Chapter 10 The way back 2

Three people are now looking warily at the person who just appears before them. The man looks like some savage who has lived his life in the forest. With a beard on his face, unkempt hair, and animal fur on his body, the man really looks like a savage in the wild.

The only thing that made him seem a bit like a person that came from a city is the rifle on his back and the revolver on his waist.

"Who are you!" shouted one of the men while he glares at Han Jin.

Han Jin showed a slight smile on his face while looking at the two men who now have their hands on the holster of their guns.

Han Jin showed a slight smile on his face. Though these guys look intimidating, he could tell that they are not that scary with regard to their strength.

"Let's waste this guy!" shouted the man beside Scarface John.

Without hesitation, the guy suddenly lifted his hand to shoot at Han Jin. But his movement did not escape Han Jin's sharp eyes which were trained for many days in the forest fighting beasts.

In fact, to Han Jin, the man's action is like a slow-motion movement as soon as his concentration was activated.

With quick reflex, Han Jin was able to react and quickly grabs two snake-tooth short knives on his back and then flings it at the man.

Bang!

Han Jin did not do any extreme dodging but he just shifted his body to the side and let the bullet pass through.

The cave was then silent after that loud sound from the pistol.

Then the man suddenly falls down on his knees while looking at the two snake-tooth knives sticking to his stomach and right shoulder.

He slowly looks at Scarface John and then at the young man as he felt his body slowly getting numb.

"Ack! Ack!" he wanted to say something but even his tongue he could not feel anymore.

"Hmm… The effect on weaker ones is almost instantaneous…" Han Jin muttered with a playful smile.

This time Scarface John became wary and knew that he has encountered someone formidable.

As a mercenary and a poacher, he has that keen sense against those that have the same skill set as him especially those that are stronger than himself.

Usually, he would feel this way about Class-B people in which he knew that he would surely die once he fought against one.

And the young man before him seems to be someone like that.

"Who are you?" Scarface John suddenly asked as he positioned himself in a fighting stance.

Though he could feel the man's intimidating aura, he is a warrior after all, and a well-known fighter at that. The thrown knives might have been fast, but he is sure that if it is aimed in his direction, he would be able to dodge them like he is able to dodge bullets.

Yes, that's right. The reason why the woman almost uses all of her bullets a while back when they were chasing after her is that… he is able to determine the bullet's trajectory and was able to dodge them efficiently.

And because of this set of skills, he is confident that he would not lose to this savage-looking guy.

When he did not receive any answer from the man before him, Scarface John decided to act.

Without hesitation, he suddenly pulls out his revolver and shot twice.

Bang! Bang!

Han Jin was taken aback by the speed that the man draws his gun. As this happens, his mind suddenly kicked into overdrive and his blood began to pump faster.

With this, his reaction speed was activated and everything suddenly began to move in slow motion.

With his constant application and increase in his speed and agility using Chi, he is now at 20 kph in his normal actions. This means that his reaction speed is almost twice a normal person's, as his muscles could now react more efficiently with his brain's reaction time.

Usually, a person has a reaction speed of around 0.15-0.25 milliseconds. However, that is the speed of the brain's processing and the body would react slower. But if a person becomes a Class-B or Class-A, the reaction time and body speed of reaction would then become closer, or it might even be the same.

So with regards to movement speed, Han Jin's body has already increased up to around 20 kph normal speed which is already faster than normal people.

With that, Han Jin was able to dodge the incoming bullets as he moved his body rapidly creating a slight blur. But of course, his dodging speed is not as fast as those Class-B people.

Swoosh!

In the midst of dodging, Han Jin suddenly flicks his hand and threw a knife at his opponent.

A slight smug smile appears on Scarface John after firing the two shots, but that smile slowly disappears when he noticed that something hits his thigh.

Suddenly, he could feel a slight numbing pain coursing through his leg.

Without hesitation, he quickly jumps to the side and then removes his belt. He then quickly tie his leg trying to prevent the poison from invading his body.

