Daniel waved his light saber through the air. It was a unique experience using the weapon of a famous movie. After playing around for a short amount of time, he decided that it was time to test the cutting power of the energy blade.
In the movie, the energy blade was able to cut through metal and seemed quite powerful. However, this was the real world, and Daniel's creation was powered by mystical energy.
Daniel left the lab, heading towards the training grounds. He needed to test the new weapon under different circumstances. If there was issues with the weapon, he'd then be able to make modifications where needed.
When he arrived, he found Lily, Sarah, and Julie, training with their weapons and skills.
Walking towards the training dummies, he drew Lily's attention. She jogged over to him and asked, "I thought you'd be in your lab for day. Did you get bored or something?"
Her question made sense. Most people, when conducting experiments, had to go through many trials and tribulations, before a breakthrough could be made. Seeing Daniel leave the lab after a few hours, it was normal in her assumption that he may just needed a break.
Daniel smiled at her, then lifted the light saber to eye level, "Nope, The experiment is over."
Lily looked at the bladeless sword handle in Daniel's hand. For some reason, it looked really familiar. Perhaps, she had seen something like it before?
"How can you be done already? And what good is a sword without a blade?" asked Lily, as she showed a look of doubt on her face.
Before Daniel could respond, Sarah and Julie walked over after seeing the commotion.
"What's going on over here?" asked Sarah.
Lily responded, with tears glistening in her eyes, "My money is gone! All of it wasted! I should have bought fertilizer for my plants instead."
Daniel seeing the looks of confusion on Sarah's and Julie's faces, he coughed awkwardly and said, "Don't mind that crazy girl. Come, let me show you my new weapon."
He waved them over to the test dummies, and told them to step back.
With all eyes on him, he held the light saber in his hands and activated it. The multicolored blade appeared before their eyes.
Before the girls could react Daniel disappeared from where he was, and appeared directly behind the test dummy.
He then shut off the light saber, and turned to face the girls. When they were about to question what was happening, the head of the test dummy fell to the ground. It was cleanly separated from its neck. It didn't stop there though. The area of the test dummy that was singed by the energy blade started to disappear, as if it never existed.
This was also shocking to Daniel as he didn't expect that to occur. He then came up with a reason for the occurrence. Of course, he would have to use the three guinea pigs, I mean girls, in front of him to confirm his suspicions.
Snapping himself out of his thoughts, was a high pitched scream, "I want one! Daniel teach me how to make one!" Yelled Lily, as she jumped up and down in excitement.
"Sure, it's pretty easy actually." Said Daniel.
Sarah walked towards the test dummy, and started to poke the area below the parts that disappeared, she turned towards Daniel and asked, "I get why it was decapitated, but why did the burned part vanish?"
"Well, I was surprised when that happened as well. My theory is that the light saber's blade takes aspects of the energy used to power it. I need to have more people make them to be sure though." Said Daniel.
After hearing that, Sarah and Lily dragged him towards his lab, with Julie following close behind. The girls made Daniel teach them how to make the light saber. Once they saw the destructive power of the weapon, they knew they needed to get one.
Especially, when learning that it utilizes the persons own energy source. This was a major help to most Climbers who weren't mages. In the early levels, there were not many ways to utilize the energy in their bodies.
Daniel agreed to their requests. They had been kind to him, without asking for anything in return. Now he was able to help improve their strengths, which could ultimately save their lives in the upcoming challenge.
Although creating the light saber was easy for Daniel, that did not mean it was actually easy to make. The girls struggled to follow some of his instructions, and he eventually had to slowly build one with them, walking them through what he was doing in each step. He took this opportunity to record himself, as he didn't want to build a third one and waste more time in the future.
Eventually, after many struggles, all three girls had a finished product. Surprisingly, only Lily decided to build her's as a sword.
Sarah decided to create a light spear. It looked like any other spear, but instead of it ending in a metal point, an energy blade appeared when she activated it. She could then increase the size of the blade, perhaps catching her enemies by surprise.
On the other hand, Julie's weapon was a light whip. It looked like she was holding a slender metal cylinder. When she activated the weapon, an energy whip would fling out, acting like a normal whip.
When the girls activated their weapons, the color of the blade's all differed. Lily had a light green energy sword. Sarah had a blazing orange colored spear tip. While Julie had a pitch black whip.
When testing their weapons, each had an effect related to their energy. It seemed Daniel's theory on the energy was correct.
With the weapons completed and tested, the three girls thanked Daniel, and all gave him a hug. Even Julie said thanks, and gave him a quick embrace. Daniel felt that wasting his day helping them was worth it. It was nice having friends.
When Daniel returned to his room, he uploaded the pictures of the completed weapons to his website. The website he created was called, 'Science God's Workshop'. He chose the name because he planned on gaining a large following. If he could gain some fans, he could cash in on some of the free energy that the Faith God Path provided. It was not a huge concern to gather faith, but even a small amount would be beneficial.
With everything complete, he finally went live with the site. He was now open for business. Not leaving anything to chance, he decided to hack Instagram and Twitter. Yes, Instagram and Twitter, even in the future, were still a major social online gathering spot. Daniel hacked these social platforms, because he was too poor to pay for marketing. With his skills, he could make his ads reach almost every user of both platforms.
However, he decided that his ads would only be seen by those who were apart of the Climbers group. There would be no use for mortals to buy his weapons, as they wouldn't work for them.
Twitter and Instagram, had created extensions to their platforms, that catered specifically too Climbers. It carried recent news about the Tower, and everything about the most famous Climbers.
Suddenly, appearing on top of both feeds, was a new ad. It read, "Attention All Climbers! The God of Science will teach you how to make weapons! Dominate the Tower with science! Visit the Science God's Workshop today! 'Click Here' to change your fate!"
