Silence is a special Status Effect that very few could inflict on foes.
It made it impossible to recite any word, and in this status effect, it was especially deadly for magicians who required the conjuration of powerful spells.
Also, it was nice to shut up a foe when they wouldn't stop talking nonsense, so you could better concentrate on fighting them.
Although it didn't do anything else than that, it was also a good way to inflict mental damage on a foe, as they'll continue to grow angrier and frustrated because they cannot speak a word!
Neberius kept trying to say a word, yet he could only cough with a dry voice. "M-My Voice! I can't say a thing! How frustrating! How dare they do this, bastards? AARRRGH!"
"Is this idiot for real?!"
Uroboros was shocked that Neberius was so distracted by his voice not working to the point where he allowed Anna and Hilda to get closer to him.
"{Thousand Blades}: {Chaotic Lightning Orochi}!"
"{Hephaestus Hammer}: {Surtr's Strike}!"
Anna and Hilda gathered their Auras and exuded them into two powerful attacks. Anna used her {Radiance} to boost Hilda's own Aura through the power of her [Princess] Trait, all while she unleashed a strange yet powerful attack!
By fusing Chaos with Lightning, and then applying it to her two swords through Thousand Blades, she was able to unleash a single attack in the shape of a giant, purple lightning-made snake.
Which were then divided into seven more through {Thousand Blades}!
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
The attacks were instant, and Neberius, too worried to notice, felt how the chaotic lightning coursed through his body, quickly cutting through him, and leaving several deadly wounds!
However, that wasn't the end of his agony. As he was about to counterattack against Anna, Hilda appeared above him, jumping easily into midair through her amazing boots.
BAAAM!
Her hammer struck him down with all her might, her aura shaping into the form of a blazing giant for a split second—the bringer of Ragnarök himself!
The giant crow ended up hitting through several rooms below before falling into a huge pile of rubble. His body was both burning and electrified, infested by chaos, and already weakened more than he imagined.
"T-This is impossible! Me, getting overwhelmed?!" He thought. "No…! I have Lord Uroboros' powers within me! RAAAAGGH!"
RUMBLE!
The surroundings trembled as Anna noticed Neberius manifesting his {Radiance} once more. This time, boosted by Uroboros, it became an ever-expanding cloud of darkness and crimson colors.
"Run!"
Anna knew that she shouldn't touch such a powerful force, quickly escaping with Hilda as the energy rose, consuming everything on its path and breaking through the ceilings!
BOOOM!
A huge explosion broke through the corridors, creating this maze-like dungeon. Even after Jeremias perished and lost control over it, the creations that the dimension left behind remained, making the interior of the castle incredibly big and confusing.
"CRAAAKH!"
With a dry and angered voice, Neberius crawled back onto the onto the surface, glaring at Anna with his countless eyes. And finally remembering her.
"YOU…! You're that damn girl that killed me when I fused with Aim and Astaroth!" He thought. "I'll kill her! SHE'LL PAY!"
Moving his gigantic limbs covered with crimson scales and black feathers, Neberius's aberrant form started running directly toward Anna.
"Anna, do you have any idea how to deal with him? He's tanking our attacks head-on!" Hilda panicked, running by Anna's side.
"He might seem like he's really tough, but a few more hits should do it. Even if boosted by Uroboros powers, he shouldn't be capable of too much." Anna said it confidently. "The real issue is how to evade his Aura, which can consume energy and physical things easily."
"It is in the form of a cloud, huh?" Hilda suddenly remembered.
"Oh yeah!" Anna realized this as they ran away from the giant. "Then…!"
Anna's [Sylph's Tear Ring] activated as she channeled as many Winds as she could, combining them with her Wind Compression Spell and her Fiend Sealing Curse.
"There you are!" Neberius finally found them, smiling.
The clouds, born from the manifestation of his {Radiance}, surged from within his body, rushing towards Anna and Hilda!
"{Demon-Sealing Celestial Storm}!"
Anna's hands glowed with the Runic Tattoos fused into them through her Arcane Hands Skill as she released a huge, spiraling storm of golden winds!
FLUOSH!
The winds quickly started pushing the cloud-like {Radiance}, Anna finally realizing the weakness of Neberius' greatest trump card.
{Radiances} could manifest in a variety of ways. Sometimes, like Anna, they boosted allies' power and granted her passive effects.
Other times, they held physical forms, such as Neberius, whose original {Radiance} was an All-consuming darkness that would turn everything into blackness, draining away light and energy.
