In the assembly hall, the murmuring still continued. A quiet roar, whispers of anticipation and confusion amongst the Students Bearers.

Kohan and Lirael still engaged in their silent conversation, unsure of what to do about the fake Spheris sitting amongst the Students. Where was the actual Spheris? Why was Quade pretending to be him?

The unease was very palpable, but not long after, the heavy doors at the entrance of the hall yelled open, and an instant silence swept across the crowd.

Lord Daligarth had arrived.

Kohan narrowed his eyes at the man, remembering their exchange yesterday. While everyone else remained in silence caused by his reverence.

Daligarth stepped into the hall slowly, his footsteps echoed, commanding everyone's attention. It wasn't very often that the Student Bearers got to see the Lord of the Academy, so they were extremely pleased to be honored by his presence.
