running away you know," He said humorously, smiling at her. She nodded her head in response, to prevent her from spilling her "fruit juice" out of her mouth. She glanced at the laid-out food that the maids spread on the table. The rest of her appetite immediately vanished as she eyed the mouth-watering, soul-calling foods. She stabbed another fruit, this time a watermelon.

"How was she supposed to leave this... this world? And she used to think she had a solution, that was when she still had Zamiel. She felt as though she had a plan in her head, and there was nothing to worry about. But now that he was gone, her eyes got cleared it was as if she got electrocuted - that feeling when you get electrocuted by an exposed wire. His departure was like a fog, it blinded her when he was around, and when he wasn't, it dissipated allowing her to gain access to her brain. She glanced at Ramiel's serious face, he still had the same expression as Zamiel and he seemed to be concentrating on his food.

" I'm full". She announced, her eyes refusing to leave Ramiel's face. Her unwavering gaze watched him return to their world.

"Are you sure?" He retorted, with a slightly raised brow. His blue eyes eyed the food in front of her - several plates laid in front of her waiting to be emptied. "You haven't even touched your food" He added, peeling his gaze from the food to spare her a glance.

"I lost my appetite". She reasoned, smiling awkwardly to bail herself out of this tricky situation.

" If you say so. " His eyes finally left her, as he returned to clearing his food off his plates.

" hm," she cleared her throat, leaving the table to him. She dabbed her mouth with the napkin, before standing up from her seat to leave the table. She took her steps lightly, clutching her gown tightly. She could feel his eyes on her, watching her behind like a hawk.

"I'll ask the maids to bring you some medicine to help you recover" His voice echoed. She halted sinking in his words for a few seconds before leaving for her room. She stole a glance at him before she left the dining room - he seemed to be less concerned about her, he concentrated more on consuming his food.

"How in the world is she going to get home? The other time she felt as if she had a way out but she was just waiting for the perfect timing. When... When.....when was that? Ugh! She groaned out loud, pulling on her hair out of frustration. She slammed herself on the bouncy bed. " When? When was that" she mumbled, while staring at the ceiling. She clearly remembered something, that there was a way out. Her eyes stared into space, as she skimmed through her brain to figure out what she missed.

Knock knock!

Her thought went on full stop, snapping her out of her thoughts. Her Brown eyes went straight to the door. "Come in," she said, tidying her chaotic posture. Two maids walked elegantly each having a fancy tray in their hand.

"His Majesty will see you shortly" one of the pretty maids said, before they both bowed in unison in front of her, leaving her to utilise her privacy for the time being. Her hands clutched onto the bed sheets, with the information the maid provided her. Mira stood up from the bed to check on the herbal mixture they prepared for her. Two bowls of china each one in a tray, lidded with a plate. And sure enough, it contained a black liquid, but it had different smells.

She can't drink this. Her instincts declared as she stared at the black content with a glare. She can't trust anybody at this period. God know what it is made of, or what its main purpose was. The last time she relied on someone, she turned into a partially bedridden patient. She clearly remembered the other time she slept too much, and spent most of her day in slumber, her suspicion was on Zamiel. She doesn't often sleep that long, now that everything has been cleared she knows why she slept so much like a patient.

Her glare turned fiercer with the thought of Zamiel being the cause of her excess sleeping.

"Amira?" His voice reverberated in her head, making her heart skip a beat. "Yes?" She responded, switching her gaze to him.

"I wanted you to walk with me. But it seems you are busy" He said, landing his gaze on the bowl.

"No. I'll come with you". She answered quickly, starting towards him with a smile." shall we?" She said, with glee. His eyes went for the bowl once again "Yes" He replied. She walked out of the room with Ramiel to take a tour around the castle. The last time, she didn't get to do any of that thanks to someone. Taking a tour around the place might help her. Help her like maybe find a clue.

"Feels good to be back?" She heard him say.

"Not really." She replied honestly, shrugging

her shoulder nonchalantly. "I didn't spend much time here. So that feeling of nostalgia is not really there" she explained.

"I understand" He nodded in response. "I just want you to feel free with me and feel at home" He added with his thick husky voice. She nodded in silence like a baby, biting on her lower lips.

"We should do this often." He suggested, his voice having a hint of glee in it which she didn't fail to notice. Her fake smile twitched as she glanced at his delighted expression, he was in a good mood that was certain. Why wouldn't he be, his lost wife was back with him?

"I've seen you before, haven't I?" She investigated, her smooth seductive voice turned fierce. Her smile deserted her face, transforming her smily face into a strict and harsh one.

"Yes, you have. That was before the wedding" he replied with a slight chuckle.

"No, not that. I mean when I was kidnapped in the woods. You were there, you came to meet me didn't you?" She explained, trying to prevent him from stopping this conversation.

"Yes, I did meet you." He admitted with a smile "How did you know that?" He asked with a tinge of curiosity.

"I remembered the other time, when Zami..Zamiel was flirting with me in the woods. He was not the type who uses words much and at that time we had nothing going on" She explained, her mouth running like water passing through pipe. She didn't know why she explained to him but it just felt right. She was such a naive little girl who would embrace the emotion of feeling free around people and running loose like an escaped pet dog. She bit her upper lip, cautioning herself to restrain herself.

"Hm." He affirmed. "I couldn't help it but to show up. I was restless, and my restlessness almost cost us our plan to rescue you." He explained, sounding a bit pathetic and sullen. That wasn't gonna work on her.

"I understand" she retorted, sounding empathetic towards him.

As if. Who would fall for that story? . He had his chance to take her away but he didn't. If he was restless, he would have taken away. Her wouldn't have exposed Zamiel's true colour for fear he might hurt me. And Instead, he would deal with Zamiel secretly, while I remain... Unaware about.... The truth?. Oh my God, that's bad. She thought within her. Her eyes dilated in horror as she tried to digest what just happened in her head.

"That should be in the past" Her dilated eyes undilate themselves with his thick voice yanking her out of her thought. She forced a smile, on her pretty face to hide her dirty thoughts away from her face.

"But, What about them? What happened to the kidnappers" she asked, trying her best not to souund too curious or maybe caring.

" They are where they deserve to be. " He replied.

She stared at him in horror, as he expresses his satisfaction. No wonder he was happy. Her eyes watched his face in silence. This stroll felt horrible and less comforting but quite fruitful. The more they walked, taking a tour around the castle, the more they dived into the conversation, asking him different type of questions. He gives an answer to every question, those he doesn't want to answer he gives a short reply.

He escorted her back to her chamber. Their stroll was over and she needed some rest.

They stopped in front of her chamber, smiling at each other. "Go get some rest, you'll need it for tomorrow. " He said, reaching for her fragile hand and placing a kiss on it.

"I love you" He whispered
