Survival

I tried.

I really did.

I did my best,

but failed.

It was strenuous.

I know that.

I could have been killed.

That's what they told me.

I struggled and strained,

Wouldn't give up,

Now I'm better

and I understand.

It's better now.

I have overcome,

I was strong,

I survived.
