Kofun's mum had not heard the latest news, she was at home mourning the death of her son. When Kofun's mum heard the news about the dead man, a part of her was happy knowing the dead man was not her son while the other part was not thinking her son could be dead wherever he is. As regards the unknown dead man, the queen had engaged her guards in a thorough investigation which included door-to-door frisk. She wanted to know who the dead man was. Due to the investigation, the land was in disarray, the queen wouldn't stop until she knew the dead person. The mother of the dead boy was in the land thinking she was the cause of the uproar happening in the land, guilt wouldn't leave her be, she manned up and went to confess to the queen that she was the mother of the dead person. She took her time to explain how she hid her boy and made a hut for him in the woods, she also clarified that her boy had a congenital contagion. The Queen was not a forgiving type (no queen is a forgiving type). The act of deceits is punishable under the law, so the queen punished her according to the law of the land, but her punishment was lesser than she was supposed to get because she just lost her only son. Now that Kofun's mum knows that there's a chance for her child to be alive, she got back to her optimism, hoping kofun would one day come home, the Queen still thinks Kofun's mum hid her son from her and

She didn't forget the days she gave her to provide her son of which tomorrow will be the dead line. With that in mind, the queen sent her guards to remind Kofun's mum about tomorrow, Kofun's mum felt disturbed, she got a lot on her mind, she locked up getting ready for whatever would happen tomorrow, she knew the worst the queen could do was arrest her.
