The Makaris (2)

The serious working Jaya and the one playing around were two completely different person. While the playful woman would chaste after anything that caught her attention, be it man, woman, animals or food, the serious businesswoman was strict and highly efficient.

Just as she promised, a part of the makaris arrived a few days later. Since it was the force that Jaya hadn't officially introduced yet, they decided to build a small camp by the river, rather than entering the city. The first time she saw the group, Arianell was amazed by their diligence, which reminded her of an imperial army, rather than merchants.

They were loyal to their master and did everything without question. The trust, that Jaya built up over the years, has finally come to fruition. With their help, the orchard was cleaned in a single day, while Arianell, Jace and Lester could harvest only one tree at the same time.
