33:The indifferent icy princess (4)

Just before supper on the first night at the Leerstrom mansion, Ander sneaked into the room accorded to Jasmine. He tiptoed in his soft sandals, putting his best foot forward not to make any noise and wake the sleeping beauty.

His goal was to confirm that indeed the ice princess was asleep. Ander was thouroughly charmed by the peace and serenity of the room. One that came with Jasmine being unconscious.

He inched closer and closer to the bed. His eyes glued to Jasmine's fair body as she rested peacefully on the bed. Henifer had bathed her and dressed in a polished pink nightdress that covered her body decently.

Jasmine appeared like a princess from a fairytale waiting for a prince to save her with a true love's kiss. A peace Ander knew would fade the second her eyes would snap open.

Especially when she comes to learn that while she was unconscious, Henifer took the necessary measures to become her guardian and moved them; Jasmine, Jacob, Elisa and all the servants to her house.

Ander went down on his knees next to the bed. He stared closely at Jasmine's beautiful face, a smile subconsciously formed on his lips. 'Why can't you be this beautiful when you're awake?' he thought.

He put his finger under Jasmine's nose to check if she was breathing. Her breath was soft, warm and almost tickling against his finger. Ander pressed his hands slightly on the bed and leaned his head to her chest. He listened to the sound of her heartbeat to further confirm she was alive.

Jasmine's eyes snapped, Ander's hair being the first thing she sees, her eyebrows furrowed together. "What are you doing?"

Hearing her cold icy voice, shivers ran down his body, paralysing him on the spot. Without a thought, Ander whisked his body off the ground and onto the bed. He steadied himself right above her, with his left hand to her side on the bed and his right hand on her chest.

Jasmine's eyes went wide with shock. She didn't anticipate he would boldly jump into bed with her. A move that left her mind black and her eyes blinking uncontrollably at him.

"What are you doing?"

Ander swallowed hard. His hand frozen, lingering on her chest above her heart, where her every heartbeat was hard. He had accidentally created an anxious collision with the ice princess. Ander had no clue how to get himself out of the mess his stupid mind made.

"I yearned for you," he whispered next to her ear, his mouth moved faster than his brain, he spoke before words were filtered out in his mind. 'I am so dead!'

Jasmine hiccupped, her body hit with a sensational feeling she'd never felt before. Her heart raced harder and faster. Her breath hastened at Ander's boldness.

Ander had reached a point of no return. He decided the best way out for him was play out the scene and convince Jasmine of his words.

He kissed the space beneath her earlobe and moved down to the smooth whiteness of her shoulder, the pulse at the base of her throat.

Jasmine froze, her fingers clenched at the bedsheets under her palm. Her body paralysed to Ander's fearless and daring actions. Her eyes wide open, almost breaking out of their sockets as her mind turned out blank at making sense of Ander's actions.

She gave a faint hiss at pleasant tingles left in Ander's trail of soft tiny little kisses. Her reaction provoked him to be a little bolder, he used his tongue to make languid circles on her neck, sucking only enough to keep her tender flesh inside the clamp of his lips.

He spent time on her neck. Feathering little kisses on her skin, keeping his mouth soft, untill she moaned and stirred her lips. Needing more than faint feathery stimulation.

Dragging his lips up her smooth skin, Ander rooted in the hot silk of her, finding the delicate blunt point of her nape, using the velvet flat of his tongue to paint and caress her neck with more kisses.

Jasmine clutched his head more tightly, her fingers grabbing his hair and sobbed his name, the throaty sound exciting him.

"Get off!" Jasmine snapped to her senses at the sensual moan that slipped out of her mouth.

Ander clumsily moved and fell to the floor. He pricked his palm with his nails as he waited for ice princess to freeze his existence.

Jasmine inhaled and exhaled deeply to calm her racing heart. She slowly tapped her flashed face, trying to retain her famous icy expression.

"You must be in a good mood."

"Uhm…yeah."

"Why…uhm…why did you just…"

"I should go down," Ander scurried to his feet. His heart in his throat as the distance between Jasmine's bed and the door felt like a million miles, one which he needed to cover to get away before she kills him.

"Ander," Jasmine softly called out to him. Her angelic tone prompted him him to pause, his heart missed a beat at the sound of his name in a tone he's never once heard her take before.

"Yes," he held his breath. Waiting to hear her sweet voice once more, the moment felt like a dream.

"You missed a spot," Jasmine brought to his attention.

"Huh?" He swung his head back to face her. Confused by her words. Jasmine sat up on the bed and shyly pointed at her lips, "You missed a spot," she repeated.

Ander swallowed hard, his mind registering what Jasmine was insinuating. The thought of which provoked mixed feelings in his heart. On one hand, his heart raced with desire to tame her lips and taste every inch of her mouth while a part of him felt it was a trap and the second he goes to her, she'll use her ice to send him to his maker.

"Well, get to it!"

Against his better judgement, Ander sauntered back to the bed. He sunk in the spot next to her feeling nervous and anxious about kissing Jasmine's lips. He would be her first, if he wasn't mistaken and such was a heavy weight to carry than saving the world.

Cradling Jasmine's head in his hand, he bent down to kiss her gently, with hot, shallow laps into her mouth. And as she responded he went deeper, demanding more.

The kiss went on and on, making her gasp and strain, her own small tongue darting greedily past the edges of his teeth. She was so absorbed in tasting him, so dazed by the current of arousal humming through her, that it took her a little while to realize she was lying back on the bed with him, her hands flung over her head.

He took his time, savoring her with slow, open kisses. Bequeathing her all the passion he could muster in the heat of the moment.

Ander broke the kiss, giving her room to catch her breath. They both panted for air, staring into each other eyes with neither of them making an effort to move.

"Why are you so nice to me today?" Ander asked.

"Why are you so yielding to me today?" Jasmine raised a question of her own.

"You were so peaceful and beautiful as you slept, I couldn't help it," he answered honestly.

"And now, am I not beautiful?"

Ander smiled, "You're gorgeous," he said, Jasmine blushed. "Just not peaceful," he added.

The smile on Jasmine's lips fell. Her eyes cast down and sorrow tightened around her heart. He judged her harshly.

"If I was peaceful would you be warm to be all the time?" She dared to ask, her fingers tightening around the bedsheets, anxious of his response.

"I wouldn't be so scared of you all the time if you were. And maybe…" Ander paused to put his words in order.

Jasmine snapped her head up, curious of what he meant to say. "Maybe what?"

"I guess we'll never know because it's impossible for you to be anything less than icy and cold-hearted," he let out.

Tears welled up in Jasmine's eyes at his words. She bitterly scoffed and blinked away the tears in her eyes.

"You're right. I'm too broken to be put back together," she uttered coldly. With a sharp intake of breath, she harshly kicked Ander off the bed.

Ander landed on the floor with a loud thud. He groaned at the impact, his knees and palms ached at the collision with the marbled floor.

Jasmine smirked, she got up from the bed to freshen up, she took her normal route to the bathroom only to be met by a wall. It was then that she realized that wasn't her room.

Her cold piercing gaze fell on Ander, "Where the hell am I?" She roared.
