Chapter 5: Equinox Order

After the incident with the class gifting ceremony, the people of the kingdom are worried about the conditions of the two new adventurers.

However, for the highest organization, they're worrying about something else. The balance of the world has been broken by the birth of Klay Panthor and Karma Cloud. Having a five-class adventurer and a three-class adventurer on the human's side means that the demon's side also receives power equivalent to the human's.

Equinox Order. They are the highest organization in the world. Their job is to protect their continent from monsters. They have first-rate adventurers in the palm of their hands. However, they don't have nobels in their group; they're all talented adventurers that can take on the demons. When necessary, they stand against the actions of the nobles without hesitation.

Philip Panthor is on his way to the meeting room, where the highest and greatest adventurers are waiting. He opens the door and sees a large, round white table in the center.

"Sorry, I'm late," Philip Panthor apologized.

Philip Panthor went to the empty chair and sat on it. After he sat, the other members of the organization spoke.

"Just us four again?! Oh, come on, I'm sick seeing your faces every time! When is Kolly going to show his face here?!" One of the members, Astrid Shadowbane, complained.

Astrid Shadowbane is currently the most powerful fighter, and although she's classified as a fighter, she focuses on her skills as an assassin. She uses shadows as her weapon and can move without a sound.

"Please calm down, Ms. Astrid. This meeting is very important; it's a shame the others couldn't spare time due to their busy schedules. But this meeting is necessary for the sake of our dear world. Isn't that right, Mr. Philip?" A young man with white hair spoke these words with such a comforting tone.

Zephyrus Frostborn is the strongest mage of all time. He specializes in ice magic and can control water with ease. He's a national-level threat that can wipe a country apart in a single night.

"Indeed." Philip Panthor stood up and showed a paper to the table.

"Klay Panthor and Karma Cloud. are the world's newest powers. They possess excellent talents and skills that can also be called curses," Philip Panthor added.

The three stayed silent for a while.

"Curse? What do you mean by that?" The last member currently available on the group spoke.

Rook Ironwood; he's the world's second-strongest tank. He has red hair and blue eyes. He's bulky and has strong, tough muscles.

"You guys do know the law of this world, right? Balance. So that means having someone talented on the human's side also gives someone talented to be born on the side of the demons." As Philip added this, Astrid and Rook stood up on their chairs due to shock.

"Don't tell me!" Rook mumbled.

As the two realized this, Zephyrus slowly opened his eyes with his arms closed together. Looking at the two, he was wearing such seriousness on his face. He slowly opened his lips.

"Yes, the reason the other members are not here right now is because they're tasked with killing the five-class individual on the demon continent."

The two don't know what to say. They are left speechless, realizing how naive they have been these past few days. They heard the news about a new adventurer who obtained an extraordinary number of classes. However, they didn't expect the demon's side to also gain power at the same length.

"Our meeting today is to determine countermeasures for the attacks aiming for Klay Panthor and Karma Cloud," Philip continued.

The four gathered up and made plans for the future of the two adventurers.

After the class gifting ceremony incident, Klay Panthor and Karma Cloud have been sent to the hospital and are being taken care of properly. The two suffered traumatizing events but also gained a tremendous amount of power.

According to Karma Cloud, he has been sent to the 105th floor, and the monster there summoned minions to increase the level of Karma and his comrades.

After they leveled up, the monsters slaughtered Karma's groupmates one by one. Due to Karma's rage, he gained a boost in his power and successfully decapitated the monster.

Right now, Philip Panthor is on his way to the room with the two. However, what he encountered was a commotion coming from the room where Klay and Karma were supposed to be.

Out of worry, Philip quickly went to the room and asked one of the nurses what was going on.

"Sir Philip?! The—there's a big problem!" The nurse, filled with panic, said with her stuttering words.

"What is it?"

"Young master Klay and young master Karma have been missing!"

"What?!" Philip couldn't believe what he just heard. After all the trouble he put in to ensure the safety of the two, this happens.

He quickly gathered the adventurers in the area and dispatched them all to find Klay and Karma.

5 hours ago, on the side of Klay Panthor.

Laying on the white bed in a quiet room, my best friend Karma is on the next bed beside me. I started a conversation.

"Hey Karma, what do you think will happen now?" I asked.

"According to that law of nature you talked to me about, then I'm sure they're going to lock us up and spoon-feed us to grow stronger," Karma replied unenthusiastically.

I got up and yelled, "That's boring!"

"Ugh, shut it. We have no choice. It's better than us experiencing danger head-on," Karma replied.

"But we wouldn't grow stronger that way; what we need is pressure!" I replied.

Karma, who doesn't want to have this conversation turned around to the other side of his bed.

"Karma, what level are you at right now?" I asked, filled with curiousity.

Not turning around, he said, "You first."

I opened up my hand and saw the level screen above it.

Klay Panthor [Level 145]

"I'm level 145," I said proudly.

Karma was still not turning around, so he said, "I'm level 130."

I got up from my bed and walked to him. Grabbing his clothes and lifting his face up.

"You experienced it too, right?! Us growing stronger by facing the dangerous situation! Having no other choice but to defeat the enemy in front of us! Taking the risk just to survive! So why are you afraid to grow stronger that way?!" I screamed right at his face.

He grabbed my shirt with force and also screamed straight at my face.

"Did you forget how our comrades died?! How can you talk so nonchalantly about getting stronger when lives are being traded just to acquire ridiculous power?!"

I grabbed his hand and forced him to let go of me. I then kicked his gut, sending him flying towards his bed. I stood firmly and said these words.

"Then all we have to do is protect our comrades and be stronger so that nobody else dies."

Karma, wearing a cold expression, has been left speechless. He looked down, thinking carefully about my words. Once he made a decision, he raised his head and looked me in the eye.

"What's the plan?"

On to the present.

We're now in an open field; there are separate paths. Left path and the right path.

The left path leads to the Horous Kingdom, and the right path leads to the Wyourld City.

This is where we go separate ways. We looked at each other and raised our fists.

"I'll be going this way," says Karma, pointing in the left direction.

"I know."

We bumped fists before heading to the path in front of us and saying the parting words.

"Don't die."

With a smile on our faces, we head straight to the path in front of us. Facing the things the world has to offer.
