Cale died after writing a bad review of a novel he had read and found himself in the body of an extra who had died earlier in the novel. But nothing is as he expected. As he adjusts to his new life, secrets about himself are revealed and Cale tries to find his true identity.
Chapter 50: The New Power of Chaos Energy
With Fredrich and Perez gone, Cale became more comfortable fighting. As Jaqar's chaos monsters attacked him, Cale's ravens flew in front of him and formed a shield.
"How long are you going to run?" Jaqar shouted, killing the ravens with a punch.
Cale somersaulted backwards and dodged his kick.
"You gave us a lot of trouble when we were children. Even though I told the Black King to kill you then, he stubbornly kept you alive," he said as the chaos from his hand tried to swallow Cale like a wave.
"Am I supposed to say thank you or something?"
Cale pulled the chaos energy that swallowed him into the chaos energy in his head. He was trying to keep his mind clear while purifying the chaos energy. At the same time, he was fending off Jaqar's attacks, infecting other hunters with chaos energy and killing them.
"You arrogant bastard, I will kill you today and offer your head to the Black King!"
