Chapter 7

Two decade ago, Tata had kept all her powers hidden when she disguise into a maid and left their Kingdom. She knew her family could track her if she kept her real identity, so she used a strong magical spell to block hold of them tracing her, so long she did not use any of her power again they wouldn't be able to find out where she was.

Queen Tata flee and ran to Acan kingdom, luckily the Palace were looking for new maids to serve the Royal family as of then King Matthew was still a prince. She observed how the people of Acan dressed so she went and bought some dresses to dress like them.

When she arrived at the examining room, the head of maidens whom was there together with the Chief maids where the ones selecting new maids. As she did not dare to use her magic, she stole the identity of another woman whom was working outside the palace that she had gone to buy somethings from earlier, from the very first day she had arrived Acan.

It came to her turn to be examined and Tata bowed her head, not allowing anyone look into her eyes, as she did not want to use her power to change her eyes color.

"Where are you from?" The Chief maid asked her

"Am from the south tribe, am an orphan" Princess Tata lied to them, and they felt pity for her immediately as most of the girls they had selected were mostly orphans or homeless girls, they did these base on the fact they do not want any family members of the maids to come over to the palace, disturbing the maid from concentrating on their work nor the family member requesting to see any of the maid.

"You are welcome, you can go in to the seamstress department to pick your size of uniform." The head maiden said to her and Princess Tata bowed her head and went into the palace.

Not knowing the way to the seamstress department, Princess Tata bowed her head not asking any of the guard she came across for directions, She walked up climbing the stairs and going upstairs. The Royal castle of Acan was totally different from the Mansion the Jalin Royal family uses as their palace.

She turned left and saw two guards coming with a man dress liked a prince, quickly she fastened her steps and run back but the guards below guarding every corner of the Royal palace caught her.

Prince Matthew was already in his prime age of getting married but he hasn't seen any maiden he was in love with, his mother Queen Rosa had hosted a lot of feminine party, inviting different young maiden, so her son could pick a wife from any of the maidens, but he refused. He was aloof to women, but for some reason he felt the maiden whom he just spotted now running and was caught by the guards looked strange, he walked up to her instead of heading to the meeting room, he had wanted to attend before he sighting her

Walking closer to her, he asked "Who are you, and why are you dressed so differently?" Prince Matthew questioned her and she kept her head lower not looking up to him.

Since she wasn't using her magical power and had locked them all with a spell, she didn't want him to see her face either as Jalin women where extraordinary beauties. If the head maiden or chief of maids had seen her real face, if she hadn't hung her head low, They wouldn't have allowed her into the palace.

"Can't you speak, his highness asked you a simple question?." The guard standing next to her spoke and he pushed her to speak.

"Look up!" Prince Matthew commanded her and Princess Tata panicked, she knew how beautiful she was compared to her elder sister. If the young prince sees her face, he will recognize she's not from their Kingdom. She didn't dare to look up at him as she still kept her head low using her scarf to cover some side of her face.

"Hmm.." Prince Matthew sighed and crossed the line in between them, as this was the very first time he got closer to a maiden.

"Look up" he said to her, standing an inch in front of her, she softly raised her head up, shifting her scarf a little as she revealed her pretty face

The guards jaw dropped, and they immediately stiffened at the sight of the magnificent beauty standing in front of them, Prince Matthew mouth was also left agape,

"Who .. are you?" Prince Matthew manage to ask after recollecting himself.

"Am.. My name is Tata, yes Tata," She replied him and hung her head low again.

"Tata! what a beautiful name, for a magnificent beautiful like you. Come, follow me I need to speak to you first and get to know you better." Prince Matthew said to her, as he couldn't hide his excitement, his heart was beating happily.

Prince Matthew held her right hand which were warm and soft and drag her to his room, his own chambers. Turning to lock up his room door from within, he brought out his head thru the door and spoked to his personal guards,

"Any one who comes to look for me, tell them I am very busy and cannot see them at this moment, till when I comes out of my chamber, do you hear me!, And don't let father or mother come in, although I will lock it from within," Crown Prince Matthew said wanting to lock his room door.

As he was about locking the door his guard quickly shook his head inside and ask, "But my prince, we don't really know who the lady is yet, what if she's a witch or someone sent to kill you?," His personal guards Henry asked worriedly.

"I do not think so Henry, you worry too much, Just go back to your standing post and guard your post," Prince Matthew push the guard head back and shut the door from within, locking it.

The guard prayed from his guarding position that nothing to happen to the prince as he wouldn't be spare if anything happens to the crown prince.
