Countess Seaton was born in the House of Darcey, she had one older brother and one younger sister. Their family wasn't influential or rich, they were just the local noble household in the countryside.

Everything changed one day when the young crown prince travelled across the country on inspection. He fell in love with the youngest daughter and the family suddenly ended up in the spotlight. 

The late king and queen were still mourning the death of their oldest son, and at least wished their second child would spend the rest of his life with the partner he chose. They approved the relationship, but the same couldn't be said about the aristocrats. They loathed the fact that the future queen wasn't one of the capital refined nobles since the start.

While the daughters of House Darcey were gifted with the natural charm, class and high emotional intelligence, the men in the family were the complete opposite and would embarrass their bloodline on every occasion.
