Lucy stared at him speechless, unable to react. Why did she even think of trusting him? He would surely put her in more trouble, there was no doubt to that. "I– I don't want to go back there."

"We have to," Greg muttered simply. "Didn't you say I've ruined everything." He gave her a fleeting glance. "Now, it is time to make things right."

Lucy gasped and she quickly shook her head. "No, you can't take me back. You can't go there with me. I'm begging you, please turn around."

There was no way she would allow him to take her back. Going back to the mansion especially with him would only worsen matters. Was he even in his right mind? If he didn't care about others life, at least he should consider himself. Who knew what her father would do if he saw him. Even though he wasnt afraid if anything, still he was supposed to understand the enormity of the situation.
