"Why can't I move? Wait, where am I?"
A second ago, Marcus had been with the others in the Air Tower. Now, he was somewhere completely different.
'No, not completely different,' he thought. 'This is just like the place I went with Elciya. At least, it feels the same.'
Somehow, he was stood on a cloud. Around him the wind howled at different volumes, raging from a dangerous tornado to a calming breeze. Despite them being so close to him, he felt rather calm, as though there was no danger to him here at all. Why he felt this way, he had no idea.
Looking down, he could see that the cloud was transparent. Below him was the city, with the attack underway in real time as he looked down at it.
"Why am I up here? And," he said, spinning around to look behind himself, "Didn't I feel something pulling me back?"
"Apologies about that, but I couldn't let you go out there in your current state, given the threat of the enemy," spoke a voice behind him.
