Chapter 150: A Game of Tennis
~Third POV~
[Later, Courtyard]
After classes ended Mash decided to check out the commotion occurring in the courtyard where Mako was chained up to a pole and surrounding her was the tennis club, each of them swatting tennis balls into the heads.
Mash released a bead of sweat as he thought to himself in an awkward tone of the scene in front of him, 'Really? Is she chained up again? What is with this school and its bizarre punishments? Death by tennis balls to the face?'
The many members of the club pounded Mako with so many balls that from so many directions that it was almost too much for her to handle but soon enough the pounding was halted when a familiar guitar case protected Mako from the balls.
Mash perked up as Ryuko sneered at the tennis club with Omiko as she confidently grinned her tone laced with arrogance, "You've come to get beat up again?"
Saving Mako from being tied up Ryuko puts a serious expression on her face holding her new glove from her homeroom teacher in a serious tone, "This is no joke. This time I have come to fight you! Let's go Senketsu!"
Using a clip from a brand-new red glove she was sporting, she pulled the pin and triggered… summoning some kind of monstrous form with Ryuko inside of its mouth. The Monster uniform then ate Ryuko and turned into the revealing costume she wore.
However, everyone exchanged glances as Ryuko's transformation was finished. The newly scantily clad girl twitched at seeing the disturbed look at her in an angry tone, "The hell you fuckers looking so creeped out for?!"
Mash being the most sensible person yelled out loud from the crowd voicing out what everyone probably thought in an obvious tone, "You're saying like watching a uniform eating its wearer to become an exhibitionist outfit isn't something creepy vore to a fuckin' bikini? That looked so damn painful you exhibitionist masochist!"
Ryuko shot a heated glare at her 'friend' denying any accusations pointing her blade at him in an outraged tone, "SHUT THE HELL UP, I'M NOT A MASOCHIST!"
Soon enough being the voice of reason Mash yelled back being captain obvious, "But you don't deny the exhibitionist woman?!!"
Ryuko growled at Mash's words but was soon put on hold as Omiko had enough of being ignored like a background character, "ENOUGH! While I agree with the second transfer student's comment. It's time for you to be once again defeated! 110 million serves!"
Omiko and the club members served a hailstorm of tennis balls toward Ryuko, who sliced them all with relative ease with her scissor blades. But suddenly Sangeyama decided to interfere explaining the rules, "Fault! You're disqualified, transfer student! True you evaded Hakodate's attack. But slicing balls in half is against the rules in a match. In other words, you've won the fight but you've lost the match."
Ryuko outraged by this yelled back at Sangeyama in an annoyed tone, "What the hell are you on about?"
Sanageyama then explained the rules of how Ryuko lost on a tennis court but soon Mako appeared next to Ryuko. The ropes that were binding her suddenly fell to the ground, and then struck a strange pose, suddenly…
[HALLELUJAH]
Mash had to blink a bit confused seeing the whole scene change as he thought to himself in a confused tone, 'What the hell is this? What's with the music? What's with those lights? I've got so many questions how this is all possible?! I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS?!!'
However, soon enough Mako said how Ryuko won with the power of friendship which led to their fight turning into a kind of tennis match of its own. But soon the ground shook revealing a big tennis court surrounded by spikes, Mash and Mako stood on the sidelines, Sanageyama was the referee, and Ryuko and Hakodate readied themselves…
Mash looking over the school and its fetishes for spikes couldn't help but ask Mako the only friend in this academy in a curious tone, "Yo Mako, what's with this school and spikes? Does the principal or Student Council President like them or something?"
Mako blinked a bit before considering the question with a shrug answering his question nonchalantly, "Oh, now that you mention it, that's kinda true… I don't really know. Maybe it's their fetish or something?"
He simply nodded to that answer considering this was a fanservice anime he wouldn't put it past them if that was the case. But soon enough the match started and eventually turned into a Tennis match of its own.
Ryuko began losing the match as all her rackets were broken Mako cheered with Mash voicing out loud, "Yo Gear Eyes, you should try using the scissor blade rather than the regular aluminum racket!"
