How dare you!? Are you still trying to deceive me? (Part 2)

The maid stared at her mistress with restlessness, she had this nagging feeling something wasn't right with Little Miss 'I really hope someone rushed back and see what's really wrong with her'

Then she cautiously said " Little Miss, if you have nothing for me to do, then I'll take my leave "

"Alright!" came a sort reply

The maid paused a little at the door "I'm really not what you think" said in low voice " I'm just a lowly maid who, fortunately enter the sect a chance to turn my life for better Little Miss, I'm really wasn't whom you think " the last part come as a whisper.

" Miss I have a little brother to taken care.... he has no one but me.... " her emotional voice trailed off then she quickly left the room.

Megha tilted her head not clearly understanding what she was talking about, she want to make a deal what does that have anything to do with her brother's li- ..... could it be her thoughts come to an abrupt stop.

'Was she speaking in code...?' her mind churned but she couldn't understand anything no matter what 'She must be speaking in riddles because her actions were under the surveillance... but I didn't understand what she implying' her mood turned to little gloomy.

She clearly notice that her body was slowly started to healing a good part of her attention was in the recovery of her health, she checking her breathing pattern and pulse and condition of her stomach, internal organs and meridians 'Hmm! why couldn't I felt any of my internal energy in my body' she suddenly panicked.

Panicked the word didn't cover her current emotions, an intense anxiety started burning in the pit of her stomach ' Was that internal breath abolishing elixir, where did they get it?' she couldn't quite believe it they used some long forgotten elixir in the distance past to abolish her martial arts.

But the thing is the more she tried to understand the situation more absurd the things become ' Wait a minute- I can't even locate my energy Center' "This? is it really energy abolishing elixir or some other thing at play?"

What shocked her more was her body condition even her energy center damaged her martial arts abolished her strength should return to peak of 9th stage martial artist but she couldn't sense any refined vital blood in her body 'It's like I became a rookie practitioner once again!'

Her eyes reddened and tears welling up and she struggled to control her tears. She really became useless even at her peak of power she was hunted down like a stray dog at least she has some means to protect herself this calm down her lot and let her eat and sleep one of her biggest hope in getting out of this mess and getting revenge one day now what was she going to do.

She gritted her teeth in helplessness even the thought of ending her life flash past in her mind, but she refrained from stop thinking in those dangerous way of thinking.

'No matter what I wouldn't let you traitors bas***** get what you wanted ' she took out a small sharp pin from her dress and poked various part of her tongue her mouth soon tasted metallic and salty her brow twitched In confusion.

She looked at her hands and the dress in the body and checking in some other way 'I can be sure what I eat was lesser healing pill and not anyother elixir.... I could have noticed if my internal energy being abolished when I am awake my sensitiveness and control over to internal energy was pretty good so they could have done this while I was unconscious'

'Or I was still under the effect of the hallucination drug hmm! now that I think that it was kind of messed up my mind to think it make me think I gotten thinner and shorter in this short time ' she scowled as she tried rationalize her thoughts 'The only way I think it makes it possible was I became old hag so my bones got smaller but seeing my skin is pretty fair and wrinkles free it's unlikely the case so? '

She felt little sleepy and tired with all the thinking ' I felt so tired, I should sleep a little it's necessary for me stay sharp' she thought to herself when the sleep going to catch up with her a soft whisper echoed in her mind as she was forgetting something serious.

Her eyelids fluttered open once again 'what was she thinking in a time like this is it really matter ' she sluggishly thoughtto herself 'Just what good would happen if I keep thinking this.... she probably trying to mess with me- yes! that's possible '

Her face twisted in ugly manner ' To be honest I was just trying everything I can in my power to escape this place I guess she could she through my situation' she gritted her teeth 'Could she offer to offend this powerful faction in the shadow just because some petty deal I could give offer' she snorted 'She probably thought I was a clown '

Despite logically reason with everything Megha still couldn't ignore the low voice of the maid she find it sincere and heartfelt although she couldn't understand why she said this she felt herself once again felt a seed of hope that firmly planted in her mind take a root firmly in her mind.

'Why did she say that to me?' despite not anything add up to that statement she still try to decode that seemingly simple sentence They say human mind was very scary It can simply think up a simple shadow as a devil or even God.

