The pilot's voice filled the plane's cabin announcing we were about to touchdown at the International Airport of Manaus. The beautiful doctor from the hospital in Caracas was waiting for me at the terminal. She was wearing a stylish, tight, white suit, looking even more stunning than I remembered. A broad smile decorated her face and made her blue eyes twinkle. She seemed like an angel, and everybody in the terminal craned their necks to look at her as they passed by.
"You?"
She winked at me. "How are you, Aníbal? Welcome to Manaus!"
"You're the doctor that drugged me."
She leaned a little, so we were face to face, and put her hand on my shoulder. "I had to, Aníbal. My name is Athbel, and I work for Salazar."
