The Monstrous King and his sweet Evil Queen

In the mysterious realm of Kalvon, where shadows whispered tales of Kings and Queens, none were as infamous as King Jetaime. Whispers echoed through the cobblestone corridors and darkened chambers of the palace, painting a macabre portrait of a heartless sovereign scarred by the cruelty of fate. His legs, so the tales spun, were lifeless appendages, and his face, a grotesque canvas of boils. His was a visage that struck terror into the hearts of those who dared imagine it. Yet, destiny took an unforeseen turn on the eve of a grand wedding night. Princess Jaelyn, cursed and hidden away within the confines of Malavon Castle, was the unwilling pawn in a malevolent game of power. Her name, synonymous with evil, and her every step marked by the devil's touch. However, as she stepped into the grand hall to meet her monstrous groom, a man emerged before her, shattering the grotesque image painted by gossip. King Jetaime stood not as the rumored monster, but as a vision of unexpected sweetness, love, and undeniable handsomeness. The discrepancy between the tales and the reality sparked a whispered question in the minds of those who witnessed this surreal union — had she unwittingly married an imposter, or were the rumors nothing more than twisted fragments of a darker imagination? As King Jetaime and Princess Jaelyn embarked on their tumultuous journey, the chessboard of power and revenge unfolded. Locked in a dance of secrets and hidden motives, the two found themselves entangled in a love that defied the expectations set by the world. The King, who had never allowed anyone close, now placed his heart willingly in her hands. Princess Jaelyn, driven by the flames of vengeance, found an unexpected ally in the man she was supposed to despise. Together, they navigated the treacherous waters of courtly politics, facing a power struggle fueled by conspiracies that threatened to tear them apart. In the battle between love and destiny, the question lingered like an ethereal mist — was their connection a mere human maneuver or a divinely fated love? As the story unfolded, the narrative wove a tapestry of twists and turns, challenging the very essence of their existence. Could love truly conquer all things, or were some cases destined to be eternally hopeless? Two empty hearts, two lives devoid of love, collided in a dance of darkness and light. A monster king and an evil queen united to become one, their journey unfurling like a forbidden scroll. The world watched with bated breath as the saga unfolded — a tale of love, betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of a destiny that defied the predetermined life. Cover by Java graphics.

A reality escape

Jetaime follows Byron as they exit the training ground. Lyn and Moesha followed shortly after. Madam Yina and the rest of the maids await them at the entrance.

"Look how messed up you are, my queen. You have mud all over your hair. Not dignified for a queen," Madam Yina complains.

"Come on, I will take a quick shower and I'm back to the status of a queen, dignified and smiling around even when I don't feel like it, it's much rather exhausting than swinging the sword," Lyn grins as Madam Yina stares at her, she doesn't know how to tell her she will be taking the full role and duties of the queen. Managing the entire palace and the palace treasury,

"Let's get you out of these clothes first, then we will start our lessons, " Madam Yina muttered.

"Lessons, what lessons?" Lyn asked, surprised, not quite sure what she was talking about.

"Yes lessons, you need to learn how to manage the palace, my queen. It's your national duty," Madam Yina said.

"Ah, Consort Suva so enjoying performing all those duties so let her take care of it, I can't even manage my life talk about an entire castle as big as this one," Lyn chuckled as they walk back to the king's bed chamber.

"But you are the queen, and now that..." Madam Yina halts, she doesn't want to pressure or worry the young queen but she needs to perform her duties not only I the bed chamber but also in the palace and the empire as a whole.

"Now that the King has decided for you to be in charge, " Madam Yina announced. "Why? Consort Suva was doing it just fine, " Lyn argued.

"Because you are the queen and you have already been in the palace long enough to know how things run here," Madam Yina lectures trying to make Lyn take it seriously but she doesn't give a damn about it.

Tiredness was a trifling word to describe bone crushing pain Lyn was feeling. Training with Jetaime was exhausting, but finally, she was in the bed chamber, she took her bath and changed her clothes.

Lyn expected to take a nap to pacify her heart, but alas! Madam Yina slammed the table with a pile of account books for her to review.

