Chapter 13

She hurriedly went towards the bathroom and pulled her dress up . Her eyes traced through the wound and fortunately, there were no open wounds , but it was surely a little swollen.

"Hey ! What happened?" Theseus asked when he saw how she had rushed in hurry. 

"It's nothing" she mumbled while quickly putting her frock down. 

"Are you sure?" He asked her and she nodded and turned around to look at him.

"Leave my matter , and tell me did you understand any word which I told you?" She asked and he gave her a little nod.

"I understand but I would like to very much ignore it . Change up your dress if you want to because we are heading towards the castle now" he told her and her jaw dropped.

"Wait... castle? As in the Vampire castle?" She asked him and he gave her a nod.

"Don't worry before that , I will dye your hair and make you drink the potion. Nobody will suspect that you are an omega" he told her and she couldn't quite believe his words.

"That's all understandable. But are common people allowed in the royal castle?" She asked him and Thesues shook his head.

"No"

"Then how will I enter?" She asked him.

"I will tell you about that in the way. Trust me it's going to be very amazing , but till then keep your mouth shut and change your attire in the washroom , while I do the same here in the bedroom . Can't risk getting way too late" he said and she nodded and quietly walked in the washroom. 

She locked the door and pulled up a white petticoat from her bag . It was folded neatly and she wore it . Above that , she wore an open brown frock . For her footwear, she decided to just go with her dirty pair of belle pointe shoes.

She looked at her braid and turned around with a small smile . It was literally a perfectly braided hair . 

'Regardless of how mischievous and eccentric a person he is , he is surely talented' She thought and picked up a small chapstick from her purse with a smile and applied it on her lips. It painted her lips in a beautiful glossy cherry red color . 

She knocked on the door this time to ensure he wasn't in the middle of changing the dress.

"Yes?" He asked .

"Are you done yet?" She asked him .

"Yes sweetheart. You can come outside now" he told her and she opened the door and stared at him wearing a white shirt with a brown waistcoat and brown pants with black polished boots. 

"Did you wear this dress purposely to match with me darling?" He asked while putting his hand around her shoulder with a flirty wink and Pryalis realized that they were literally twining . But instead of coming up with a retorting line or an aggressive one , she decided to play it down playfully.

"Ofcourse! I can't just turn down the opportunity of twinning with my brother" she said with a smile and Thesues chuckled at her words.

"Nice one sweetheart, so the cat finally returned your tongue?" He asked her and she nodded with a light smile . 

He realized that it was the first time she was playing back to his flirting and mischievous ways in a fun way. 

"Let's go outside now" he told her and grabbed her wrist while dragging her outside excitedly.

"I can't wait to show you what's happening today," he told her .

"Why ? Is it really special?" She asked and he lightly gave a nod.

"Yes...there is a fair. While you were dressing up , I heard the people announcing it in the whole town with a damn mic" 

"Aren't we gonna get late?" She asked.

"Well...who cares as long as we are having fun ? We can go to the castle tomorrow. We have paid for 2 nights anyways" Thesues told her and she lightly gave him a nod. 

She wanted to experience how fairs were. She had surely heard that they were one of the most fun events but she never bothered to go and check herself due to all the work and responsibilities she was bound by . But today wasn't the same thing . She was free from all of that. 

They walked downstairs and Thesues checked out of the hotel for the morning . Pryalis looked at the sky with a smile. 

'I can't wait to tell you about my experience there, to you Sepher' She thought and followed Theseus. 

The crowds of people were squishing them as they all were making their way to the fair . Everyone was dressed in colorful attire and smiling brightly while talking with each other about the plans they would do. 

Pryalis was smiling from cheek to cheek thinking about her own plans . 

'Spending a few coins on myself won't hurt' She thought with an excited smile.

As soon as they walked there , a loud voice of people singing was heard. She turned around and looked at a group of men wearing funny Pirate costumes sitting on the side and in front of them was a mike . On which they were singing a song which made Pryalis tap her boots on the ground too at the catchy rythm.

"Wanna dance?" Thesues suddenly asked her from the side and she looked at him frozen for a second . They were very close to each other and his eyes were excited and she thought for a second and shook her head while looking around at all the people around.

