"What makes you think that he would tell me anything?" I asked her in a dry voice. "If anything he would hide every matter from me."
"Why?" She rebuked immediately. "Are you going to be a traitor?"
"No," I answered without waiting for anything. "Marilyn, you out of all should know for a fact that I would never do anything like that."
"And I do know that," she nodded with a slight nod, "which is why I am telling you to go ahead and talk with him. Maybe that is all you need to do."
All I need to do for what?
I was aware that Marylnn was trying to push me in a certain direction but I never felt ready to go there.
"You have to try," she placed her hand on my shoulder, "how do you expect something good to come your way if you're never going to walk towards it first. You must do something rather than just expecting it."
