The Multiverse Traveller

*WARNING* *WARNING* Firstly let me get this out of the way. I've already dropped 2 other fanfictions so please don't expect much. If people who have read my other works read this as well, I am deeply sorry if I drop this cause it shows I haven't learned my lesson. Apart from that, there will be no/NADA/ZERO R-18 nor Harem content in this novel there is already enough of that on this site so I don't think you need it again. Apart from that for now I am stockpiling chapters so release rate won't be regular. BE WARNED. Every 5 billion years a tournament was held, a tournament to bring rise to a Great God. The existence of such a being could bring a race to prosperity while the loss of one could bring it to its knees. Humanity had been losing for many many many years. This was already their 629th loss when they picked Jin, the man who would be their champion who they put all their hopes on. "I may die at the Grand Races Tournament but before that, I'll try my hardest, not just for myself but for all of humanity." That was his resolution that led him to the top.

Chapter 36 Battle On The Mangrove Tree

"BOOM!"

Jin immediately blasted towards Rayleigh at incredible speed. Seeing this Rayleigh simply stood there still and as Jin closed in he closed his eyes.

In less than a second Jin's hand was in front of Rayleigh's face ready to let out a burst of air, but Rayleigh didn't move, as if he wasn't scared of the attack.

Suddenly Jin's other hand blasted air towards the ground propelling him over Rayleigh and behind him. Using his right hand he then blasted behind himself and then with his left he released a quickly compressed blast of wind.

"BOOM!"

The ground in front of Rayleigh exploded, but he wasn't damaged in the slightest. The second when Jin's air canon nearly hit him, he bowed down dodging it.

"Ignorant." Rayleigh said as he kicked back hitting Jin in the gut, sending him flying. "This is the power you're so proud of? I must say it's decently impressive but nothing great." Rayleigh said as he stood up straight.

"Hm, well at least you can counter this much." Jin said as he got up from the ground. Blood leaked from Jin's lip as he got up on his two feet. "I must say, I underestimated you, from now on, I won't be holding back." Jin said as a golden mark appeared on his forehead, and golden lines spread across his body.

'One For All 100%, Golden Justice.' Jin thought before rewinding his body fixing his wounds. "Now, it's time to get serious." Jin said as he gazed at Rayleigh with impatience and some joy.

'That move he used just now, it was clearly a mimicry of Bakugo.' Izuku thought as he looked at Jin in admiration. 'I need to get stronger too.' Izuku continued on this line of thought.

"It seems the puppy has some fangs." Rayleigh stated as his fists turned pitch black. "Then let's begin, for real this time." Jin said as his hands began to gather air.

"1st Move, dual air canons!" Jin said before putting both his hands in front of himself and letting both blasts of air out. These 2 blasts shot out and converged before slamming towards Rayleigh.

"SHKK!"

Rayleigh suddenly slashed out with a sword. Immediately the blast of air cut in half and passed at the sides of Rayleigh. "Oh a wind devil fruit?" Rayleigh said as he walked towards Jin. "Call it what you want." Jin simply replied.

With that Rayleigh dashed towards Jin, he wasn't passive either though, as he also shot towards Rayleigh. In a milisecond they met in the air and Jin's fist slammed towards Rayleigh as Rayleigh slashed towards Jin's fist, cancelling out each other's moves.

Due to this they were both pushed back a bit, but that wasn't the end. Jin pointed his finger out and blasted a shot of air towards Rayleigh, seeing this, the old man simply tilted his head to the side. This wasn't the end though, as Jin began to blast multiple shots at Rayleigh at ever increasing speed.

"2nd Move never ending air bullets!" Jin announced as he continued to propell the air towards Rayleigh. "We'll see about that." Rayleigh said as he walked towards Jin dodging all the bullets.

Once he was in reach Rayleigh lifted his double edged straight sword into the air, immediately it turned pitch black. "I admit you forced me to go all out, but let's continue this. If you can survive my next 3 moves, then I'll teach all 3 of you and I'll owe you a favour." Rayleigh said as the sun reflected off of his sword.

"Sure, old man." Jin said as he looked at the sword. "Then I guess I'll take that free favour." Jin said as he began to gather air in his palms.

Soon, a few seconds passed as Jin and Rayleigh gazed at each other. "Wha-" Izuku tried to ask when Kai cut him off. "SHH, this is the pivotal moment." Kai said as he shut him up. He was right, and almost immediately, a flash passed across Sabaody.

