The one I cherish

Sam, the high school basketball captain, seems to have it all: talent, popularity, and ambition. But his pursuit of Rose, a sweet and innocent girl, takes a sharp turn when he dumps her at the end of his second year. Heartbroken, Rose becomes entangled in a series of unexpected relationships and life-changing events. When Daniel, a famous pop star, casually chats with Rose, the school erupts with rumors, leaving her overwhelmed. Seeking solace, Rose finds herself drawn to Kevin, the charming tennis star. Their connection deepens after a fateful kiss at Kevin's beach party, but it sets off a chain reaction of heartbreak and jealousy. Leah, the super-rich aristocrat with a secret love for Kevin, watches her world crumble as she witnesses the kiss. Just as Rose begins to move on, circumstances force her to reunite with Sam—only for her to collapse during a trip to Los Angeles. Kevin, abandoning everything in New York, rushes to her side and takes her to safety. As Rose slips into a coma, Kevin becomes her devoted caregiver, treating her as his wife in a bittersweet act of love and hope. Months later, Rose awakens on prom night, unaware of Kevin’s sacrifices. With her memory hazy, she resumes her engagement with Sam, who once again breaks her heart. Meanwhile, John, her childhood friend, resolves to win her love as they all enter college. Rose pursues a degree in music, with John and Kevin by her side. Kevin’s love for Rose remains steadfast, and when she finally remembers his unwavering support, they embark on a new chapter together. But the shadows of the past linger. Leah, devastated by her unrequited love, takes a tragic leap from the balcony, leaving Kevin, John, and Rose haunted by guilt. They return to New York, hoping to rebuild their lives, but Leah’s best friend seeks revenge, threatening to destroy everything they've built. As Rose becomes pregnant, a web of misunderstandings ensues, but Kevin’s joy shines through when the truth emerges: the child is his. With love as their anchor, Kevin and Rose grow their family, raising five children in a house filled with happiness. John and Sam, once rivals, find their place as cherished uncles, vowing to protect Rose and her children as part of their extended family.

Things are complicated now

The faraway look always seems so beautiful to gaze at. "Cut, cut!" shouted the director, who was filming Lisa for a movie. "Come on, Derek, I nearly didn't finish my breakfast," Lisa complained.

"Okay, okay, have it, and let's get started," Derek replied, but then he received a phone call.

"Look, it's your Dad."

"Dad?" Lisa answered.

"In Sam's Home"

"Yes, son, today your cousin is coming home."

"Oh, you mean Lisa?" Sam replied.

"Yep," said Sam's Father.

Meanwhile, Rose and Sarah arrived at Sam's home to discuss the plans for opening a shop. Rose had even brought her father along to accompany her.

Ding dong. The doorbell rang at Sam's home. He opened it to find Rose's father, Kevin, with Sarah and Rose.

"Please, come in, sir," Sam greeted them.

Sam's father was happy to see Kevin.

"Kevin, what took you so long?" he asked.

"Just traffic," Kevin replied, and they both laughed.

Sam's father turned to Rose. "It's your daughter Rose, am I right?" he asked.

"Yes," Kevin confirmed.

Ding dong. The doorbell rang again.

"Guess it's Lisa," said Sam.

The maid at Sam's house went to open the door. She hugged the maid, thinking it was Sam.

"Miss, I'm not Master Sam," the maid said.

"Oh, oops, sorry!" Lisa said, realizing her mistake. She looked around and saw Sam, along with Rose and Sarah, in the living room. She looked at Rose with disgust and remarked, "Why would a maid sit beside my Sam?"

Sarah, now angry, spoke up. "Sam's acting is only done in your world, not in mine, and certainly not among my friends."

Lisa, with a sneer, replied, "Friends? Who doesn't have a sense of fashion?"

Sarah could no longer contain her frustration. "Miss Lisa, I bet you've been with both boys and girls from all walks of life. Since you're an actress, it's no surprise that you behave this way in front of your elders. But I won't tolerate you insulting my friend. Do you understand, or should I explain further?"

Lisa swallowed nervously as everyone stared. Both Sam and Rose, along with Kevin and Sam's father, were astonished by Sarah's outburst.

Sam's father spoke up. "Lisa, why don't you go change? It seems like you're not the person you claim to be."

Lisa, without saying a word, headed upstairs.

Mr. Patrick apologized to Sarah and Rose for Lisa's behavior.

"That's okay, Mr. Patrick," Rose replied. "I think it's better to discuss our plans elsewhere."

"I guess you're right," said Kevin. "Maybe we can meet tomorrow at my place, in the backyard. Just us. We can discuss things peacefully there."

"That sounds nice," Sarah agreed.

Sam turned to Rose and Sarah, apologizing. "I'm sorry about all of this."

"It's not your fault," Rose assured him.

Sarah added, "It seems like Lisa likes you."

Sam sighed, "She's a headache."

"Tell me about it," Sarah replied. "So, can we go out?"

"Sure, no problem. Where to?" Rose asked.

"It's a surprise," Sam said with a smile.

Sarah, noticing something, said, "Um, Sam, you might want to turn around."

"Why?" Sam asked, turning around to see Rupert standing there, looking distressed.

"Rupert, are you alright?" Rose asked, concern in her voice.

"I guess," Rupert said softly.

"Okay, take care of your friend," Sam said to Rose. "He needs you the most."

"Thank you so much for understanding me," Rose replied. She and Sarah left for home.

Meanwhile, Sam took Rupert to a nearby beach to talk.

"Hey, man, what's going on?" Sam asked.

Rupert struggled to speak, his voice breaking as he cried. "It's Julia. She broke up with me."

"What?" Sam exclaimed. "What the hell is her problem?"

Rupert, choking on his words, continued, "First, she said she would be the future CIO founder. I don't know if that's true, but it is. She invited me to her family's place—they're all so wealthy. Her father said that I'm not worthy of her, and they've already set her up with another guy. They said if I really wanted her, I'd have to get Rose and Sarah to work with them. That's what they said."

Sam was shocked. "What are you saying, man? This is ridiculous. There's no way..."

Rupert cut him off. "I know you're rich, you only care about yourself," he said coldly.

"Rupert, you're getting it wrong," Sam replied, trying to calm him down. "It's not what you think it is."

"It's exactly what I think it is," Rupert muttered.
