Chapter Fifty One: The Dreamed Awakening
Kara was trapped within a deep slumber due to an ancient form of magic that she had no chance of resisting. Kara had been trapped within the Dream world for what felt like an eternity. Darkness surrounded her and it reminded her very much of the Abyss within which Gabriel was once trapped.
" Why am I here.." Kara mumbled to herself as she looked around but saw nothing but emptiness. " I don't belong in here. I have too much to do " Kara wandered through the darkness in hopes of finding someone or something that could get her out of this prison.
As she wandered, she noticed that the air within the world was thick and difficult to breathe in, a great weight was resting firmly on her chest. " I have to get out of here..I have to find a way. There is always a way.." Kara continued to repeat to herself and she continued trying to find an exit.
What felt like several days passed by, before Kara finally heard a familiar voice in the darkness. " You know why you are here" Gabriel called out from the darkness.
" No..I don't " Kara called back in confusion.
" Gooblin used his magic on you.." Gabriel answered and then Kara remembered that Gooblin was the last person she saw before everything went black. " That little monster..why would he do this? " Kara was confused just as much as she was filled with Anger.
" He was getting you out of the way. I mean, you are kind of a problem " Gabriel answered, his calmness only frustrated Kara even more.
" Well he will pay for what he did. I am tired of the betrayel and I am tired of wasting time. I have to finish my plans before it's too late" Kara growled. " Now How the hell do I get out of here? " Kara began walking faster through the darkness, trying to find Gabriel but finding Noone.
" If you want out of here, then you have to change. " Gabriel answered.
" You have to change your ways. You are filled with so much hatred, bitterness, anger...that it is clouding everything that you once stood for" Gabriels voice was beginning to sound closer.
" You have to get back to the way you were. And use your knowledge to improve your methods..because bringing me back wouldn't change anything. Me and You were never meant to save this world together. But you have the chance to make things right and correct some of our mistakes..but not with the way you are doing things now" Gabriel explained.
" We have talked about this all before so I'm not going to continue repeating myself. I know that you think you can't live without me. But you can, you can be better. There are things right now in this world that are threatening everything that we tried to do. If evil succeeds, then there is no chance for any type of future for us. If you brought me back, right now, we wouldn't last long..not with how things are going. There is an evil in this world right now Kara...that only you can help to stop.." Gabriel pleaded with Kara who continued marching through the darkness, thinking on all that Gabriel said.
" There is not a single thing in this world that could even remotely come close to the level of danger I could bring to it" Kara smirked.
" But if you are right, and there is a threat to us..then I will stop it" Kara was confident in her abilities, believing her abilities set her far apart from anyone that could possibly be arise as threat.
" Kara..you cannot afford to take this threat lightly. I know you are strong but this evil is something on another level. It's power rivals the Night Slashers..if anything..it actually almost surpasses it " Gabriel warns. " Just understand that you are going to need help to stop it..you need allies..and you have none" Gabriel adds as Kara finally stops her march and tries to process all that her mate had said.
Silence fell over her, as she thought about all the warnings before finally saying " I want to continue our legacy. Regardless of what you say, we are mates. I will stop this threat, and then, I will bring you back. One way or the other. But from there, I want to continue or legacy. If the Underworld is even worth saving at this point, then we are going to leave our mark on it" Kara receives no reply from Gabriel, and instead receives a long silence. " Just please do the right thing Kara " And with that Kara, Jolts awake.