"Come on...it's not that big of a deal . No one's going to remember it after a month anyway , but for us ? It's going to be a lifelong memory" Theseus offered while putting his palm in front of her as a gesture for her to take his hand.

"Erm...we can't certainly dance to this song" she pointed out.

"Then let me ask them to change the song" he said and went towards a few girls who were wearing red frocks for their performance which was about to happen next to these men.

He whispered some things to them and slipped a few gold coins in their hands and they all gave him a unanimous nod , making Prylias frown at that.

He came towards her with a smile . 

"Make sure your frock stays at the place darling because it's your turn to show all the moves that you have got" He told her.

"I am bad at dancing...just know that" She told him.

"Sweetheart—I am worse, " he said with a laugh.

The girls got on the stage as the men's exist and put the mics close to their faces and started singing. 

Theseus dragged her in the center and started dancing in the center and although Pryalis was nervous she started enjoying herself to the fullest after seeing how others also joined after they started dancing.

Theseus and Pryalis looked at each other and started dancing like crazy. Their feets were stomping over each other's , but none of them cared . Pryalis swung her hand in the sky but it hit the head of a tall man behind and she turned around in shock and the man's wig fell down .

Her jaw dropped and Theseus burst into a laugh not being able to control his laugh at the displeasure clearly shown on the man's face.

"Uh–I am so –"before Pryalis could apologize, the man stormed away angrily while grabbing his wig. Pryalis looked at the departing man awkwardly and scratched her nape and turned

to look at Theseus who was still laughing at her.

"Oh come on, that's not funny at all," Pryalis mumbled with a scowl on her face but it just made the prince laugh even more as he wiped the tears of joy trickling down his eyes.

"Please shh now !" Pryalis told him while slightly slapping his arm and then froze for a second realising that she just did that to a prince.

"Oh my goddess ! I am so sorry . I didn't meant to do that" She apologized and Theuses looked at her with a dramatic eye roll .

"It's fine . Your tiny little slap didn't broke my arm away . So don't worry that much . I feel that's enough of dancing . Let's go and try our luck at the gun shooting game" Theseus told her .

"Oh what happens in that?" Pryalis asked cluelessly.

"You don't know about it ?" Theuses asked her wondering why won't Pryalis know about the most common game which happens in all fairs.

"Well...I haven't attended fairs in my whole life. It's going to be my first time" Pryalis confessed while feeling nervous to open more about the topic and as if Thesues had read her heart , he didn't pressed up the topic. He shrugged it away .

"There is a toy gun given to us , and with that we have to shoot the balloons. If we shoot all 10 the balloons in 15 tries then we will get a gift or a plushie" Theuses explained her .

"Oh..I see . What if we lose ?" Pryalis asked.

"Then we will be thrown in the prison for the next 54 years" Theseus joked and started walking ahead of her.

"But-Thesues..."Pryalis mumbled nervously while gripping on the edge of Theuses's shirt. It made Theuses stop .

Thesues turned around and looked at her with a concerned face as he saw her nervous. The song love story was being played in the background. It was soothing and couples were swaying around the dancing area.

He turned his head around to make sure she wasn't uncomfortable by the crowd.

"Yes ?" He asked her .

"Is fun really worth to risk getting jailed for years ?" She asked making Theuses question his own self for few seconds.

"Wait...can you clear your words up?" He asked her not knowing if what he heard was right or not.

"Is trying this game really worth it ? We both can end up in jail for losing and truth to be told , I have never tried shooting . I might lose" She worriedly said. She was panicking with every second taking the words of Theseus seriously.

Theseus didn't laughed at her words this time knowing that she was genuinely worried and she was unaware of the rules of this world.

"Don't worry. Nothing is going to happen. I was just joking . If we loose then we loose . Nobody is going to do anything" Thesues told her and she stared at him for a few seconds still unsure.

"Trust me. Let me show you first" saying that Theseus walked towards the counter where a couple was already present. The girl was hugging her boyfriend from behind and pecking his back as he kept shooting all the balloons one by one. 

He cringed on it and scrunched his face.

"For how many coins are 15 shots for?" He asked .

"15 copper coins" the shopkeeper told him.

