Golden Mask Pursuit (1)

Bishop Haris opened his communication device and tried to message his friends from the Dusk criminal organization. Not long after he got a coordinate to their place. Bishop Haris feels happy because he still has someone that he can rely on when he is in trouble. Bishop Haris walked toward the location that was shown on the virtual map. Unknown to Bishop Haris, someone followed him from behind wearing the getup of a normal person and mingling between the crowd as the bishop walked toward a certain direction. It is already dawn when the sun can be seen on the horizon so it was normal that some people were already on their way to do some morning exercise or buying daily needs from the store around their location.

Bishop Haris walked through many intersections until he arrived at the area near his given coordinate. This is the area between Zahakkan Holy Empire and Grapheon Kingdom, the locals call it Syrup Town. Every area outside of the empire, the kingdom, and the principality is in the jurisdiction of the Federation in Central City. Bishop Haris has been walking for hours but he still didn't find anything weird with his surroundings. Someone has been following him from behind but it has been changed a few times already, so it won't be surprising that he won't notice anything. It has been changed from a normal uncle who want to buy groceries, another uncle who is on his way to fish on the stream outside the empire, a young girl with some group of news reporters on their way to the rural area between the empire and Syrup Town, and an aunt who is doing his usual morning activity by walking his dog around the town.

This is the frightening side and the speciality of only one criminal organization which the humanities domain call as the Darkwave. This is the most organized criminal organization in the humanities domain since a long time ago even before the Dusk was created or the Descent happened. Their trace can even be found in many history books since the 20th centuries, but it only explained that the organization is only focused on thievery and assassination. In these years where SC has been held high as the most precious currency in the universe, the Darkwave popularity started to wane because their goal didn't match the majority of the gods' favorite entertainment, so some of their members . The majority of gods give more appreciation to those who fight, participate in war, and compete in some match or tournament.

That's why the name of the Dusk criminal organization has been booming these past decade because their vision and mission are in line with the wishes of the majority of the gods such as carnage, misery, and destruction. Even though their popularity is not as high as before, the Darkwave organization still stands strong to this day, the foundation of their organization was not shaken even though many of their members had betrayed and made contracts with demons. It was because those who betrayed the organization are only an outer member who didn't know anything detailed about the real power of the Darkwave. Their inner members are still loyal toward the higher up of the organization and never have any case of betrayal, this is because the inner members are the descendants of the older generation members of the Darkwave organization.

*THOSE WHO FOLLOW THE DARK WILL USHER TO A WAVE OF A NEW ERA* was the word that was written with black, bold, big font size in one of the books a long time ago that has the trace of Darkwave organization. People didn't understand the meaning of those mysterious words, some thought that it was a joke made by the older generation to make the name of that organization known by more people, and the church thought that it was only propaganda made by the criminals a long time ago to spread their notorious deeds. Only the inner and the core members of the organization understand what it means. Many decades have passed, there are many of the core members that have many unique different powers, but only one power to be reckoned with that is always present in every era in their organization, the darkness which symbolized the leader in their organization. Their belief is almost the same as the church that exalts the power of light, but as the church believes in the holy one teaching, instead of light power, they changed the name of the power into holy power. No one knows the true strength of the core members of the organization because those who have been targeted as an assassination target by them won't live after meeting them. If the old core members can be said as capable and promising, then the core members these years can only be described by one word, monsters.

This time Bishop Haris is in so much trouble because the one who targeted him is one of the core members of the Darkwave criminal organization. The figure wears a golden cloak and a golden mask. He walks leisurely and jumps on top of the buildings evading some patrol team from the Federation that walk past the area. He's following the direction which was given by one of the organization members. It was shown on the virtual map from his communication device that has been tampered by the organization so it won't get traced by the Federation.

This is an apartment complex for the poor which was given for free for those in need by the Federation located on the outskirts of Syrup Town. The golden mask can see Bishop Haris looking confused standing outside the door of an apartment from the top of the opposite building. He looked not sure if this is the right building which was shown by his friend. Bishop Haris tries to open his communication device and contact his friend by describing the apartment in front of him.

The golden mask used his power and a gold runic crest can be seen on his hands. He opened his dimensional pocket and some things similar to dust flowed from it. The old man also picked a very small camera which was connected to his communication device that was specially designed by his organization for an infiltration mission. The old man covered the camera with his dust and formed a one eyed golden bug which hid the camera and only showed the lens as its eye. The bug flew towards the direction of Bishop Haris and landed on the back of his shirt. As everything has been set, the golden mask is waiting for Bishop Haris next action. The golden mask knows that Bishop Haris will meet with those important friends from before, they will also become his target for today, they have some juicy resource that will definitely can't be missed.

Bishop Haris gets a reply, now he knows that he is in front of the right building. Before getting inside he needed a backup plan in case those kind friends of his betrayed him. They are from the criminal organization so it was normal to be suspicious and careful of those people. Even though Bishop Haris knows that he wasn't the smartest, if it concerns his life then he will be extra careful. Bishop Haris didn't know that a small bug was on his back, he gets inside the apartment building and goes to the room written in the message sent by those people from the Dusk criminal organization. He needs protection and a place to hide for the moment, so he can only rely on them. They are his only chance to escape from the pursuit of church members.

Arriving in front of the door on the highest floor of the building, which is the 5th floor, Bishop Haris knocked on room 5505 which means the fifth building of the apartment complex, the fifth floor, and the last digit showed the fifth room. A man wearing a normal getup with a cap opened the door to let the bishop into the room. The small golden bug flew away without anyone in the room noticing and landed on top of the bookcase to get a better view of the area inside. The room isn't that big, it has a bedroom, living room, bathroom, and small kitchen. It is quite a comfortable place to live for a family with two kids.

Bishop Haris gets inside the room and sees his five acquaintances. They already changed their costumes into a normal getup. The bishop thought that it was a good hiding place for the rest of his life, at least he still had some savings to last for a few years in his dimensional pocket. With his strength it won't be hard to search for a normal job later while hiding his real identity and continue to live incognito for the rest of his life. After this, he cannot do any crime anymore or he will really be caught by the church. This place is his last hope to live a steady life, he needs to get their approval no matter what the price he needs to pay.
