The boys in the back of the mountain

Western coast of the Coiling dragon empire, free immortal sect's Back Mountain, bordering the western wilderness.

A natural environment paints the scene, as birds and land animals occasionally wander about the wide open area surrounded by hundreds trees a giant waterfall falling from a adjacent hill, hundreds of stone boulders stand erect blocking sunrays leaving giant shadows in the lush grass, dozens of which are destroyed leaving some rubble, others decimated into a pile of dust.

Two young boys, about 13 years old, with tall and slightly muscular albeit slim builds are sitting cross legged in front of a sage like old Daoist, standing straight gazing at the sky.

The young men seemed to be in slight pain, as bids of sweat keep dripping down their faces. An occasional gust of wind will blow past them, adding a natural taste to the serene scene.

The old man still gazing in the distance, his straight purple hair swaying at the occasional gust of wind, his slightly unkept beard giving his Daoist like appearance a more mortal look. He looks down at the boys.

his serene face softens, the Daoist lets out an apologetic smile.

''sighs... in the end, it was all for naught. Your lives will be difficult, thankfully, you have both inherited your parents' bloodlines and talents, leaving me a bit terrified of the chaos you two will cause, if only you had time to grow back then...'

As these thoughts rang in his head, the old Daoist let another sight that seemed to make him age a few more years.

"Enough!" he says. Waking the young boys from their state of cultivation.

His apologetic gaze suddenly shifts to a severe one before the boys open their eyes.

"You've both already opened all 720 meridians and are about to break through houtian foundation's hidden 12th layer, calling down the Houtian heavenly tribulation to turn your 720 meridians into primordial meridians, increase their size, energy output and the purity of your Qi, you must hurry up and breakthrough."

''soon, the Free immortal sect will open its doors to accept new disciples, you will both join the sect. I expect startling results from you two, if I hear of any embarrassing reviews, you will both spend three days and three nights holding a horse stance position inside the waterfall falling down the hill. Understood?" he says, glaring at the boys.

'Yea., yea" they say in unison as they slowly stand, soon fully upright, taller than their peers at 1,70 and 1,73m, they exude a sense of maturity beyond their years,

However, the obvious mischievous glint in their eyes does not evade the old Daoist, who suddenly, with a roundhouse kick, sends them flying dozens of meters away.

''harumph!'' the old man exclaims as he whips out a surprisingly muscular leg from underneath his Daoist robe, his countenance drastically changing as a result.

he raises his hands as if to gather Qi and push them straight down while slowly resting his foot on the ground,

"huuuue,,' he exhales and looks over at the awkwardly laid boys atop a pile of rubble.

The slightly taller one stands up first, "say, old man Dai, is it me or are you putting more and more strength in those roundhouse kicks of yours?"

"I was thinking the same thing, Kael'n", the other boy also stands,

The one called Kael'n looks at his comrade, a look of disdain suddenly raises his face. He exclaims, "he clearly went harder on me, don't know what you're crying about", he turns and gives a sly and interrogative look at old Dai, "sparing your grandkid Huh?", he says.

Old Dai looks at him, in flash of light, he sends out another kick, sending Kael'n, who spurts out a mouthful of saliva before, flying once more.

the other boy lets out an exaggerated laugh, as he holds his waist for dear help,

"Woosh" another roundhouse sends him flying as well.

Regaining his countenance once more, Old Dai looks at the bodies lying pathetically on the grass, he gives a satisfied smile, and walks away, with every step crossing dozens of meters, he quickly disappears.

"I'll be watching your performance", his calm voice comes crashing from the direction which he left, soundwaves shaking the surrounding trees and grass, rolling the bodies on the ground a few more meters away.

Kaelen stands up and goes to help his friend out." you 'kay, Rai?"

"couldn't be better", Rai says while grasping Kael'n's hand, with a pull, he stands face to face with Kaelen. He turns to look at where Old Dai left,

"Seems like will soon be finally allowed to go outside the Back Mountain", he mumbles while turning back to look at kael'n, they stare at each other for a few seconds, a devious grin suddenly rises from both their mouths.

"Hahahaha.." their laughter resonates across the Back Mountain, scaring birds and small animals away.

Thus begins their adventure