Theuses put the coins from his pocket in front of the table and took the loaded toy gun. He missed all the shots to show Pryalis that it was okay to fail , but it made the girl beside him giggle.

"Look hunny , this man is no match for you . You got total 8 shots right and he got none" she sneered and it made her boyfriend's ego boost up and his chest swelled in pride.

Without saying anything Theuses put another 15 copper coins on the table with the toy gun gesturing the man to load it once again . The man did so , and Theuses started to shot each and every balloon one by one without missing any shot .

Pryalis's mouth dropped in shock. She clapped in surprise while feeling impressed by Theseus's shooting skills. 

"Woah!" She gasped.

The couple's smiling faces dropped and they both disinterestedly walked away as the girl cheered up her boyfriend. 

"Hunny don't worry that was sheer luck"

Her words made Theuses pissed , but he couldn't do much to her afterall she shared the same status as him. She was the princess of the witch kingdom and her boyfriend was the neighbouring prince . Theuses had read about them in articles as they were famous for their romantic dates and they were very open about their romantic lives.

"I know it wasn't luck ! They both know for sure too " Pryalis cheered up Theuses .

"Who cares about their opinion" Theseus told her while pretending to be be unaffected. 

"You know it's fine to be pissed . It's fine to feel things" Pryalis told him making Theuses turn his heads towards her.

"What is this even ? Life lessons with Pryalis Winslow?" Theuses asked with a chuckle feeling better after hearing Pryalis words. No matter how ridiculous they sounded to them , they worked to make him feel better. Just like they did in the morning too. He wanted to see himself with a new view , instead of the old one but he won't agree in front of her.

"If that means you are going to listen to my words carefully, then yes your highness" Pryalis said with a teasing smile while bowing down while holding the corners of her frock from the side , well aware that Thesues finds the word 'Highness ' cringe .

"Your highness, which toy will you like?" The shopkeeper asked him . Thesues stared at Pryalis for a second.

"Tell him . I don't like plushies , I just tried it for fun , so choose one for yourself" Theseus told her.

"Can I have one please" a little girl asked while holding a candy in her palm.

"Let's give it to her Theseus" Pryalis said with a soft smile which formed on her lips after seeing the cute little girl who had chubby cheeks and a baby pink jutted lips.

She kept staring at Thesues with puppy eyes with a pleading looking . Thesues stared at her in those deep eyes for a second and simply said , 

"No. Shoo away"

"How can you say that ? Can't you see how adorable she is?" Pryalis cooed.

"She is greedy" Theuses said while choosing a baby blue teddy bear for Pryalis. 

He didn't won the game for some little wolf's kid who wasn't even an omega to begin with.

The girl's eyes got teary at the rejection and she blinked her tears away while softly mumbling , "But I really wanted it"

"Thesues...she really wants it . It's unfair to not give something to a little kid" Pryalis said while crouching down to the kid's level.

"Life is unfair darling and I am more unfair" Theseus replied.

"Aww sweetheart leave this big bad vampire. Let me give you a hug" Pryalis said as she noticed how the girl was about to sob any next moment and spread her arms to give her a hug, but the kid pushed her hands away.

"I want the toyyyy!!! Not huggsss" she whined.

"Thesues Montegmory! Give her toy right now" Pryalis said with authority while folding her arms on her chest and standing up to stare at him with a glare.

Thesues sighed when he saw Pryalis with the same look his mother always have and he gave her the teddy defeatedly still not wanting to give a single cotton of the fluffy toy to the kid.

Pryalis gave that to the little girl while giving her a gentle pat on her head.

"There you go sweetheart! Have a great day" the girl gave a nod and ran away with the teddy in her arms . Pryalis then stared awkwardly at Theuses as her authoritive aur

a was long gone.

"Look...you didn't wanted it any ways. Why don't we leave this and try the Ferris wheel? I have heard from the people of my village that it's really great" Pryalis offered.

"Fine. But the rule is , you won't help any whinny kid from now onwards" Theseus told her and she gave a light nod.

"Deal" she said and stretched her pinky finger to make the promise. Theuses bit his smile and stretched his pinky finger too and they intertwined them to seal it.
