ch: 1 Back Home II

"Seojin can you tell me what happened in between last six months? Remember what we talked in the last session? "

The doctor asked carefully.

"Yeah...kind of... That I don't remember....the last six months... "

Seojin was both shocked and confused as he spoke those words.

"Can you try to remember? "

Jin tried to focus once more, but to no avail.

"I can't. I just cant remember. "

Jin shook his head as he once again tried to recall the time.

While Jin was realising this, both Cyril and Yeon were beyond belief of what was just happening.

"Now I am going to ask some questions. And you have to answer them without much time to think. Alright ? "

This time Dr. Han said it to all three of them together.

"What's your favorite color? "

"Blue. I guess. "

"Pink. He's always liked pink for as long as we all know him..."

"Huh? no, You must have got it confused Yeon, I never liked pink. I don't like that color at all. It's always been blue. "

Jin chuckled.

"OK. Now next question. Is there any hobby you like? Like any games or something?"

"Doctor, how are these even relevant. "

Cyril was fully confused and lost by now seeing both his hyung's strange behavior as well as hearing the doctor's strange questions.

"Of course he likes to play video games, he loves Mario a hell lot, and Maple story . He has his room full of those figurines. "

Yeon interrupted earning a surprised look from Seojin.

"Ani, I like overwatch better now. Mario isn't that fun anymore. And I don't think I liked Mario that much earlier. "

He said, slight distaste in his voice.

"But... you..."

Cyril was speechless.

"Okay, so then, Seojin would you rather kill for someone or die for someone?"

For some reason, both Yeon and Cyril expected him to answer the latter option.

It was suddenly quiet. Unlike the other questions, Seojin seemed to be pondering on this one question for a while.

"I'd rather kill for someone, than die for them "

"He'd die for someone rather than kill for them.. "

Yeon too answered at the same time.

This was not a new question. Not at all. This was a question that had been asked to them at two or three more occasions. By different people. But each time, his hyung's answer had been different than what he chose now. It was always the opposite of his current choice.

"Why do you think he used to answer that? "

The doctors suddenly turned to Yeon, while Seojin looked at him curiously.

"Hyung... Jin hyung had once said to me that it's better to give your life for someone than to take one for them"

"Of course, hyung would choose that answer any day.. right.....hyung"

Cyril finished Yeon's words as both of them now looked at their eldest hyung, the guy who had been their emotional pillar for the past 9 years..

However Seojin seemed to pause a while before he answered again....

"I don't know. . .that seems stupid.... if I die for someone, how can I assure they'll be alright after that.... I'd rather take a life than do that.. "

He was firm as he answered.

Yeon couldn't even believe anymore... if he had been surprised before, now he was plain shocked.

A few more questions were asked and each of Seojin's answers were contradictory to what the person they knew before would have answered.

Cyril was more and more lost by each question while all Yeon could do was stare at the elder, his mouth agape.

"Thanks Seojin. You can now wait outside while I discuss some of the post surgery details with these two. "

Dr. Han finally concluded his random question answer round.

"K. "

Seojin shrugged before getting up and walking towards the door.

Outside the office, the rest were sitting on the waiting seats while Christian was bringing something towards them.

"What is it Chris? "

He asked curiously as he saw the other guy carry small containers in his hand and walk towards the others.

Plopping down the small plastic containers onto one of the empty seats he straightened his shirt.

"Oh hyung, you're out. I brought some yoghurt from the dispenser nearby. Here take one "

Christian pointed towards the seat. Which now only had four left.

"Yah! You guys are too quick. "

He exclaimed as he looked at the other three who had already taken their flavors by the time Christin was talking.

"Tsk, it's okay Christian."

Seojin chuckled looking at the others who too had funny expression on their faces.

"Yeah hyung. "

With that Christian bent down to take one of the orange flavored ones while Seojin took a blueberry flavored one.

He had already opened it when he felt stares at him.

"Uh.. Jin hyung.. didn't you dislike blueberry flavor? "

Christian had a confused expression as he looked at his hyung.

"Oh right hyung, hadn't you said you disliked it enough to wish for them to stop manufacturing the flavor itself?"

Taeil he looked at Jin, eating his mango flavored yoghurt. While Jae woo was furiously nodding from his seat.

"Did I? I don't mind it though. "

Seojin shrugged his shoulders while taking another spoon of the yoghurt.

"Hey, preferences can change alright. "

Ryan spoke as he got up and walked off to throw his now empty yoghurt container.
