Vibranium

Charles was trying to create Nanobots out of Vibranium while VERONICA was trying to assist him also trying to figure out the reagents which grants Hulk his super strength and extremely durable body.

"Master, It looks like the Gamma Radiation actually oscillates the restructuring process so much while you are going through the changes of the Hulk's serum, that there is a one in a million chance that the entropy of your DNA molecules will allow you to absorb the energy from the Quantum Realm and become Hulk. We can't just use gamma radiation with the serum and expect a Hulk every time. Depending upon the location of each molecule in the entropy, the result may vary."

"Hmm" was all Charles said to acknowledge Veronica's findings as he kept working on the Vibranium.

A few hours later, he called Maria to ask her how her day was going.

He had to keep up the appearances and what Maria told him was within his calculations.

"I'm sorry, Augustus. But I won't be able to come home today, In fact, I will be busy the whole week, The entire Manhattan is aggrieved and we have to quickly clean up all the alien debris.

Fury is also fighting with the Council for approving a Nuclear warhead, risking millions of American lives.

There is also the matter of Hydra…" Maria didn't continue to say anything more but she hoped that Augustus would understand and sure enough, he did.

"Please take care. Don't overwork yourself"

After saying their pleasantries, Charles again went to work.

"Master, our Vibranium reserves are depleting. I think we should try to create it ourselves. I mean, we already know its molecular structure, right?"

"Veronica, just knowing the molecular structure isn't everything. There is a reason why Vibranium can absorb almost every attack.

In history, only one man could create Vibranium and he became a god! There is also a factor of Proto-Adamantium, which Doom used with the Wakandan Vibranium but we don't have Adamantium in this world."

VERONICA was taken aback, it was almost as if Charles knew everything! Up until now, his every order had a reason behind it, his every action seemed as if it was well thought out and it almost felt like he was the reason everything was happening, or you could say, he was manipulating everything.

'Master is a God' she thought and continued to work on creating a Vibranium Nanobot with Charles.

"Master, Tony Stark is calling you" Suddenly came Veronica's voice.

"Accept the call" replied Charles without ever looking away from the Vibranium.

"Hey Charles! How you doing?" came Tony's voice.

"I am doing fine. Brother."

"And did you check up your bodies for any ruptured veins or foreign contaminants?"

"I did, Tony, thanks for asking. I am perfectly fine."

"That's great to hear. Hey listen, I have sent you a gift right now, and it must be arriving shortly. Please check your terrace."

Suddenly, Appledore's alarm went off and Veronica immediately understood everything. There was a package that was dropped on the terrace by the Iron Man suit just now, which enabled the alarm, but Veronica being an intelligent AI understood that it was the gift Tony Stark was just talking about, and after carefully scanning it, She transported it to the lab where they were working.

"I hope you like it, Charles." Said Tony as he hung up the call.

Charles went up to the package and knew exactly what was in it.

And sure enough, after opening it, there was a black metal box and a small wooden box on top of it.

Charles opened the wooden box to find a black and gold watch in there and when he wore it on his wrist, it immediately calibrated itself with Charles pulse rate and heartbeat and a hologram appeared above him which said "Welcome, Mr. Magnussen."

Clicking on the side of the watch, it immediately transformed into a black repulsor hand glove.

'So he is successful in using the nanobots with the Acr-reactor. Sure enough, the genius who invented time travel.'

After seeing all the functions of the watch, Charles removed the watch from his wrist and double-tapped on the black metal box and it soon started to open up and climb up on Charles at a rapid speed.

Within 10 seconds, an improved version of the Iron Man Armor in a black metallic color that Tony used in the war was standing at the place of Charles.

"Welcome, Mr. Magnuseen. I am JARVIS and I advise you to please listen and see to my instructions carefully."

"Sure Jarvis" replied Charles with a smile as he listened to Jarvis explain to him the use of the Iron Armor.

"Also, Mr Magnussen, Mr. Stark has also stored within me the process of building a mini Arc Reactor. Please use it wisely."

It was all within Charles's expectations. One of the reasons for using a crappy piece of repulsor with an iridium battery at the war was to make Tony feel guilty about him not sharing his research with Charles. Although they were very good friends, he had still guarded the research of his advanced weapons and the Arc Reactor from everyone.

It was understandable, honestly, as one of the most trusted people in Stark's life, Obadiah Stane had betrayed him and used his invention to reap innocent lives, and he didn't want to be a part of it ever again.

But looking at Charles's self-sacrificing moment in the War, Tony was moved to tears from guilt and he decided to gift his research to the one person in his life that he started to truly trust after Pepper.

Charles thanked JARVIS as JARVIS handed the controls for the armor to VERONICA, who scanned the entirety of the armor and the watch and then simply stored it in a safe.

Charles obviously didn't wanted Tony's suit, but what he wanted was his future research.

Tony Stark was a genius at the level of Dr. Doom, and he had unlimited potential of new and advanced tech that Charles coveted, such as the time machine.

"By the way, Is the bug still not sending any signals?" Suddenly asked Charles.

"No Master. Maybe there is a force field around Asguard that is preventing its signal, or maybe the Asgard is too far and the signal is either taking its sweet time or got corrupted.

Or there is also a fat chance of Asgard discovering the bug." Responded VERONICA casually.

Charles had placed a nanobot on Thor, as well as on Loki before they departed for Asgard but those Nanobots have yet to send any coordinates or images of Asgard.

It had been a week and the Vibranium nanobots were finally ready.