Lyn looked at Madam Yina as if she was speaking in a parable. "What do I do with this?" Lyn asked right now. Madam Yina was standing between her and her destination, a good nap.

"These are all the expenses of the palace, they include silk, jewels, and spices order, no you need to calculate all the amount and issue payment, " Madam Yina instructed her on what to do.

"But why??"

"Because you are the queen," Madam Yina said with a grin.

"I finish this, and you leave me alone. Being the queen is so boring," Lyn negotiates.

"Well, it will depend on how well you perform, they're other books you need to review first. You need to learn hosting among some etiquette," Madam Yina said, watching Lyn's expression. It was obvious she didn't have training in any of that. The little she knew, she thought about herself or what her grandmother thought of her while she was still alive.

"You will leave me alone if I finish this, right?" Lyn asked to confirm, and Madam Yina smiled, meaning yes.

Lyn was smart, she flip through the pages and did a few calculations going through the account books one after the other while Madam Yina stood there and watched her nod her head. She was doing a pretty good job.

"Moesha," Lyn whispered as she came running to her aid. "Should I get you out of here?" Moesha asked, giving Madam Yina a glare. Of course, she would.

"My queen..." Madam Yina, ready to protest. "No, get her a chair. She has been standing for too long," Lyn hissed as she went back to reviewing the books.

Madam Yina smiles as Moesha brings a chair for her so she can sit and watch the queen. After a while, Lyn was done with the account books.

"Okay, here you go, these few ones don't seem right. The amount doesn't tally with what was supplied, so have them check it." Lyn said as Madam Yina checked the books. It was neatly done. She couldn't be more proud.

"Yes, my queen, " Madam Yina smiles. "Now please leave me alone," Lyn hissed, falling on the bed.

"Yes, your highness, lunch will soon be served," she added before leaving, meaning she would be back soon.

The rest of the dag went by so quickly, Lyn couldn't step out of the chamber because of the bomb he dropped this morning Jetaime knew he has to watch his back. At least the queen can walk around once everything cools down, Lyn now understood why he asked her to be good and listen to Madam Yina.

Lyn was practicing the few moves she learn in the morning, Jetaime walks in unannounced, it was his bed-chamber, and he doesn't need announcing. He was watching from the door, he was highly impressed seeing Lyn's calculated moves, he was especially amazed at how she flawlessly moved the sword.

The light from the candles was glorifying her magnificent black eyes, Jetaime couldn't help but be lost in them. "You're back," Lyn finally sensed an aroma.

"Yes," her sweet voice brought him back to reality.

"You really want to learn how to fight?" Jetaime asked not knowing why.

"Yes," Lyn hissed. "But why? Is it because of what happened last night?" Jetaime wanted to understand, how scared she was but she is not showing it, she is showing no fear at all but he could tell she was affected which make which he could kill those responsible all over again.

"Yes, I'm not the type that waits on others to protect me. What happened last night can't happen again besides I was caught off guard," Lyn mumbled

Jetaime felt there was more to it, but there was a time in his life he vow to protect himself and not wait on others so he did connect with her on a different level than she could imagine. "I will train you then," Jetaime said and he was damn serious about it.

"You mean that?" Lyn was excited. "Yes, it will be hard but I have no doubt you can do it. Every night starting tomorrow at our special place, the secret terrace, " Jetaime mumbled as Lyn smiled. She was all in.

"To celebrate that I need to take you somewhere," Jetaime hissed as the idea came to mind.

Lyn was all in, and Jetaime made her change her outfit to a simple dress, Jetaime decided to go out for the first time without his mask. Of course, they were sneaking out. Byron and Moesha came along as well.

"You look like a human, a charming one for that matter," Lyn complimented, it wasn't the first time she saw his face without a mask, but in simple cloth, he looked like a normal person and not someone heavily troubled with the entire empire on his back.

"You look amazing in anything, " Jetaime smiles at Lyn. "Hmm..." Byron clears his throat.

"Can we leave before someone sees us?" Byron added.

"Shall we!" Jetaime asked as he takes Lyn's hands. The four of them escape the palace.
