Chapter 6 What If I Don't?

Bill's heart clenched when he heard Camelia's words spoken in a tone that was calm but not joking.

He laughed suddenly, as if mocking Camelia's naivety.

"Kill me? If I die, you won't be able to afford the consequences."

Camelia's smile deepened.

"Really? I'd like to know who I can't kill."

She tossed the largest blood bag to Bill and turned to the two men holding him. "Keep drawing until his blood is drained."

One of them replied respectfully, "Yes, boss."

He picked up the blood bag without hesitation, removed the cap of the needle, and inserted it into Bill's vein.

Sally was terrified when the needle in Peter's hand pierced her vein.

She cried out instinctively, "Help! Bill, save me! I don't want to die!"

Gone was her coquettish weakness.

In the face of death, she was miserable.

"Who are you?"

A voice called out.

A handsome man in his mid-thirties appeared at the door.

Following him were a dozen bodyguards of the Aguirre Group.

His expression turned chilling when he saw Bill and Sally's pitiful state.

In an instant, an aura more domineering than Bill's emanated from him.

Bill turned his head to look at the door.

A flash of joy crossed his emotionless eyes.

"Uncle Carter?"

The incomer was none other than Carter Aguirre, the head of the Aguirre Group and the supervisor of Seattle's gray area.

Bill was working in the daylight, and he was working in the dark. One of them controlled a top consortium, and the other reigned the underworld.

At the wall, Sally saw her savior and screamed frantically.

"Uncle Carter, save me! They gave me a blood transfusion with Bill's blood. Our blood types don't match. If this continues, I'll die!"

Carter gave her a cold look and then turned to Camelia with his demand.

"Let them go!"

At a glance, he could tell that the woman sitting leisurely in the chair was the leader.

Camelia looked at Carter calmly and spoke unhurriedly.

"What if I don't?"

Carter's face instantly turned cold.

He strode toward Camelia with large steps.

As he got closer to her, the cold aura around him grew more intense.

If Camelia had been an ordinary person, she might have already been on her knees under the pressure of his presence.

But…

She just watched without turning a hair.

When the man was about three meters away from her, she suddenly flicked her hand.

Whoosh!

A silver needle darted out.

In reflex, Carter tried to dodge it.

But it was too late. Before he could react, the needle had already struck an acupuncture point on his chest.

He lost his strength in an instant.

If it were not for his strong will, he would have fallen to the ground.

Camelia looked at him indifferently.

"I only want the lives of Bill and Sally. Go now, and I'll leave you alone. If my brother is frightened, you and your entire family will die."

When Carter heard her bland yet domineering voice, his eyes flashed with murderous intent.

"It's not wise to go against the Aguirre family in Seattle."

The corner of Camelia's lips curved up. "I'd like to see the consequences of being unwise."

"Uncle Carter, save me!"

Sally's voice trembled.

Nearly half of the blood in the bag had been transfused into her body, and she was already experiencing headaches and tightness in her chest.

She felt like she was going to die at any moment.

Carter stared intently at Camelia for a while before glancing at Sally and finally settling his gaze on Bill.

Bill's face was extremely pale, a sign of excessive blood loss.

Seeing the bodyguards lying on the ground, Carter knew that the people he had brought with him were no match for Camelia and her companions.

After struggling internally for a moment, he took a deep breath and tried to lower his posture.

"Let them go. Whatever you want, we can talk it out."

"If you had come in here with that attitude from the start, I might have relented and let them go. Now? It is too late."

"Don't push your luck!"

Carter was furious.

Camelia looked at him, and the smile on her lips faded slightly.

In the next moment…

She flicked her hand again.

Whoosh!

Two silver needles whistled through the air and plunged into Carter's knees.

Thud!

His knees buckled, and he fell to the ground, kneeling before Camelia.