"Damn you! You're a coward for using such tricks!" he cursed out loud after tying his leg.

"Hmm… Really?" the calm voice of the savage-looking man enters his ears.

He gritted his teeth and peeks out of his hiding place behind a rock.

However, as soon as he peeks, he was met with a grinning face that is already also looking straight in his eyes.

This startled Scarface John as his hand moved to his gun wanting to shoot the man.

But before he could even press the trigger, the gun is already in the man's hand. And no matter how hard he presses the trigger, it would not fire.

As he looks at the revolver, he could see that one of the man's fingers is blocking the hammer from striking.

"Damn you!" he cursed under his breath and quickly grabs the knife on his back.

But before he could do so, he suddenly felt his body stiffening.

That's when he knew that he was already inflicted with the poison.

"What… What did you…" he wanted to ask but his tongue also became paralyzed.

"Hehe… Surprised right?" Han Jin chuckled as he removes the gun from Scarface John's hand.

He then proceeds to tie up the two men and then began to strip them off their clothes. He also removes the hidden weapon from their bodies while he is at it.

While Han Jin is doing this, the woman on the side just watches with fear in her eyes. She knew that this guy is not like the two men. He is faster and stronger than them. He might even be a Class-B being… someone she could not fight, even if she has many guns in her hand.

After stripping the two, Han Jin looks at the woman and then showed a slight grin on his face.

"Are you alright… Miss?" he asked.

The woman just looks at him with a dumbfounded expression.

"Hey… Are you alright?" he asked again seeing the stupefied woman.

"Ye… Yes, thank… Thank you for saving me…" she replied feeling a bit confused and at the same time anxious.

"No worries… it's been a while since I saw people in this forest… So it might have been providence… I am Han Jin by the way…" he said while still squatting on the ground and gathering the stuff of the two men.

"I… I am Yang Wenxhi…"

"Hmm… Judging from your name… You're from northeast of Yoon?" he asked while pondering.

"Umm… Yes, my family came from the City of Chang near the sea border to Halo Land…"

"Oh… That place has very cold weather, right?" he suddenly asked with interest.

"Yes… That's the reason why we migrated here in Central Yoon…"

The two began to talk after Han Jin prepares dinner. He even feed the two guys who were tied up pretty nicely by him on the side.

After eating dinner, he excused himself.

"I think I need to change out of this…" he thought as he chooses between the clothes of those two men.

He walked a few distances and was guided by Onyx to a nearby small stream which is a few hundred meters from the cave.

He carefully checked the two clothes and chooses the one that fits him perfectly. He even cleaned it before wearing it.

Using a slight amount of Chi, he is able to quickly dry the washed cleaned clothes.

After he change his clothes and clear out his beard with a knife, Han Jin looks at himself in the mirror and nodded as he could see his clean self again. Though the night is dark, the dim light of the moon is enough to illuminate the surroundings and enable him to see himself.

"Did I just become… more handsome than before…" he muttered narcissistically.

He then chuckled at himself while shaking his head.

Suddenly, the face of Onyx appears on a nearby tree.

"Hmm… Young Jin… I think you should know that… the woman. She has already escaped, and the two men… are dead. She killed them." he said.

When Han Jin heard this, he was a bit stupefied. He did not kill those two men as he felt a bit conflicted about killing his own kind.

Though he is able to hunt animals, killing another person is another thing.

But he still needed to check things out, so he decided to walk back inside the cave.

As soon as he enters, he could already smell the faint scent of blood inside the small cave.

Though he feels conflicted, yet upon seeing the two bodies with their necks slit, he feels a bit weird.

Han Jin just shakes his head to dispel the thought in his mind and quickly drags the two men out of the cave.

He digs up some dirt and buried the two men then covers them up with rocks.

It was already morning the next day when he woke up and continues with his travel back to a nearby village.

Last night, according to, that woman, named Yang Wenxhin, there is a village near this place called Awan Village. He needs to go there to be able to ask for more direction and go back to the army.
