Is this guy stupid?

Nikolai was going to explain without letting his two daughters argue any more.

"Girls, look..."

But before he could even begin to speak, someone unauthorisedly opened the door to the room and entered.

Realising that the intruder was a captain in his guild, Nikolay shouted angrily.

"Daniel, how dare you!"

As soon as Nikolay shouted, a heavy pressure fell on the environment so that Daniel had difficulty breathing.

"Sir, I have an urgent matter to report to you."

Nikolai looked Daniel up and down, looking serious.

"It had better be something really important!" 

Daniel was overwhelmed by Nikolai's pressure, but he continued to speak with determination.

"Yes, sir! Something unexpected happened today while we were training with our newly acquired firearms!"

Nikolai's expression suddenly changed.

"What happened? Did something happen to the weapons?"

Daniel shook his head "there is no problem with the weapons, sir, but one of the men without star power who used the weapon..."

Nikolai waved his hand angrily, not even waiting for Daniel to finish.

"Did someone die? I don't care about that! Someone dies every day! Is that why you bothered us!"

"No, sir! One of the men using firearms has awakened the star power!"

Nikolai was stunned, thinking he had misheard.

"What did you say?"

"Sir! Someone has awakened the star power!"

Senna jumped up, knocking over his chair.

"How could that be! The men we chose to wield the firearms were ordinary men! Every single one of them a failure at the awakening ceremonies!"

Elsa nodded at her sister, "Yes, that's impossible! Everyone knows that people who fail the awakening ceremony have no chance of ever awakening their star power again!"

Daniel stated decisively.

"You're right, but that man was awakened! I'm sure of it!"

Nikolai was intrigued to see that Daniel was so sure of himself.

What if someone really did have an awakening?

"Take us to the man you claim has awakened."

"He's already here, sir! He's waiting just outside the door."

Brain is a 20 year old passerby. 4 years ago, when his village was destroyed after a bandit attack, he wandered among other surrounding villages and finally found himself in the blood adventurer settlement.

He somehow managed to survive in the blood adventurer settlement by running errands, chopping wood, and cleaning the streets, but one day he saw an advertisement on the square board that they were looking for people who had not awakened their star power to hunt the star beast.

"They're hiring people without star power?"

"They must be looking for live bait!"

"Whoever accepts this job advert must have a death wish!"

Brain agreed. This advertisement was like a death sentence to him, but he walked to the centre of the compound with determined steps to accept the job in the advertisement.

Why?

Money! Money is the only reason!

Ten silver pieces a day! That was a lot of money for him!

...

After leaving the job reception area at the campus centre, Brain sighed in distress.

There were dozens of people like him at the job reception centre who had applied for the job out of desperation, but only a handful, including Brain, had been accepted!

They even choose young and strong people to take to their deaths! Old and weak people were rejected without even talking to them!

Looking at the 10 silver coins in his hand, Brain's eyes filled with determination.

"I'm selling my life for money, but I can't help it! I have to! Better to live and die like a king one day than to die every day!"

The next day.

Brain felt a mixture of excitement and fear as he walked deeper into the forest with the young and strong men without star power who had been chosen to hunt star beasts like him.

He had eaten and drunk with the 10 silvers he had bought yesterday, rented an inn room and brought 2 women to his room to please him.

This is how a man should live!

Once he had tasted such pleasures, he couldn't give it up! He should not lose this job no matter what! 

He should continue to survive and enjoy life!

While Brain was in his thoughts, he bumped into the back of the man in front of him without realising that the group he was moving with had stopped.

"Oh sorry..."

"Idiot..."

Brain ignored what the man said and looked ahead, wondering why they had stopped.

Captain Daniel, who had brought them deeper into the forest, was standing over the crates carried by a group of starfighters, looking up at him.

"If you're done chatting, will you listen to me?

Brain and the others looked at Daniel with instant attentiveness.

Seeing everyone staring at him in silence, Daniel nodded.

"Well done. Now each of you will take one of the firearms in this box."

As soon as Daniel finished speaking, he pushed the top of a crate on the floor with the tip of his foot and the firearms inside the crate appeared.

...

But Brain and the others, not knowing what these firearms were, stared blankly at the weapons in the chest.

What are these metal things? Swords? Knives? Spears, maybe? But there are no sharp or cutting edges, so how can we hurt the star monsters with these things?

These were the common thoughts of Brain and the others who had no star power.

Daniel shouted angrily at the men who stared blankly at the weapons in the box.

"I said get the firearms!" 

As soon as Daniel shouted, they all rushed into action and grabbed the first firearm they could get their hands on.

Daniel waited for a short while and when he saw that everyone had a firearm, he himself bent down, picked up a gun from the box and began to explain.

"What you see here is called a firearm!"

Under the curious looks of the men in front of him, Daniel continued to explain everything about the gun.

How to use the firearm, how to hold it, how to aim it and how to change the magazine. 

He explained all this in a short time.

"Understood?"

Brain and the others shouted in unison.

"Yes, sir!"

At Daniel's signal, the starfighters began handing out magazines full of bullets, and when they were done, Daniel turned around and started walking deeper into the forest.

"Good, then it's time to shoot."

Remembering the whole thing like a flash of lightning, Brain waited excitedly outside the door.

He had awakened star power in a way he could never have imagined! He could now be considered a starfighter! Money would no longer be a problem for him.

A silly smile formed on Brain's face as he thought of the things he could do with money.

Meanwhile, Brain didn't realise it, but the door in front of him had opened and a group of people were looking at the stupid look on Brain's face.

Nikolai looked up at Daniel and asked.

"Is this the man you claim to have awakened your star power?"

"Yes sir!"

Looking at the stupid smile on Brain's face, Elsa said, "Is he an idiot? Or did he get a blow to the head during the hunt? What is that expression on his face?"

Waking up from his daydream, Brain was startled to see a group of people in front of him.

Senna looked at Brain and said, "His reflexes are terrible, I've seen worms that react faster than this guy."
