Where Was She

He didn't reply to her question and kept moving them forward. He just glanced back and gave her a gentle smile.

Did he not hear her? Lucy was sure he'd very much hear her.

Her eyes went back to the crowd as he led her out of the front door.

There was still no sign of Greg. Where was Greg? Had he really left without her? Panic gripped her heart. And where was Jai taking her? He was surely taking her out of the bar. Would he give her a ride back to Greg's place? What if Greg wasn't home yet? And what if he was still here and would start looking for her?

And another unprecedented thought interrupted the many questions in her head. What if Cedric came after them?

As they left the bar, Lucy couldn't help but clutch at Jai's hand. Despite not knowing where he would take her, she'd rather prefer to be with him instead getting caught again by Cedric.