Fused with Uroboros powers, this Radiance became crimson red, gaining the power to also consume physical things.
Yet, because the {Radiance} manifestation by itself was in a gaseous form, it could be affected by other gases!
It was just common sense, but nothing was confirming to Anna that it would work or not!
"M-My Radiance…! WHAT THE…?!"
Neberius suddenly felt his Radiance being constantly suppressed as the golden winds started spiraling around his body rapidly.
"S-STOP!"
The power of this spell carried the effects of Wind Compression and the Fiend Sealing Curse, which generated a gust of winds that wrapped around Neberius and did not let go!
And above all, the effects of the Fiend Sealing Curse were rapidly reducing his stats, decreasing his overall strength.
"Now!"
Anna led the way with Hilda, while Dimitri was riding Violet with Shiro by his side.
"Hey lil' pup, can you bless these bullets?"
"Kyuh?"
Shiro glanced at the dozens of bullets Dimitri pulled out of his pockets and nodded.
"KYUH!"
FLASH!
As the bullets were being blessed, Anna and Hilda reached Neberius, who was constantly fighting against Anna's mighty spell.
She conjured it two more times, making sure to keep him in place. The forces of the Celestial Winds and the Black Crimson Clouds were clashing against one another constantly, releasing sparks of red and golden lightning.
Neberius kept screaming in utter anger and agony; not only were his powers being temporarily suppressed, but these winds were so sacred they hurt him by barely touching him.
"{Thousand Blades}: {Chaotic Lightning Blade Rain}!"
Anna released and swung both swords horizontally as she leaped over Neberius. The Blade Ki surging from her attacks, which was a result of her Thousand Blades Skill activating, was shaped and transformed by her Radiance, absorbing the chaos and then turning into dozens of flying blades.
The blades pierced Neberius' entire body, blood splattering across the wooden floor. The Demon attempted to fight back with beast-like wrath, firing crimson beams charged with the powers of Uroboros!
Anna turned into lightning and evaded rapidly, while Hilda brought out a shield from her inventory, using it to defend herself from the beams.
"You're such a pain in the ass!" Hilda roared angrily, her Aura erupting from her body and then gathering into her left arm.
"{Blazing Pagoda}!"
Her Aura and her Element of Flames converged into a giant, erupting tower of flames, burning through Neberius' body.
BOOOM!
Neberius let out a sharp scream before his body lost its balance and fell, the celestial winds quickly receding as they were overwhelmed by his Radiance. He quickly stood back up with a malicious smile, opening his jaws to greet Anna with a deadly breath, imbued with Uroboros Venom.
"DIE!"
However, Anna simply smiled confidently!
"{Chaotic Explosion Chain}"
She conjured a Chaos Attribute Spell as Hel's Grimoire floated around her, giving her an extra boost to her magical prowess.
Suddenly, all the blades incrusted over Neberius' body lit up and exploded.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"W-What?!"
Neberius could only react in surprise as his entire body was beginning to fall apart into pieces. With all his strength, one of his enormous arms shapeshifted into a giant crow and snake-like hybrid, rushing towards Anna, and attempting to finish her off.
CLASH!
However, Anna barely parried the attack with her two swords, but quickly realized the venomous crimson energies of Uroboros started to seep through them into her body!
"Shit!"
Anna felt the durability of her weapons and armor decrease very rapidly because of the Devouring Power of Uroboros venom. In a flash, she turned into lightning and ran away.
FLASH!
However, what greeted her was yet another attack from Neberius.
"You think I'm letting you go so easily?!"
His wings spread out and then he fired thousands of Venom-enchanted Black Feather projectiles, as sharp and tough as the blades themselves.
"You've got to be kidding me!"
Anna couldn't easily evade these incredibly fast projectiles by turning into lightning. And if they were imbued with Uroboros powers, they could easily devour her phantasmal lightning form too.
She gritted her teeth, activating several of her equipment abilities to boost her stats as much as possible, and began to swing both of her swords while releasing her sword Ki, blocking the feathers as they came!
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
"Ugh!"
Anna felt the feathers pierce through the openings of her armor, several of them barely missing, cutting her head off or slashing half her face.
"DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE!"
Neberius couldn't even move right now, yet he was overwhelming Anna at that very moment!
However…
"Oi, don't you forget I exist!"
Hilda quickly rushed towards his back, her hammer suddenly growing five times as big as she charged it with the rest of her Mana and Aura!
"{Hephaestus Hammer}: {Prometheus Fist}!"
