Take Me With You

Greg's fists loosened at the sight and something pulled at his heartstrings. He lost all sense if composure in that instant and he staggered forward.

His hand shook as his fingers reached forward to grace her cheek. Shit! She was crying and in pain. He carefully tucked the hair that covered her cheek away and his heart kept tightening as more streaks of tears revealed themselves. Her brows furrowed now and then and her face was twisting in pain. She was mumbled some words in her sleep. Incoherent words that seemed to be the source of her nightmares.

"Lucy." His voice came out strained. It almost sounded pain. A reflection of the strange feeling currently tugging at his heart.

He lowered himself on the bed beside her and found himself carefully wiping the tears even as they continued flowing.
