Chapter 36

Tacha went out to go serve Princess Alesa meal, she came across Chika and they spoked about the Princess, "Did you see that Queen mother as given the princess a new maid?," spoked Tacha as she went into the kitchen and met Chika there, while other servants had gone on errands.

"I haven't seen the princess since last night she came to collect her meal," replied Chika whom was now the new head maid.

"I don't like how the Queen is treating that princess," spoked Tacha

"Shush Tacha, do you want to land us in trouble, don't you know that the walls has ears, The Queen has the right to make whatever decision she want to decide on their guest, don't forget that the princess too is to beautiful and has done some strange things in our own presence," spoked Chika as she lowered her voice so as not to be heard by anyone.

"Let's not worry about the princess, besides we have our duty to do here in the palace, if we go worrying about her and taking sides with her and we lost our job or got punished by the royal family, the princess wouldn't come to our rescue," spoked Chika and Tacha became quiet.

"Before I forgot, what did you come here to do in the kitchen, hope is not to discuss?," questioned Chika and Tacha shook her head, "No, I actually came to collect the princess breakfast" replied Tacha.

"Good, is better you serve her and just mind our businesses than poke nosing into what's not our business, here wait let me dish out her meal."

Chika went on serving the princess food in the tray and when she was thru covering them, she handed it over to Tacha, "Don't go stressing yourself about the princess, let just do our work dilegently and respect the royal family," advised Chika and Tacha nodded in response while collecting the tray of food.

As she was about going upstairs to serve Princess Alesa, she saw some girls bragging about the upcoming event, she didn't waste her time listening to them as she knew the participation is open to every maiden in Kande, irrespective of their ranks and jobs.

Reaching in front of the guest room door, she opened it and went it, she noticed Princess Alesa wasn't in the room, so she asked the maid, "Where's the princess?."

"She's taking her bathe," replied Mary, and Tacha nodded, while she went to serve the meal, she thought about waiting for Princess Alesa to come out into the room as she didn't trust the new maid Queen Mahama had sent to keep Alesa company, pretending like she had some important thing she wanted to discuss and ask from Alesa, she told the maid, "I actually wanted to ask the princess for my cloth, so I will have to wait for her to finish taking her bathe." The maid didn't say anything in response, she only nodded and went back to arranging the room, few minutes later, Princess Alesa came out tying only towel, as she stepped out into the room.

"Wow so quick with your bathe?," questioned Tacha and Mary just stared at her in shock, while looking at the way Tacha was conversating with the princess like they where related.

"I just went to pour water on my head to calm my body, not really a bathe though," replied Alesa.

"It okay I can understand, I already brought you breakfast, you should try and eat it before it gets cold, actually I waited because I wanted to ask for my clothes that are still in your custody," stated Tacha and Princess Alesa smiled.

"If you collect the clothes then you as well want me to be naked as I did not come here with any of my things,' spoked Alesa and Tacha smiled knowingly, "I can understand," she replied and turned to leave, "Do take care of yourself princess," She spoked and left the guest room.

Princess Alesa walked over to the table where Tacha had kept her food, she opened it and scanned it, though it was her favorite meal back in Acan, a native soup so she took out the chair next to her and she sat down, while she silently ate her meal.

Shortly after eaten, she was tired and went to sleep on the bed, stretching her body comfortably, while covering herself up with the duvet to feel warmer, she raised her head up and told Mary to go eat her.own.bteakfast and return, as she wanted to have a long rest for the day.

Downstairs in the hall room as the decorations where still ongoing, just then the messenger whom Queen Mahama had sent to Acan to go confirm princess Alesa identity arrived at noon, with another carriage following behind him into the Kande royal palace.

Queen Mahama stood up as she waited for him to highlight his horse and come into the hall room to give her report.

He came down from his horse and went into the meeting room, he immediately bowed his head low as he greeted the Queen, "Long life her majesty, may your days be long."

"Arise!," spoked Queen Mahama as she stared ahead at the royal looking carriage that was parked outside in the palace, Prince Ali was also coming downstairs when he took notice of the messenger whom had returned and the Royal carriage parked outside.

"Did you deliver the message?," questioned Queen Mahama.

"Yes your highness, I did exactly as told, here's the confirmation letter as requested," he handed over the confirmation letter to Queen Mahama whom immediately collected it, just then the Coachman of the royal looking carriage came down and open the carriage door for the lady in it to step down.

Prince Ali and his mother Queen Mahama attention was drawn to the lady whom came down from the carriage with the help of the Coachman, two men dressed in guards uniform also accompanied her and they both turn to look at eachother.

"Your highness, the king of Acan sent the maid to follow behind me as he supposed his daughter will be in need of her maid and for his daughter to return back to Acan with the Royal carriage," spoked the messenger.

"I see.." Queen Mahama replied, "Well where's is the princess, is it not best she returns back to her father's kingdom, or what else is she waiting for?," questioned Queen Mahama, and Prince Ali stiffened, he stared at the maid, whom had come all the way from Acan palace to Kande to accompany princess Alesa.

"Let her in," spoked Prince Ali and the guards standing opening the entrance door for Esther to come into the palace meeting hall.
