A Tale of two worlds

Chapter 22.

"A Tale Of Two Worlds"...

Athena,Geal and Kingston spent hours poring over the book, trying to decipher the strange language. They looked for patterns, for clues. They even tried reading the words backwards, but nothing worked. They were starting to get frustrated, when they noticed something odd. On the last page of the book, there was a small symbol, drawn in the corner. They looked at it closely, and they realized it was the same symbol that was on the cover of the book. They looked back at the cover, and they saw that there was a second symbol next to the first one.

*************

Then they realized that only an extraordinary being could read the book. So they took the book to Rang the seer.

As Athena handed the book to the seer, he examined it carefully. "This is a powerful book," he said. "But I cannot read it. There is one who can, but he is not here." He paused, then continued. "There is a place, deep in the forest, where the trees are ancient and the earth is sacred. There, you will find the one who can read the book. But the journey will not be easy." Athena looked at Geal, Athena knew she has to embark on the journey alone as the chosen one.

As Geal bid farewell to Athena, she set off alone into the forest. The trees loomed overhead, their branches heavy with leaves. The air was still and quiet, as if the world itself was holding its breath. Athena felt a sense of foreboding as she walked deeper into the forest. But she had to find the one who could read the book, and so she pressed on. As she walked, the forest grew darker and the shadows seemed to close in around her.

Then, in the distance, she saw a faint light. She followed it, and it led her to a clearing in the forest. There, in the center of the clearing, stood a woman. She was tall and slender, and her hair was as white as snow. "Greetings, child," she said, her voice like the wind through the trees. "You have come seeking answers. I am here to help you." Athena fell to her knees before the woman, overcome with awe and relief. She had found the one who could read the book.

"Rise, child," the woman said, and Athena stood before her. "What is it that you seek?" she asked. "I have come to find the one who can read the book of beasts," Athena replied. "You have come to the right place," the woman said. "I can read the book, and I can help you understand its secrets. But first, I must know why you seek this knowledge." Athena hesitated, but then she told the woman everything. She spoke of the dragons and their plight, and of her own need to help them.

As Athena finished her story, the woman's eyes filled with sadness. "I understand your desire to help the beasts and dragons of the supernatural realm" she said, "but this knowledge comes with a price. Are you willing to pay it?" Athena felt a chill run down her spine, but she nodded. "I am willing," she said. The woman nodded. "Then we must begin," she said. She took the book from Athena and placed it on a stone altar in the center of the clearing. She placed her hands on the book and began to chant in a language that Athena had never heard before.

As the woman chanted, the book began to glow with a faint blue light. The light grew brighter and brighter, until it filled the entire clearing. Athena shielded her eyes, and when she looked again, the woman was gone. In her place, there was a dragon. It was larger than any dragon Athena had ever seen, and its scales were the color of the midnight sky. "I am the guardian of the book," the dragon said, its voice deep and powerful.

"I have been waiting for you, child," the dragon continued. "You have come seeking knowledge that can help the dragons and beasts of the supernatural realm, and I will grant it to you. But first, you must prove your worth. You must face a challenge, and if you succeed, you will be worthy of the knowledge you seek." Athena looked at the dragon, her heart pounding in her chest. "What challenge must I face?" she asked. "You must journey to the heart of the forest," the dragon replied. "There, you will find a pool of crystal clear water.

"You must drink from the pool, and when you do, you will be given a vision. In this vision, you will see the future. If you can interpret the vision, you will have the knowledge you seek." Athena felt a mix of fear and determination. She knew this would be no easy task, but she was determined to help the dragons. She nodded, and the dragon pointed to a path through the trees. "This path will lead you to the pool," it said.

Athena took a deep breath and started down the path. The trees closed in around her, and the light from the clearing faded. The only light came from the glowing moss that grew on the trees. The path was steep and winding, and it seemed to go on forever. But finally, she came to a clearing. In the center of the clearing was a pool of crystal clear water. It shimmered like a mirror, and it seemed to glow from within. Athena approached the pool, her heart racing.

She knelt by the pool and reached out a hand to touch the water. As she did, the surface of the pool began to ripple. Images began to form on the surface of the water, moving and shifting like a dream. Athena watched, transfixed, as the images took shape. She saw supernatural beings fighting ,it was a site to behold as the land flow with blood of innocent people,No....Nooooooo, Athena stammered with tears rushing down her face, then She saw dragons flying through the sky, and then she saw them fighting a great battle against the beasts of the supernatural realm,no I must stop this war, they are guardians and the balance between two worlds and shouldn't be fighting among themselves,But the battle was unlike any battle she had ever seen. The dragons were fighting against a foe that she had never imagined.

Then a creature appeared,It was a dark and twisted creature, with a thousand eyes and a thousand claws. Its roar shook the very earth, and it seemed to consume everything in its path. As the battle raged on, Athena saw the dragons and beasts beginning to fall. One by one, they were struck down, until only a handful remained. But in the midst of the chaos, she saw a small dragon hatchling. It was wounded and alone, but it still fought with all its might. And as it fought, it began to glow with a brilliant light.

Yes...yesssssssss, Athena shouted as her hope was restored.
