Hudson’s POV
The pack mind, a constant symphony of thoughts and emotions, suddenly falls silent. A chill runs down my spine as I realize that something is terribly wrong. The connection I share with the pack, the Alpha's dominating presence in my mind, abruptly vanishes. It's as if a door has been slammed shut, leaving me in a deafening silence that feels both alien and unsettling.
Vesper, the Gamma, turns to me, her eyes filled with uncertainty. "Hudson, what happened? Why can't I hear the Alpha anymore?"
I shake my massive wolf head, a knot forming in the pit of my stomach. "I don't know, Vesper. This isn't right. Something's off."
We both know that the likelihood of Thea overpowering the Alpha is near impossible. The silence in the pack mind is ominous, a foreboding signal of an impending crisis. Panic wells up within me as I desperately try to make sense of the situation. Thea's safety is my paramount concern, and the uncertainty gnaws at me.
