Abe was almost halfway to his new spacious office when he suddenly remembered that he hadn't gathered any of his materials out of his small cottage before leaving for his early morning meeting with the Deputy Principal just before sunrise. His mini-confrontation with the teacher who always had it in for him, along with his pre-occupation with that girl, and all the mysteries surrounding her, had distracted him from the fact that he was actually empty-handed and unequipped for all he had on his plate that morning.

He had woken up to a heavy pounding on the front door earlier that morning and he had been disgruntled to find a gleeful Linus waiting for him at the door stoop.

"What?", Abe had grumbled, opening the door wide for the old man to enter.
