Thea’s POV
The moon casts an eerie glow through the dense forest as I stumble backward, my once-pristine wedding dress now a tattered mess. The edges catch on the underbrush, impeding my progress. Panic courses through me, my breath catching in shallow gasps. Each time I attempt to move too quickly, the Alpha's knife presses harder against my skin, a cruel reminder of my captivity.
"Where are you taking me?" I manage to choke out, my voice trembling with a mix of fear and defiance.
The Alpha chuckles, the sound sending shivers down my spine. "To the border, my dear. It's time for a change of scenery."
I glance around, trying to make sense of the unfamiliar surroundings. The moonlight filters through the thick canopy overhead, casting shadows on the forest floor. The Alpha drags me along, his grip unyielding.
"Why the border?" I inquire, my voice steady despite the fear that coils in my chest.