With all her might, her Aura quickly transformed into the form of the blazing fist of Prometheus, the Titan of Fire who gifted Fire to humanity, manifesting itself within her hammer!
BAAAM!!!
The strike was devastating, with flames surging from the ground and burning Neberius' entire body, interrupting his endless barrage of feather projectiles. Only giving out an incomprehensible scream of agony, Neberius attacked Hilda with his huge snake-like tail, throwing her away with tremendous strength.
"Fuck…!"
CLASH!
Hilda barely put her hammer in front to protect herself from the blow, but felt her arms almost break as both of her shoulders dislocated as she was thrown away with enough force to blow up a whole building.
"RAAAAGGGHHH!"
Neberius screamed with utter fury and frustration, quickly rushing to eat Hilda as he opened his jaws. He seemed to be constantly burning; Prometheus' flames were almost divine and would not go away as easily.
"I'll eat your flesh and soul, pitiable mortal!"
Although he could finally speak again, Neberius was too furious to pay it any mind, reaching closer to Hilda, who could not even stand up again; her strength and mana were completely exhausted.
"Shit…! Is this how I'll go?!"
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
However, such thoughts didn't last too long inside Hilda's mind, as a slightly wounded Anna appeared behind the damned Demon, accompanied by ten blessed bullets piercing and burning his body.
Distracted by the pain of the holy light burning deep within his flesh and soul, Neberius was incapable of stopping Anna from cutting him down.
"Now let's see what piece of jewelry I will make you into!"
Neberius didn't know what Anna truly meant until he realized the black sword she was wielding was his fellow Death Apostle, Aim!
And that wasn't all, as she was wearing two accessories made out of them too!
A black bracelet decorated with beautiful red jewels made out of Agares granted her a Strengthening Aura of Blood.
And a black ring with a beautiful pink diamond, made out of Jeremias, which granted her the temporary ability to shift between spaces, although limitedly.
"What?! Why are they...?!" Neberius thought. "No matter! I'll heal all my wounds now and-"
Neberius tried to quickly gather his Demonic Energies and regenerate through his trump card but was quickly interrupted from doing so as he realized the blessed bullets deep within his flesh were sealing his demonic energy.
"UUGGH…?! I can't heal!"
"Sorry, man, but you won't be able to use your demonic powers for a hot minute."
Dimitri's snarky remark was only the beginning of Neberius' worries, as Anna's two swords moved vertically and horizontally as she moved in midair while spinning beautifully, resembling a sword dancer.
"{Thousand Blades}: {Heavenly Chaos}"
Combining several Techniques into one through her exceptional talent and strength, Anna's movements and attacks resembled a storm of blades. Her swords cut through Neberius as he felt the power of Chaos itself, an incredibly dangerous power slicing not only his vessel but his very soul.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
"STOP!"
He grew confused and furious as his entire vessel was cut down to pieces in a split second, Anna's focus did not waver before his screams, her Will quickly diving into his soul to seal him.
"Now, you're-"
However, Anna was greeted by an enormous mass of darkness and crimson red energies; among them, she could see a titanic, crimson-demonic snake glaring at her.
"You're overstepping your boundaries, little mortal…"
His voice reverberated through Anna's soul as it tried to devour her with his very authority and presence!
"Ugh…!"
Anna fell to her knees within the Soulscape, as she saw Uroboros slowly beginning to draw closer.
"You can't even move? How adorable. You're like a tiny, little mouse... Keheheheh!"
His enormous body swiftly reached her, his massive jaws opening to reveal an endless inferno of boiling liquids and souls inside his esophagus.
"I'll take this opportunity to devour you whole, so stay still!"
Uroboros maws devoured Anna whole, as she simply smiled while having her soul swallowed by a Constellation!
GULP!
FLASH!!!
The moment he swallowed Anna, Uroboros felt an immense boost of power! Demonic, Celestial, Chaotic, and Cosmic Energies, all becoming his!
"Ahhh! This power…! You are not a normal mortal soul, aren't you?! Now- UGH?!"
However, he suddenly felt a very sharp pain inside of his stomach, as he felt the sudden desire to vomit! He started coughing constantly, realizing that Anna let him eat her up easily because she had other plans… And those included being inside his stomach.
"W-What are you doing- UGH! AAAGGGHHH…!"
The scream of a Constellation echoed across the entire Cosmos, as Anna's gauntlet and crimson armor effects both activated at the same time.
The Fragments of the Authorities of two Void Rulers were not going to be digested so easily!
