CHAPTER 49

Yoo Na took a stroll for some air as Cha Eun's father called for him, introducing him to some wealthy alliances of his. She felt like she was suffocating in the hall crowded with hundreds of wealthy people who smelled, walked and talked rich even though there was enough space to waltz around and the hall was cool not stuffy and hot, she couldn't help but feel uncomfortable and queasy.

She went to the balcony a few meters away from the hall, it was much more quiet and peaceful as she felt the cool night breeze brush through her skin.

In Ra and Da Yeon were walking through the corridors when In Ra abruptly stopped in her steps, she took a few steps backward and stared at the familiar figure standing at the balcony and she frowned for a second wondering how on earth the poor kid attended the event.

"Yoo Na?" In Ra called with uncertainty whether it was really the poor kid but her legs were imprinted on her mind because she had grown envious of how slender and pretty they were. Her doubts seized to grow when Yoo Na turned around facing them. Her face was as usual blank and those empty, soulless eyes of hers intimidated In Ra but she refused to be intimidated by her, comforting herself with her parent's money.

"This is so funny, Nam Joo whose father is a five star Michelin chef didn't get an invitation but a pauper with nothing did?" In Ra scoffed in disbelief at her own words but Yoo Na didn't react to what she said.

"Who gave you an invitation, was it Cha Eun? I won't be surprised if it was him." In Ra said, twisting her face in obvious anger and jealousy.

"Don't frown too much, you don't want to ruin your face and get another painful surgery." Yoo Na said with a flat tone and it angered In Ra more because of her poker face.

"Will you shut it! I got the surgery with my money, so the face is mine whether you like it or not." In Ra hissed in anger and Da Yeon glared at her. They both looked like angry cats about to attack their prey.

"I never said I didn't like it, in fact I love it to the extent I'm so jealous of your beauty." Yoo Na said but her expression didn't falter which made her words filled with mockery.

"Go fuck yourself!" In Ra cussed at her angrily, she had never felt so inferior in her life, but here she was been looked down on by a lowlife.

"If you're so angry that you can't beat me then stop trying so hard." Yoo Na's voice was hard and she made her message clear.

In Ra's fist tightened in anger until her knuckles turned white. She beat her with her words but she had the money which meant she had the upper hand. The game wasn't over yet, she'd make her fall down so hard she'd never be able to get back up on her feet again.

"Remember you're nothing so enjoy your time with Cha Eun while it lasts because no matter what, we'll be together in the end." In Ra stated firmly and this was the first time she found something truly funny, did In Ra seriously think she liked Cha Eun? She didn't even think of him for a split second as a man, all she thought of him as, was a golden opportunity and a helping hand in getting her revenge, nothing else mattered to her.

"You shouldn't be worried then if that's what you think because I can assure you I have no sort of feelings towards your little crush, so he's all yours." Yoo Na said immediately obviously uninterested and both In Ra and Da Yeon were confused.

"Why are you always with him then?" In Ra asked doubtfully.

"It's private but it's definitely not a highschool crush or frivolous things like that." Yoo Na said with a flat tone but even though she didn't like Cha Eun, it didn't stop In Ra from hating Yoo Na, the only person who had the audacity to talk back at her and embarrass her.

"I don't give a fuck what you're doing with Cha Eun but stay away from him if you know what's good for your miserable life." In Ra warned.

"I can't do that, so I'll just have to deal with you guys then." Yoo Na said and the girls exchanged glances as they looked at the fearless girl.

"Fine then, let's see if you'll still be alive to tell the tale." In Ra threatened as she peered her black eyes at her with a taunting smirk plating on her lips but no amount of threats could make Yoo Na flinch in fear.

"I'm not afraid of death so you should be careful because people who don't fear death are the most dangerous." Yoo Na retorted and Da Yeon shuddered at her words.

"She's so creepy, shit!" Da Yeon said as she instinctively moved back.

"I'm not creepy, I'm just dead inside." She replied calmly.

On the rooftop.....

"Yes.." Min Hye said with a small voice as she stretched her left hand, with a blissful smile on her face. Dae Hyun took the diamond ring from the glass box and slipped it into her ring finger, it was a perfect fit and Min Hye felt a wave of happiness when the ring was placed in her finger. Dae Hyun stood up, taking her hands in his and kissing the back of her palm softly.

"It's beautiful." Min Hye exclaimed as she admired the beautiful diamond ring on her finger with a big smile on her face. Dae Hyun was happy that she was happy, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him, pressing her soft body into his hard one. He locked his gaze with her as he stared deeply into her eyes before pushing his lips into hers, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed him back. They were having a passionate filled kiss when a familiar voice interrupted.

"It's not fair Dae Hyun! I liked you first and we've known each other for three years but you barely know her for half a year!" So Ra complained as she came into their view, tears filling the brim of her eyes that threatened to spill any second. She had followed them from the hall driven by jealousy and she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Dae Hyun proposing to Min Hye.

Dae Hyun wasn't surprised that she followed them to the rooftop, he was glad she did because now, he could give her the death she deserved. He had wanted to wait a week more before pushing her off a roof to her death but the timing at then seemed perfect so why not just kill her now? Dae Hyun walked slowly over to her. There was no doubt she was madly in love with him, she was miserably in love with him but he didn't care.

"You look so pathetic right now." Dae Hyun said with a hard expression and So Ra couldn't believe her ears.

"What?"

"We've worked together for three years but you don't know me at all, you only knew what I wanted you to know." Dae Hyun said coldly and she was left confused by his words, he looked different from the charming Dae Hyun she had known.

"What do you mean?"

"You were right. I'm the anonymous gift killer." He confessed and her mouth hung open in fear.

"But.. I still..love you, I don't care.." She stuttered, obviously wary of his sudden confession.

"You love Dae Hyun not the anonymous gift killer." He said firmly and her eyelashes fluttered uncontrollably as she shuddered slightly.

"No, that's not true. I love every side of you." She said with a shaky voice and a devilish smirk appeared on his face.

"Then jump. If you jump, I won't marry Min Hye anymore." He said with an assiduous expression and she stared at him like he was speaking in a foreign language.

"I'll die if I jump. I won't gain anything from dying." She said logically, Min Hye watched them as they spoke, but she couldn't make out the words as they were meters away from her.

"Wrong answer." He said and before she knew it, Dae Hyun immediately swept So Ra off her feet as he carried her effortlessly and she screamed for him to put her down as she knew he was about to throw her off the building immediately he started walking towards the edge of the roof.

She screamed at the top of her lungs as she sent futile blows on him until he reached the edge of the roof and he viciously flung her off the roof with a hard push, he watched her scream as she was falling midair towards the ground with force and her screams stopped when her body collided with the ground in a loud thud. The roof was too high up from the ground so it was a shame he couldn't see her bloody remains.

He turned to face Min Hye who had been watching in silence, her face was completely unreadable but he knew as much that she wasn't scared of him. He locked his gaze with hers and he could make out a familiar hint of emotion in her eyes.

She was aroused.
