It started interesting, you changed several things, just waiting for you to stop following the canon, and poor "kaneki" (which was like a brother to the protagonist), it was that you would not let the same thing happen as the canon, I did not see sense in what happened , since in the anime it is shown that he never wanted to be a ghoul (up to a time he went to university, rather he just likes to read and pass like normal people), now hopefully you don't go all like the "canon", asking him to suffer all that pod in the anime, because if you do it would be silly.