"OCEAN SPLITTER!"

"AIR-MEHAMEHAAA!!"

They both shouted as their attacks clashed.

"BOOM!"

"BOOM!"

"BOOM!"

Shockwave after shockwave spread across the mangrove trees, even dropping Izuku and Kai. Jin's compressed blast of air, and Rayleigh's sword clashed, but suddenly, Rayleigh's sword moved to the side slicing a deep gash into the mangrove tree.

"Check mate." Jin said as he got ready to punch Rayleigh, when suddenly dust flew into his eyes. "Reverse grip." Rayleigh said as he grabbed his sword tightly and slashed diagonally.

"BMMM!"

Another deep gash had been made into the mangrove tree, creating a section which began to fall into the ocean. Jin who was currently confused by the dust and on the offensive, began to feel like he was falling back as the piece of mangrove tree he was on began to fall back.

"This is why I've never eaten a devil fruit." Rayleigh said before kicking Jin in the chest sending him flying back onto the edge of the mangrove tree.

"SPLASH!"

The section began to fall more and more into the water, and along with it Jin fell in. "I win." Rayleigh said as he turned around and began to walk away. "I suggest you 2, go take him out of the water." Rayleigh said as he drank from his flask.

Suddenly though a great splash happened from the water as a palm appeared behind Rayleigh's head. "I said checkmate didn't I." Jin said as his palm let out a blast of wind chucking the surprised Rayleigh into the ground.

Izuku and Kai looked on in shock but Izuku soon spoke. "Shouldn't we heal him?" Izuku asked with some apprehension. "No need." Rayleigh said he got out of the dirt, before sitting down and dusting himself off.

"I must say you're quite strong, you even have a chance of beating me in a real fight, but you clearly lack in actual fighting experience and basic haki training." Rayleigh said as he looked at Jin. "Hmph, says the one who lost." Jin replied.

"Well, that's only because you have a weird ability. I naturally though you had a devil fruit, but even when I chucked you into the water, you were fine. In fact, what are you?" Rayleigh asked curiously.

"That's unimportant, firstly will you train us?" Jin asked. "Of course, I promised. What do you take me for, a swindler?" Rayleigh asked. 'That's exactly what I think you are.' Jin thought as he rolled his eyes.

"Anyway, is it possible for you to teach us 3 the basics of haki in about 3 weeks?" Jin asked with some hope. "What? Three weeks? You want to learn the basics of haki in 3 weeks?" Rayleigh asked shocked. "Well with you as a teacher, anything is possible right?" Jin replied with.

"Hmm, let me think. If we do that, and this, oh and this to. Yes, it can be done, but the training will be the hardest training you'll ever face." Rayleigh said confidently. "Are you in?" He asked as he gazed at the 3.

"What do you think I did all this for?"

"Definitely."

"Yes sir!"

They each answered one after the other. "Good I like your confidence, now, go buy me some rum, I am out already." Rayleigh said as he sat there. "Huh!?" They all responded. "Are you all deaf? Go buy me some rum." He said again.

After that the 3 of them went and bought Rayleigh some rum. "So this is it? We're going to be trained by that old man?" Kai asked in doubt. "Tsk, tsk, tsk, Kai you still have much to learn, he can achieve that with his body, and he's 76. Imagine what I can do with that body and One For All, oh and haki too, you can't imagine how strong it is, and this man can teach us all of that." Jin said.

Hearing this Kai raised his eye brows a bit, and Izuku was shocked. "But you forget that his body's strength was achieved over many many years." Kai said. "Hahaha, that's why we have you, you're a cheat code. In one night I achieved 100% so in 3 weeks, we can surely achieve a couple years worth of effort." Jin replied.

Kai immediately paled when he heard this. 'I am never going to catch a break for 3 weeks, am I?' He thought as he shed a silent tear.

*Knock knock*

"Who's there?" Author asks.

"Your." Man at door replied.

"Your who?" Author asked.

"Your self, you lonely sh*t." Author replied to himself.

As you can see, I might have gone a little crazy, just kidding. Seriously though I appreciate the continued support, and it seems not everyone has left this novel, so I am quite happy.

Apart from that I hope you enjoyed the chapter, and till next time bye.

(By the way who else is excited to get into the main part of this arc????? I am serious only like 2 more chapters and it begins, don't worry)