Charles was currently in S.H.I.E.L.D because Fury had asked him to drop by.

"Hey Charles, How are you doing?" Asked Fury as he greeted Charles and nodded at Maria, after which the three of them started to walk.

"So, Why am I needed?"

"You remember the Sceptre which Loki left us? The one you researched on?" Asked Fury as they entered his office.

"Yeah, the one with the power to influence the mind." Replied Charles as he started to predict what Fury might have to say to him.

"Well, the reason I had wanted to meet you today was that somehow the Hydra disappeared with it."

'Of course, they did!'

Nick Fury wasn't supposed to notice this until it was too late, until Wanda Twins had converted into Scarlet Witch and QuickSilver, but it seems like his interruption with the plot made Fury desperate.

Now he will actively look for it and soon when he finds it, he will summon the Avengers to raid the Hydra facility where they were kept and would retrieve the Sceptre.

"I ask you again, Charles. How did you know about the names of the people who are undercover HYDRA agents in our S.H.I.E.L.D?

I am keeping a close eye on the people you mentioned in the list and I know for a fact that none of them ever came in contact with the Sceptre, So please, tell me."

Charles looked at Maria first, and then at Fury and finally sighed and said

"I was retrieving some information for a client in South Africa when I heard about one Erik Killmonger.

I noticed this guy who had numerous scars on his body and he was acting extremely out of place."

Fury scrunched his eyebrows at this. He had never heard of this name but since Charles was telling him, he listened carefully.

"I followed him out of curiosity, and soon found that he was meeting with Alexender Pierce. The names I gave you were all with him that day as his bodyguards.

Anyways, At that time I didn't know who they were so I just listened, and what I listened just shocked and confused me."

By this time, both Fury and Maria were listening to Charles as if he was chanting the Holy Gospel which had the secrets to Nirvana.

"I heard them discuss about Vibranium. That Wakanda has a lot of Vibranium and Erik Killmonger, who was a citizen there, and would soon be the King after the current King, T'Chaka is assassinated, and his son, T'Chala, is taken cared of. He will sell copious amounts of Vibranium to Hydra for their help in the King's assassination."

Fury was gobsmacked! Fucking What?

"Vibranium!? The indestructible material used by Captain America!? What the fuck!"

This was simply unbelievable for Nick Fury.

Although he knew about the sovereign nation Wakanda, as its King sits at the world council and Tony had asked him about scouting their kingdom, but he could never imagine that they had Vibranium! He thought that Tony might have discovered some nuclear veins in Wakanda and he wanted to mine them but this?

Maria immediately started searching who this Erik Killmonger was and Charles could only laugh at these fools.

He very easily diverted their attention from the Sceptre to Wakanda.

I mean, of course they will be interested in a material from which they can make indestructible weapons and military gadgets more, than a Sceptre who they didn't even know the use of.

Immediately, Maria found some information on Erik Killmonger.

"Boss, look at this. Erik Killmonger, age 34, Worked as a mercenary for the CIA and Interpol for a few times. His background is shrouded in mystery and so is the information about his family."

"Well, you obviously don't need me now, So I will see myself out, I guess." Said Charles as he started to walk away but soon felt Maria giving him a tight back hug.

Turning around, he saw Maria's face which was restless, but had gratitude in the eyes, and maybe something more.

She quickly gave him a kiss as a thanks and Fury had to cough twice to tell them that he was right here.

"Thank you...For everything." She said as Charles nodded and went away.

Tony was working on his new Bleeding Edge Armor when suddenly he got a call from Nick Fury and soon he flew out of his Tower towards S.H.I.E.L.D's base.

Wanda was hopeless.

She was in a cell made out of glass where she was kept, and just beside her, there were multiple cells with different people in them.

They were tortured everyday!

Every day, they would come with that Sceptre and would insert whatever liquid they wanted in them through their veins and then used that Sceptre on them.

Every day, she would see her brother and so many others like her scream in agony while she drank her tears and endured the same.

She had no hope left in the society, the one which caters to murderers like Tony Stark and makes them a Hero.

From an early age, she was alone.

Her family was very conservative so she had few to none friends but even her parents were snatched away from her with the weapons made by Stark and then she and her only family, her brother were kidnapped by these crazy cultists who called themselves scientists and tortured them on a daily bases.

She could feel that every time she came in contact with that Sceptre, it was trying to tell her something, it was trying to give her something but she concluded that she was finally going crazy.

Wanda was staring out of the window, and into the forest. She liked doing this. The only good thing about her cell was that it was closer to the only open window in this prison.

Suddenly, she noticed that there was a human in the forest who was staring at her.

She tried to concentrate but she couldn't see him very clearly and then he came a little closer and vanished.

'Was that just my imagination?' She thought as she kept staring out of the window for another half hour, but that man didn't appear again.

'He looked….Familiar' She thought.

She was almost certain that she had seen him somewhere when the prison bell rang and the next good thing happened.

It was Monday and so she could choose another book from the library.

Charles was on fire right now.

He was in the underground basement facility of the Appledore where he was practicing his Fire abilities.

Since his bones and flesh were nigh indestructible on earth, he could keep on increasing his temperature until he would start melting the concrete under his foot.

This was one of Charles's exercises to improve his Extremis control, as well as his powers over fire and Krav Maga.

Charles was completely naked right now as he didn't have a Suit made out of Vibranium yet and he couldn't risk his Suit made out of nanobots being burned to ashes.

Looking at Charles practice, Veronica was feeling some kind of way.

These feelings were relatively new to her and she just couldn't look away.