If a human imagination pushed to a limit nothing he can't come up with her situation exactly like that due to her special circumstances she can't understand a simple pleading from the maid and cooked up her own theories from it, which has many flaws that didn't add up with her conclusions.

She looked like she has been enlightened her face was very bright her expression was touched there was even some tears in her eyes 'I didn't think there are still peoples whom loyal to my father and me, I wouldn't forget her kindness' she thought to herself as she tried to get her slight sobbing under control.

'Thank God I didn't attack her out of impulse and hatred or else...' she refused think the consequences of hurting a innocent, loyal maid whom she mistakenly thought as a powerful expert was risking not only her life but also her little brother life on the line just so they could give her chance to escape from this place and secretly feed her a healing pill.

As for how she was going to escape the place was very simple, the loyal maid left the windows open and she was likely drugged the guards who was guarding her just so she could escape from here.

' I should get going, sure it was little hard to escape with my current body condition additional to the drug effect but I know the place well enough to pick a safest root possible' she stood up staggeringly slowly walked up towards the open window take one last look at the room and the things she was familiar with ' It was already dusk why don't I try my luck in scripture pavlian hmm. If I get my hands on blue moon waning art' there was a burning desire in the depth of her eyes.

'If I get my hands on it I can really avenge my father and uncle, aunt... No! what was I thinking that girl risked her life to give me a chance if I got caught all of this will be in vain.... but I probably never get such a chance I'll first look at the pavilion security before I decide anything ' she reason with herself.

She prayed one last time for the maid girl and her little brother before stealthily looked outside the window she flinched and panicked when the door opened forcefully 'What the- I don't even hear any footsteps what are they ghosts?' she instinctively turned around to look then she was so shocked to continue with her escape plan.

"Megha! you are really awake?" that pretty girl with blonde hair returned looking at her with relief and joy "I'm really relieved.... you should have brought me with you" she mumbled the last part.

Megha on the other hand thunder struck as she registered the figure in her distant memory the smile and pretty face In her memory overlapping with the smile of the teenage girl in front of her but both had very different emotions to it 'Vanni!?'

The distant memory of her friend dying in her lap with similar relieved smile "Thank God you are okay.... haha I'm relieved you don't seem fataly injured"

Megha with bloody forehead looking at her friend while searching something in her pouch "Don't worry, you will be fine.... I'll make sure you are fine, for now stop distracting me few minutes will you? " her hands were shaking and she panted lightly "Damn it, where did I put them" she muttered under her breath.

" I never saw this coming Hehehe! " Vanni said smilingly her face turned "urrgh" *cough* *cough* blood sprayed out from her mouth her face became pale and pained.

Megha become worried and furious she shoved a fragrant pale green pill into her tightly clenched mouth she ignored the pained gasps of her friend "What the hell do you think you are doing" Megha gritted her teeth  " Didn't I told you not to speak in the first place so shut your mouth or I will sue it myself" she ruthlessly threatened her friend but her friend grinned at her with bloodied teeth.

"Preserve your energy first okay, you will get up in no time " Megha said to her friend she couldn't look into her friend's eyes and continue her lies as a person learned medicine for more than six years she was well aware of Vanni's current condition.

Even any normal person can tell she wouldn't live past few hours if she wasn't given some serious treatments, Megha couldn't find the treasure medicine in her pouch for searching it  all this time, it was said to be a life saving elixir, that could bring person from the death.

Though she wasn't believeed in such an exaggerated beliefs she read and know enough about the medicine and it's efficiency unless the person heart and brain didn't suffer  any serious damage it can help people recover from any injury it's not some immortal  elixir but nonetheless top level medicine in blazing continent.

First and foremost It was her fault they were being hunted down, it's also her fault Vanni being injured in the first place and it's once again her own damn fault she forgot make sure she put the treasure medicine in her pouch before escaping the sect entrapment and her only friend/sister going to leave her just like her mother and father.

She never experience the loved ones dying infront of her eyes it was somehow make her vulnerable and made her afraid of the future, the only person she can rely on also going to leave her made her heart ache.

"You don't bring that thing with us don't you?" Vanni asked curiously.

Megha's hands froze in her pouch she stiffenly turned to face her friend, Vanni's gaze was calm and playful there wasn't even trace of anger or accusations  only then Megha exhaled the breath she subconsciously holding her body started tremble tears streaming down on her pale face and sobbed noiselessly her face full of guilt and helplessness.

