My Kingdom

"Let's find a way to get into their warehouses in the capital, that is where all their most valuable properties are", I say to my best friend as Kim Teayoung walks from my office.

"Your Highness we can't do that, If we are caught we will put all your father's sacrifice into vain", Kang Yun (my best friend) answered back.

"So I should just sit back and watch how they take over the nation and make us weak every time?" I asked back in anger.

He quickly crumpled to the floor and said

"My crown prince, I have always served you with my loyalty since we met in our youth and I will sacrifice my life to save yours if it requires of me, but I beg of you to talk with your father", he said.

I cannot doubt the sincerity of this man in front of me, he saved me every time and it was only fate that brought us together, he is the only subject I trust.

I am the crown prince of this great nation but I always look less in front of him, though I am the crown prince the royal family did not have half of the Kim property. They fund the royal bursary every year after we accept one of their selfish order. I always hated my old father for always giving in to them.

Now they have authority over water distribution, the right to start an army, and the right to do business all over the nation my father always said they are doing business for the royal family to help us with power but it is all a lie, I can see pass the Kim's heart.

"Let's go, I command him.

We get out of the Hall of Fame where the crown prince does all his meetings and personal work. All the maidservants and my eunuch joined us as we returned to my palace.

My palace was situated right after the queen's palace.

'I need to see my father", I said to them and faced the direction of the king's palace.

After walking for a while, we arrive at his door.

"Notify the king that I am around', I command them.

After the kind and the queen (my parents), I am the next in command until I become king.

"He is having a meeting with the Royal secretary and prime minister", the head maid of the king's quarters answered me back.

As I was about to turn back the meeting ended and they opened the door, The master behind all my hindrance and his son came out looking at me eye to eye. I can feel the intensity, but I never fear them, unlike my father.

My guard jumped in front of them

"Show your respect to his highness the crown prince", he commands them.

But they didn't dodge.

"The young crown prince, it's been a long time since we met, here is my son, he's of the same age as you", Kim Muyoung finally broke the intense.

"Greet his highness", he commands him.

He was looking into my eyes all this while even when my father was around but when his father spoke he bowed and greeted me.

"I know him, he comes to my office every meeting day to take my seal on their requests they have already decided", I answered.

"Everything is for the smooth running of our kingdom Your Highness", he said as he walked past me.

I moved close to Kim Muyoung and held his collar

"I see past your smile Prime Minister and I will always hate your guts", I said looking into his eyes.

He brushed my hands up and straightened his robe as he walked away.

Kang Yun wants to move but I hold him back, I can see the anger in my father's eyes.

"Come in", my father commands.

All my servants waited outside except my guard who entered and stayed by the door.

"Yi San, I have always told you to avoid them at all costs, haven't I? He asked angrily.

"Father, until when will we give way to them because they helped you start our nation?" I fight back.

"You have to lay low for now, I want to make you a stronger King just obey my orders", he said as he bent down to face me.

" Father, you are the only one that has the authority to use a seven dragon head robe, but the Kim family uses your type of robe to sit in his room, as I heard.", I said as tears rolled from my eyes.

"Have you seen it? he asked me

"Yes Father if you can follow me to his quarters, I will show you", I assured him.

"Who is there?

His guard ran inside and now

"Prepare some soldiers secretly, and be ready in an hour", he commands him.

The soldiers arrived an hour and we went straight to the Kim's Quarters, They have a quarter inside the palace at the end and they are not among the royal palace but they owned most of the army in the nation so we needed them for protection(that's the excuse my father gave me)

"I hope everything stopped today", I thought as I looked my father in the eyes.

My father looked afraid as we arrived at his Kim's house. All their family is already outside dressed nicely as they wait for the king like they know we are coming. And the place is heavily guarded.

"Your majesty, I am glad to have you in my home, it reminds me of our youth time", Kim Muyoung said and bowed to my father. And every one of his family bowed too.

"Come inside my king", he said and showed us the way inside. He didn't stop at his meeting room but took us inside his bedroom to sit and talk.

My father looked around the room and looked at my face, I was very ashamed of myself, there was no robe on his seat.

My guard and I sneaked into his house weeks ago and saw him and his son talking about how weak we are to them. But the room is not as we saw it weeks ago.

"Why are many of your soldiers outside with their weapons", my father asked him

"Two thieves barged into my house weeks ago to spy on us but we couldn't catch them, so our security is on high alert because if they breach us, they can breach into the palace too.

"How did he know there are two? So he saw us but let us leave, but why?",

"My king, we need to talk on an urgent matter Can the crown prince excuse us", he asked.

" I am the crown prince, why should I not partake in the affair of the nation? I asked back.

"Excuse us", he asked with a shaking voice.

"Why is my father afraid? I looked into his eyes but he didn't talk, he just kept looking at me as I exited the room.

After waiting for a while, my father came out of the room with red angry eyes.

"Follow me?, he commands me without looking at my eyes.

I know I am in trouble now

After arriving back at the king's palace, he scattered everything on his table as he shouted angrily.

"Father, what's wrong? I asked to tremble

"Where is the robe you claimed and why did you break into his quarters", my father asked

How did he know we broke into the prime minister's house, I looked into my guard's eyes but he shook his head, meaning he didn't.

"He saw you and your guard, breaking into his house, Now he said all the military secret files are missing and some of his servants claimed they saw you and your guards meeting our enemies to sell the secrets to them", he said as he slapped me hard.

"These are all lies, Father, I will never do anything to harm our people", I cried out.

"then show me your evidence", he asked me

My face dropped to the face in tears.

"I sacrificed a lot today to save you again Yi San and you must pay for it", he said angrily

"You are suspended from your post as the crown prince, You are to join the army going to the border to fight our enemies until I call for you back", he said with tears on his face.

"Now you know the power of the Kim family when you become king, I hope you will understand then that everything I am doing is to protect you", he said and went straight to my weakness (my guard). He brought out his rod and started beating him up. I have no choice but to beg my father for forgiveness.

"I will never confront them again my king, I am sorry I won't again please leave my guard, I will go to the border", I begged him.

"If you continue keeping weakness like this you will never be able to win over your enemies, cut all your feelings for them because you will lose many servants and subjects on your way to the throne", he said angrily and dropped the rod.

"Go, I don't want to see you until I summon you when the soldiers are ready", my father ordered.