Pausing hearing the idea with even Senketsu agreeing she grinned as she voiced to Mako in a confident tone, "That's…. a good idea, Mako scissor me!"
Mash almost spit out his mouth as he thought in a shocked tone, 'Ayo what?!!'
Mako tossed Ryuko her scissors in a cheerful tone ignoring Mash's shocked expression, "Ok, here ya go!"
Mako threw the blade at Ryuko, who caught it and resumed the match. This time she returned Omiko's serves with ease eventually overpowering her. The scissor-racket was right over Omiko as Ryuko returned the swing full-force at point-blank range.
*BAM*
*Swooosh*
*SHINNG*
Omiko paled as the ball and her racket slammed against her face and sent her flying backward. But Ryuko didn't miss the chance as she rushed forward with one slash from her Scissor Blade all it took render Omiko unconscious and into her naked body for all to see not censor as Ryuko gloated with a smug grin, "Ha! Looks like the match can't go on anymore."
Sanageyama glared down as he spoke out in an angry tone his gaze at the transfer student, "Don't get too ahead of yourself transfer student!!"
She quickly got surrounded by One-Star students till a bright light suddenly appeared above them, along with a familiar authoritative voice, "Wait, Sanageyama. The victor of the match is that girl."
The lady of war herself appeared Satsuki had stepped out of her tower and observed the match from above. She proceeded to descend from her high post and stood face to face with Ryuko as she spoke readying her blade in an angry tone, "I'll have you tell me if are you the owner of the other scissor bl– "
*SHINNG*
Abruptly cutting her off a gas appeared on her shoulder pad, which alarmed Ryuko. Her outfit was supposed to be stronger than steel itself, yet it had been severed as if it were nothing.
Satsuki unsheathed her black katana, Secret Sword Bakuzan. It was a jet-black katana that looked even sharper than Ryuko's scissor blade as Satsuki said in a neutral tone, "If you seek answers, ask the question with skill, not words."
Ryuko was on her guard, now aware of its threat as she asked about Satsuki's weapon wariness in her eyes, "The hell is with that sword of yours…?!"
Readying herself for battle Satsuki replied in a cold tone gripping the handle of her Bakuzan tightly, "Secret Sword Bakuzan. A blade of such edge that it can sever the threads of your Kamui. Prepare yourself."
*Swooosh*
No warning was needed as the student council president lunged at Ryuko and clashed swords with her. Ryuko barely had time to parry the monstrously powerful swing from the black blade.
*BOOOM*
The force of the slash was such that a large shockwave was produced, blowing many students away except for Mash and Mako hiding behind him. Ryuko felt the sheer pressure force of her attack making her eyes go wide as she thought in a surprised tone, 'H-Holy fuck, she doesn't even have one of those uniforms! I really can't take her on right now!'
Her outfit suddenly released a massive cloud of steam, momentarily distracting Satsuki. Ryuko took the chance to gain some distance away from her, already tired with Senketsu warning her in a stern tone, "Ryuko you're losing too much blood. If you plan to fight, finish it within 2 minutes. Or else you're gonna lose consciousness.'
Alarmed by the news Ryuko gritted her teeth with the sheer pressure of her attack, along with her exhaustion from losing blood, Ryuko was forced to retreat yelling at Satsuki, "Mark my words! Next time I'll finish this once and for all! Let's go, guys!"
Mako soon followed as she left the area with Ryuko. Soon the area was enveloped in a cloud of steam. When it dispersed the two girls had disappeared, leaving everyone in the destroyed tennis field including Mash as he smiled at the scene, "Well… that's something you don't see every day. I should probably go now…"
However, before he could turn to leave Satsuki's cold tone stopped him, "You there. Halt."
He paused before awkwardly turning to face the present herself, her katana as sharp as the frosty glare she was currently giving him as he rubbed his head trying to leave in a sheepish tone, "… Uh… Sorry, but I should…"
His face turned to see a bunch of students surrounding him, barring him on the path to escape he rolled his eyes in annoyance as he spoke in a bored tone, "Uh huh… Can ya tell your dogs to clear the way, I simply wanna go home and do normal things."