She tried to speak many times and want to apologize but all she can manage was unintelligible words admist of sobbing sounds Vanni looked at sobbing friend helplessly there was an worry and guilt in the depth of her pale blue eyes.

She reached out with trembling hands and awkwardly patted Megha in the shoulder comfortingly "I'm not blaming you or anything why are you crying like this huh,  you made me even more embarrassed  if you continued like this" 

Megha try her best to stiffle her sobbing "I'm rea-really s-sowwy....wuwuu, I don't put it in my bag *hic* I'm being a terrible friend to you"

Vanni pretended not hearing this rant slowly said " I always thought of going to adventure someday never thought encounter opportunity like this and sharing that encounter with our Pompose Little Miss like today" she joked lightly.

Megha's face twisted with more guilt "P-please don't try to make me feel better....I..."

"It's awful isn't it? " Vanni smiled encouragingly "Trust me I'm really not blaming you here OK.  Sigh! until yesterday you don't even know how to look for your own dress in the cupboard all things done by maids I don't expect you suddenly turned into responsible one"Vaani became little out of breath.

Megha face flushed she know she was literally pampered like princess everything done for her but she wasn't that helpless like Vanni claiming to be her heart aches she felt even more guiltily and angry she scolded "You shouldn't have do this, if you just stay put that spear attack could have killed me." she huffed her face was flushed in red.

" You could have escaped and lived well even, *sob* ... It's already obvious isn't they were coming for me, I don't want to lose you either" she grievously said wiping the tears with her back hands. 

A sharp tap in her head "ouch!" she confusedly turned to she her friend's pale but angry face her heart skipped as she literally flinched from the look.  Vanni said in low voice "Don't be stupid, it's true I could have stayed still watch you get killed then? I did this out of my own will, I still step in for another thousands of times if I have to I simply can't let you die like that you are too precious to me " her face flushed little at the end.

Her tone turned stern quickly " And you might be wrong about your assumptions of that peoples.... I think that attack was more of an accident than real killing strike they didn't want kill you but capture you alive "

Megha looked at her friend with wide eyes not understanding why she staying stuff like that out of blue she repeated after her friend subconsciously "What?... an accident, they want to capture me?"

Vanni grimly nodded her head at this "while you running away Carrying me I noticed something peculiar" she paused as if to pictureing the memory "They were stunned by the sudden turn of events then became angry that old thing on purple robe cleave the spear man into two for that attack" she coughed little then solemnly said " I think they are after something even though they don't have a indent to kill you better not get caught in their hands they gave me a bad feeling"

Her tone turned little mocking "In a day or two uncle will come back, he was the one told me about the hidden cave here so wait for him little more will you? at least that way I know someone taking care of you " she smiled provokingly.

"Megha, MEGHA! Hey what's wrong?" a urgent voice awake her from her daze, Megha trembled little "Vanni it's you.....hahaha it's really you- I missed you" she reached out to her friend strong feeling of melancholy struck her heart the jade slip in her chest buzzed with light glow bring her emotions under control.

Megha subconsciously reached out and touch the jade slip her shocked mind kick started her warm face turned extremely cold the longing eyes turned murderous as it looked at the figure in front of her.

Megha kicked off with powerful force closing off the gap between the two of them stunned in the air her kick now had a strange hazy thing wrapped I'm the tip of her shoe the blonde girl expressions turned from confusion to horror as she struggled to get away from the kick her arms had a dull hazy thing surrounded in that instant.

The kick brushed past her golden hair which cut off as they spatter around in the air Megha wasn't done yet as she lifted the another leg followed up with the kick to the stmoch which now guarded by Vanni's two hands.

A sound of metal clanging echoed in the room

Megha bounced off quickly made distance from the other party her eyes lingered on the other party's hands her eyes narrowed.

"What the- have you gone mad?" the girl had an alarmed look in her face, staring wide eyed at her friend and the falling golden locks.

"Do you think so? not yet at least for now" Megha coldly stated "But b**** how dare you? Do you think I'm easy to deceive. Today I'll screw off your ugly head " she bared her teeth.

"To use my friends memory and feelings against me I'll fight you to death today, you will regret this despicable decision latter."
