Chapter 10: His First Step As An Investor

Jayson was deep in thought in his hotel room, his mind focused on where to invest his money. He had set aside the issue with the Wilson family for the time being. Suddenly, a news story about a factory sale caught his attention. He quickly pulled out his phone and began to research the company.

As he delved deeper into his memories, Jayson's eyes began to glow with excitement. He remembered that the factory had once produced a popular juice that had become a household item. The owner had sold the factory and, within a year, the juice product had taken off, propelling the factory to become a multi-national company.

With this information in mind, Jayson closed his eyes and pondered for a moment, before his eyes lit up with inspiration. He had found the perfect investment opportunity.

Jayson exclaimed with joy, "I am rich! I am rich!" and rolled around on the bed with a wide grin. Jao looked at him in disbelief. After a moment, Jayson stood up and called someone on his phone, his hand behind his back.

"Hello, may I know who I am speaking with?" asked a voice on the other end of the line.

Jayson hesitated to give his name, recalling the embarrassment he felt at the underground boxing ring. "I am interested in purchasing your factory," he said instead. "My name is Ben Wells. Would you be available to meet tonight to complete the transaction?"

The person on the other end of the line sounded thrilled. "Absolutely, sir! Where would you like to meet? I am available."

Jayson struggled to recall any major hotels in the city. He berated himself for his past ignorance and felt regretful about his previous actions in his past life.

"I am not a native of Jade City; you should pick any top hotel, and I will make the reservation," Jayson attempted to sound as carefree as possible as he spoke on the phone. The person on the other end became even more enthusiastic upon realizing he was speaking with a wealthy individual.

After agreeing on a meeting location, Jayson hung up and let out a sigh of relief. He realized he needed to familiarize himself with the popular hotels in Jade City, as he had never bothered to do so in his previous life.

Jayson left the hotel with Jao for the meeting, feeling relieved that he didn't encounter any of the Wilson family members. Earlier, he had reserved a private room at the Sky Hotel. As he arrived, he was amazed by the towering structure, and couldn't help but compliment it. "The Sky Hotel truly lives up to its name and reputation," he thought to himself. He walked inside, eager to begin the meeting.

Jayson was taken aback when he unexpectedly bumped into one of Elena's cousins, named Brain, but to his surprise, Brain didn't recognize him. As Jayson walked past him, Brain's gaze locked onto Jayson's back, causing his partner to notice and react strangely.

"Brain, are you interested in men now?" his partner, Kate, asked. "You don't have to admire someone just because they're good-looking, especially not in front of me."

Brain was disgusted by the suggestion and quickly shook his head in denial. "Kate, that man who just passed by resembles Elena's thrash of a husband!" he explained.

Kate nodded in agreement, also suspicious. "Let's go check it out and make sure. I hope he hasn't scammed Elena again," Brain indignantly declared as he chased after Jayson.

Jayson had noticed Brain earlier, but he made a conscious decision to ignore him. As far as he was concerned, the entire Wilson family were a despicable bunch of people who were not worth his attention. As he was about to enter a private room, a loud shout suddenly echoed behind him.

"Hey, you! Stop right there, you thrashy Jay!"

Startled, Jayson halted and turned around to see Brain and Kate approaching him with angry expressions that suggested he had stolen something precious from them.

"Thrashy Jay, I demand that you return the money you stole from Elena. I cannot idly stand by and watch someone like you squander the hard-earned wealth of the Wilson family lineage," Brain exclaimed with fiery eyes.

Jayson simply shook his head and looked at Brain with a sense of pity.

Unfazed, Brain continued, "Feeling scared now, are you? It's too late for that. I'm going to contact Elena, and you must return every penny you took."

Jayson rolled his eyes and rebuked, "Brainless Brain, you should better make yourself scarce; I'm not interested in entertaining clowns like you."

Kate and Brian's demeanour quickly shifted from disappointment to anger, and they glared at Jayson with hostility. They demanded, "Who are you calling clowns, Jayson!?"

Jayson felt frustrated because he had an important meeting to attend and didn't want to be delayed by these two individuals. He knew that if the Wilson family found out about his plans to purchase a factory, they could obstruct his efforts just as they had with his job search. Fortunately, he noticed the hotel security team patrolling the area.

He gestured to the security team and requested their assistance, saying, "Excuse me, could you come over here?"

Brain and Kate were stunned by Jayson's composure and his ability to remain calm in their presence. They had always thought of him as an easy target in the Wilson family, but now they were proven wrong.

"Excuse me, could you please ask these buzzing flies to leave?" Jayson asked the security team, indicating Brain and Kate.

Brain and Kate were taken aback by Jayson's words. Did he just refer to them as "buzzing flies"?

Without hesitation, the captain of the security team responded, "Of course, sir. We will ensure that you have a pleasant stay at the Sky Hotel."

Jayson nodded and smiled before making his way into the private room he had reserved, leaving Brain and Kate bewildered and speechless.

Kate and Brain were still dazed when Jayson departed without a word.

"Excuse me, guests," the patrolling team captain said, "allow me to show you to your private room since you seem to have lost your way. May I know your room number?"

Brain couldn't believe what had just happened and let out a frustrated exclamation. "Fu*ck!" he thought, feeling like he was about to burst a blood vessel.