Soon he turned to see Satsuki glaring at him with her sword drawn ignoring his words as she spoke in a cold tone, "What is your relationship with Ryuko Matoi?"
Asked this question Mash simply replied with a shrug in an honest tone, "I'm her friend no duh captain obvious."
Satsuki's glare deepened and she brandished her sword as Mash said in a neutral tone bearing a smirk on his face, "Oh, if you start playing with me with that thing, I can guarantee you someone's gonna die."
The atmosphere suddenly thickened and the two stared at each other firmly. Meanwhile, the students were preparing for a fight to break out as Satsuki said in a cold tone her grip on her Bakuzan tighter, "Oh? And tell me, who would that be?"
Mash only expressed a smug grin and said in an honest tone as if stating a fact to her, "Who else do you think Eyebrows?"
Satsuki's right eye twitched and suddenly she charged at Mash. What she didn't know Mash's eyes followed the blade as it slowly made its way to his head, he merely sidestepped away moving his head away from being pierced.
Satsuki frowned swinging sideways, but only to miss him as he squatted down seeing the swing rise the winds seeing her panties as he mused curiously, "Huh? Blue navy panties huh?"
She glared as she swung her sword downward on the ground where he stood. But he jumped from his position only leaving a large gash on the floor as Satsuki moved her head up and spoke, "Identity yourself or be expelled by force – "
*Thud*
Her eyes soon found no one in front of her, but suddenly felt there was weight leaning on her back. Her eyes sharpened as Mash's head leaned on her shoulders yawning in a bored tone, "Ahh… as much as playing with you like this would amuse me Eyebrows, I have other things to be doing."
*Shinng*
*KLANG*
She immediately turned and swung backward, but her slash was met with a resounding clang sound her eyes narrowed as Mash blocked using the golden cross around his neck effortlessly and unscathed.
To Satsuki, it looked to be an ordinary golden color cross but to Mash, it was Add holding his Divine Construct Rhongomyniad. Mash merely smirked turning around as he left with his back turned in a nonchalant tone, "As much as I would like to continue this song and dance Satsuki, I have other matters to attend to. Let's do this another time."
He turned soon leaving as Satsuki eyes her weapon with wide eyes then to Mash's back leaving the area as she thought, 'I barely saw him move…'
She soon lowered her Bakuzan and asked for his name as he began leaving in a stoic tone with furrowed eyes, "Your name."
Waving his hand back at her he addressed himself in a calm tone stopping lightly shifting his head as their gaze locked between each other, "Mash Bastion, the [Wandering Vagabond]."
He soon paused before retreating he asked looking at her up and down invoking a reaction out from the stoic and cold Satsuk in a curious tone, "You're a real fest to the eyes you know? One can only wonder what you'd look like if you were to wear a certain wedding dress…"
Satsuki's eyes widened and paled lightly getting the hint much to his amusement grinning at the reaction saying his piece as he finally left in an amused tone, "What's with the pale expression for? For someone so uptight, you're funny Eyebrows! See you around."
With nothing more to say, he was gone. Finally left by herself to her thoughts Sanageyama asked in a concerned tone, "Lady Satsuki, are you alright?"
Satsuki stared where Mash left as she spoke to Sanageyama in a stoic tone her eyes not wandering off, "His more than he appears. He's hiding something, and I want to know what it is. Sanageyama find out what that cross was made from."
He bowed following her commands with many thoughts both had to rethink with this sudden appearance of the [Wandering Vagabond]. Satsuki on the other hand began making her way up her tower wordlessly as the students dispersed with slacked jaws, she smirked happily muttering to herself in a curious tone, "Well Mash Bastion, you certainly have caught my interest."
Let it be known that when a Kiryuin's eye catches something that interests them, they will never stop until they know everything about and perhaps possess, said something.
