The New Guy

Completed. "If you leave me like this, I'm afraid this here", he tapped his index finger on the right temple of his head and grinned, "will finally snap." ______________________________________________________ When Yoon Se Ah, an ordinary office worker, meets Lee Min Hyun, their department's new intern, she thinks of him no more than a fool in love. However, as their relationship develops, her life makes its turn for the worst, throwing her at his mercy in the end. Turns out that Min Hyun, the very same guy that was groveling at Se Ah's feet is actually a dangerous and unstable person who has been obsessed with her ever since their first encounter. And he knows the dark truth about the past she's been trying so hard to hide from everybody else. With Min Hyun's unsettling feelings, his dangerous family drama, and Se Ah's own contradicting desires, who is the actual bad guy there? And will both of them get what they want in the end? This story is about two mentally broken people who cannot give one another what they want, even though deep inside they wish they would find solace in each other, thus, although there is no "real" romance, they still manage to form their own twisted connection, and they don't really mind it. WARNING: This story contains very mature and sometimes graphic content and touches upon unpleasant and uncomfortable topics.

Lee Hwa

Their conversation had to be cut short since the visiting hours were almost over and Ah Yeon was rushed to leave, however, the things she heard from her mother about Min Hyun and the woman who was most likely his mother, kept bothering her even when they were already on their way back to Min Hyun's apartment.

For some reason, despite Ah Yeon's expectations, Min Hyun was rather quiet and simply kept driving without even as much as trying to talk her into rolling up the window.

'It was probably that phone call he received back at the hospital... I wonder what it was about.'

No matter how hard she tried, Ah Yeon still found it difficult to let the subject of Lee Hwa go, it's been a while since the last time she was this curious. She looked at Min Hyun, whose eyes were glued to the road, with a somewhat hopeful expression and finally asked,

"Lee Min Hyun, seeing my mother today got me wondering... What kind of person is your mother?"
